I thought they both did CRAZY good. Both did not hold back any punches. POTUS’s delivery was much much better but McHale had some seriously good stuff. The Christy weight joke was over the top imo but the bit he did about investigating his own joke was some seriously clever writing - omg, that totally busted Christie’s lies. FOX and right wingers have to be so pissed their bs was called out by both POTUS and McHale.
I am glad to see we agree. The Mchale bit about Christie exonerating himself was a classic.
And POTUS did what I was hoping for. He took the RW losers Down.
I have to say, Joel was edgy and over the line at times, but he took no prisoners and kind of powered thru like Colbert. You could tell he was a democrat, and he went hard after CNN and the repubs.

Totally agree. I think McHale confused viciousness with snarkiness. But I thought the Christie fat joke was perfect because it was the same level of outrageousness as shutting down a bridge to exact political revenge against who wouldn’t do favors for his political friends, while lying about knowing about it and later having the citizens of New Jersey pay one million dollars to faux exonerate him.
