HEADLINE: Amk melts down in complete and utter adoration.
A pastor was giving the children’s message during church. For this part of the service, he would gather all the children around him and give a brief lesson before dismissing them for children’s church. On this particular Sunday, he was using squirrels for an object lesson on industry and preparation.
He started out by saying, “I’m going to describe something, and I want you to raise your hand when you know what it is.” The children nodded eagerly.
“This thing lives in trees (pause) and eats nuts (pause)…” No hands went up. “And it is gray (pause) and has a long bushy tail (pause)…” The children were looking at each other, but still no hands raised. “And it jumps from branch to branch (pause) and chatters and flips its tail when it’s excited (pause)…”
Finally one little boy tentatively raised his hand. The pastor breathed a sigh of relief and called on him. “Well,” said the boy, “I know the answer must be Jesus … but it sure sounds like a squirrel to me!”

I have been there! Ireland is …. beyond words beautiful! And once you have been there, you always want to go back!
I can say that I’ve been lucky enough to have visited the Cliffs. It’s the only vacation abroad that I’ve taken where I was genuinely ticked off about coming home. I think if I’d just had stayed one more week in Ireland I might have stayed. Ireland was just as green as all the pictures of it I had seen. I loved it.
It’s “White House Gone Wild Over There” — people are running around all over the place, squealing and grinning, jumping in and out of chairs, playing hide & seek behind the podium. I hear the apples are spiked with some sort of “juice” too. It’s outrageous!
Why hasn’t the President weighed in on this matter? Where has he been?

They assume that Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians, are totally ignorant of the blatantly racist features of what constitutes the conservative agenda; racist features that are routinely, and openly, espoused by white racists.
That site is a cesspool of Republican nonsense, but reading the comments was actually quite interesting. The right wingers were trying to justify the GOP chasing after anyone of colour that could become “their own Obama”, and they were being beaten back by some fairly cogent arguments. I knew this Carson character was bad news the day I saw him at that prayer breakfast, and the fact that he’s being seduced into even thinking of running for President with the simplistic, half-baked, right-wing ideas he presented at the prayer breakfast is ridiculous. Plus, he disrespected the President, and this proves it.

I just came on to encourage the PBO twitter warriors and bloggers to not let the Republicans/Teabaggers distract the american people from the critical issues in PBO’s SOTU address tomorrow and the days after. I believe that Rubio, Paul and Nugent were carefully chosen to prevent the American public from digesting the president’s speech; to sidetrack them from what is really relevant. The media will be deliberately busy comparing the three opposing responses instead of highlighting the important tenets provided by the president.
I am therefore encouraging the PBO twitter brigade along with those who blog and are on Facebook to inundate the airwaves, virtual space and twitterverse with excerpts from the president. Do not let the media suppress the impact of President Obama’s delivery. Force them to focus on what matters best for the USA.
May God bless, guide, protect and prosper the president, his family and his ardent supporters.
