My late father used to say, “Public relations is 99% doing good and 1% getting credit for it.”
There are quite a few people and organizations out there who would do well to remind themselves of this principle.
Sick, twisted and insane. They’ve stewed in their ideology for so long they don’t even realize how they come across. Just putrid.
‘Sick, twisted.. insane’, ‘putrid’, PJ, BUT now in the light so voters can see! Not only can voters not plead ignorance if they vote in the GOP, they would also be giving them the right to think their positions are mainstream, and GOD (or your chosen deity) help America if that were to happen! I think a combination of events have led to this point where GOP are showing what they are really made of well before the election so that the word can spread. If we share info like this with our relatives, friends, coworkers who are not as tuned in, they’ll understand the NEED TO VOTE…I hope.

Bob Casey will clean Tom Smith’s clock in November. Smith is the Republican nightmare candidate. Rabid primary voters rebelled against safer choices and went with the full on looney. With a presidential year level of voting among PA Dems, this guy will go down so far, people will be shouting “Timber!”

I’m so glad our convention is second this year! It will change the tone in the country and put everything on a more positive note.
Interestingly, more people are interested in hearing President Clinton and President Obama than Mitt Romney. Romney polls under GWB for anticipation of his speech. (I read this on the blog roll at right) That statistic says a lot. Clinton and Obama are at 52 & 51%, and Romney in the low 40’s. I don’t care how much money those guys spend, they can’t make anyone like Romney……I keep remembering Harvey Weinstein’s Edsel analogy about an inferior product pushed by a lot of money…..people just wouldn’t buy it.

I pray it never happen, but if I had a young daughter who was rape and she came pregnant, it is not these men decision to tell my family that this my kid has to have that baby. Some people can deal with it and some can’t
amen-this is the most personal, private decision, and none of government’s business. government does have a role, however, in arresting, prosecuting, and incarcerating the rapist!! if they were doing their job, we wouldn’t have these decisions to make-most rapists are repeaters.

But we must work hard: phone banking, canvassing, educating the media-bashing vulnerable, etc.
