Seriously, I can’t even being to describe how thrilled I am about Donna Dem winning the grassroots fundraising challenge and that she’ll get to speak to the President. It’s just insanely brilliant!
As Donna said today, endless thanks to all you great people who helped her win this challenge and contributed towards the President’s spectacular fundraising total in the third quarter of the year. That 606,027 people donated to the campaign - even more than in the record-breaking previous quarter - is just astonishing. And remember, the President had to cancel countless fundraising events because he was busy doing his job. The support he’s receiving is beyond heart-warming.
I’m always reluctant to press you about donating because I know times are seriously tough for so many of you.
But your response to Donna Dem’s fundraising drive was so fantastic I’m thinking we should try to keep this going - either through Donna’s fundraiser at OFA, if she’s good with that, or a general Obama Diary fundraiser. Let me know what you think, I’m completely open to any suggestions.

Elizabeth Warren is amazing. The Firebaggers, in their complete desperation to find anti-President Obama allies, have tried so hard to portray her as an enemy of the President, but she’s never been anything of the sort. In that respect (Charlie), they’re no better than the right, attempting to twist Warren’s words to promote their anti-Obama agenda. Do you see a pattern here? Fire/Teabaggers? Over and over again ….. lies, hate, same agenda, defeat Obama, whatever it takes.

A top commander of the Haqqani militant network has been killed in a US drone strike in the Pakistani tribal area of North Waziristan, a US official says.
Janbaz Zadran “played a central role in helping the Haqqani network attack US and coalition targets” in Afghanistan, the official told the BBC.
The US blames the Haqqanis for attacks including one on the US embassy and Nato in Kabul last month.

Janbaz Zadran, who the US says was also known as Jamil, was a key lieutenant to Badruddin Haqqani, one of the group’s commanders and the son of its founder, the Associated Press says.
Badruddin Haqqani is on a US state department blacklist.
Zadran had access to Haqqani’s leadership in Miram Shah. He served as a key lieutenant to Haqqani network commander Badruddin Haqqani. In May, the US designated Badruddin Haqqani a terrorist. He’s the son of the group’s founder, Jalaluddin Haqqani, according to the State Department.
“His death in Miram Shah makes him the most senior Haqqani leader in Pakistan to be taken off the battlefield,” the official said.

only one thing worries me as i retire for the day which is: i fear bloomberg is trying to set up an unnineccesary confrontation with the OWS which has been protesting peacefully. it is nagging me.
i guess rich people have heard enough and are sticking together. what if the NYPD p refuse to enforce the eviction order - after all most are among the 99%?
You are also voicing my concern. I have read it is more than one city where OWS is trying to be evicted. I am still not sure how I feel about the whole thing but they don’t deserve to be treated this way by the police.

I say lets a have an Obama Diary fundraising page. And to Donna: don’t care what you say to the President, its your moment so ask him anything BUT be sure to give a shout out to The Obama Diary and ask him to visit the site - incognito of course.
In other news, I had a dream that I was inches away from VP Joe Biden. He was sitting at a table talking to someone and I just walked by not wanting to disturb him.
Oh and yeah it irritates me to no end that firebaggers STILL continue to try and imagine that PBO and Warren are enemies or that he mistreated her. They want to treat her as a warrior and as a dainty little grandma who was overpowered by the evil, spineless Obama administration. They need to make up their minds about who they believe Pres. Obama is. And it really bugs me that her words are never attributed to Pres. Obama but every word out of Geithner is the same as Pres. Obama saying it. They work so hard to ignore Pres. Obama’s role in Warren’s thinking or actions.
I want to echo all the sentiments here and congratulate Donna. You, Like Chips, BWD, Bob(twitter soldier) and the TOD family, inspire me.{(hugs)}

It was so much fun to see Donna’s numbers go up that I would love to see that momentum continue here. Now that Donna has so richly succeeded in her goal, maybe we can set up a TOD fundraising page. Whatever happens, it does wonders for my morale just to feel a part of all this. There are so many wonderful people here. Family troubles have kept me busy lately, but I still look forward to my daily “drive-by’s” to get laughs, encouragement, and inspiration.

I like the idea of a TOD donation page. Like Donna’s fundraiser, it gives us a sense of pulling together and makes us even more of a team. By the way, as incentive for action the materials that WIW sends for those who send her their Obama/Biden 2012 related weekly activities are BEAUTIFUL! I was thrilled to get buttons, magnets and a key chain-all skillfully put together. This is a lot of effort on WIW’s part and much appreciated.
She really does do a lot - I don’t know how she finds the time for it all. Like Chipster.
