Great recap of the trip to Africa, LP. Wild story of the plane crash. So lucky there were no casualties, but the event must have been terrifying to all aboard. Frankly, I’ve never heard of Asiana Airlines.

Excellent young man, this David Eun. So composed, even while still shaken up by the crash. I think he realizes that the media, especially CNN, won’t help disseminate accurate information, but will focus on supposition and multiple scenarios - probably hinting at nefarious causes. I’m glad everyone is ok. I just drove back from San Francisco and arrived home 10 minutes ago!

Wow! It’s rare to have a color photo from that era. Does anyone else remember that Margaret was a singer? She appeared on tv (B&W) at one point-I think it was the Ed Sullivan show. Her father was fiercely protective of her and lashed out at those who criticized her singing ability. I remember my older sisters were very eager to see her on television, even though we all had to troop to a friend’s house to watch.

Ironically, dudette, Eisenhower era Republicans believed this too and many moderate Rs that were once in the US Congress, the Senate and in our state houses. These old time Republicans would be appalled at the party that carries that name today.

It looks like the Asiana plane’s tail section hit something just off the bay while landing.

The tweeter that news media is relying on is a Samsung exec.

JackieGrumbacher mentioned that she hasn’t heard of Asiana airlines. The people I know who travel to Asia from the west coast prefer non-US flights to Asia. The service and food are much better; you know how the airlines here skimp on everything, including space for passengers, so most people non-US flights for longhaul overseas flights.

    Here’s a couple of tweets from @MarcAmbinder, who is a national security-engineering journo-geek:

Never flown into SFO, but I think flying into Oakland is scary because it feels like you’re in the bay as the plane approaches the landing strip. Really don’t like it, and imagine that SFO is much the same.

TBGOPers are becoming an abusive party. The Male dominated party is bent on controlling, dictating and legislating to the 51% of the population……53% plus of the electorate on what to do with their bodies. The Constitution is individually based. Nothing about regulating our individual bodies. Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness alone is the beginning and the end of that story. It is Up to Us to say: Enough.

I just came in from working outside most of the day and saw the SF Air Crash headline.. and totally freaked for a minute. My Nephew’s wife and baby just went to Seoul to visit her family a few weeks ago and I had to call my sister to make sure they weren’t on that plane. Luckily they are already back home in DC safe and sound. I hope everyone on that flight makes it.. the fact that so many walked away thus far is truly miraculous.

Greenwald is just lashing out at people, insulting them, calling them all kinds of names just because they ask him questions that he doesn’t want to answer.

But HF2, GG loves openness? Right? Transparency is his righteous virtue? He alone would deliver the US and the world from the wrong Only GG can determine?

I wonder what GG’s reaction would be if questioned on his “porn past activities” today?

Greenwald is as nasty and infantile as Limbaugh. Wish they’d both leave the public arena as they have nothing valid to offer.

Adam Serwer isn’t he the far leftie that many Left leaning Hosts be them on TV/Cable or Radio love to book? So he obviously doesn’t like GG. By the time all is done…..GG would implode…….would be by a fast car…..accident? Overdose? Hmm? The man is an unhappy man. That is why he tries way too hard.

    • 83 arapaho415

This is reason # 890,887 that I HATE greenwald with a passion and am so hoping that he becomes unemployable as a journalist.

His cult must be as mean-spirited as he is.

He lacks empathy and routinely savages his so-called “friends” on twitter when they disagree with him.

I know that many here don’t like Andrew Sullivan, but he is who he is. He’s human, he’s gotten things wrong, and continues to cling to wrong beliefs (i.e., The Bell Curve), but he’s passionate and honest about his beliefs. Whether you agree with him or not, he’s true to himself.

But man, if Sully disagrees with GG, GG is unrelenting in his inhuman venom (just as he is with every PBO tweet).

This Daniel Serwer tweet is completely uncalled for, the most unprofessional tweet by a “journalist” in awhile.

      Vile, odious GG.
