This is an important weekend address. I heard plenty of pundits after the SOTU complaining that the President didn’t talk about clean energy or climate change. Clearly, they weren’t listening. Creating a goal that 80% of all electricity will come from clean energy by 2035 is a huge incentive for investment, interest, focus and growth for consumers and producers. By setting a long term goal, we can develop multiple milestones to get us there, and we’ll continue to see progress over the long term, which is what it will take to really change attitudes and build a thriving industry. Very good.
Very good, indeed, a goal and a plan! Now if only the GOP would listen and learn. The news media haven’t mentioned this as far as I am aware, but you would think they’d call out the GOP for not having a sensible plan to replace the HRC, given how long they had been talking and planning repeal.
