Deval Patrick is the most charismatic and effortlessly in touch politician I can think of. He leaves all the others in the dust. Warren, MOM and youknowwho.
Why aren’t we talking more about him?

MSNBC the Democratic flavored broadcasting arm of the GOP/MSM/Corporate State.
Hosted by the Privileged Left and the Repubs themselves. Very few exceptions. (Rev. Al who is a hero to me spends too much of his time on The GOP Today.)

Day after day more unwatchable by the moment. HF and others never tune in and I am getting to that point, too.

Vicki, for the past two evenings, I have been companioning an 86 y/o lady with advanced dementia. She loves to watch television. So, as part of my work with her, I keep her company and watch with her. I have not seen a ‘news program’ for perhaps 2 or 3 years. Anyway, I found it painful to watch, to listen to and to understand. Even our local news station, (the one I stopped viewing after that very first debacle of a ‘presidential debate’, remember the Flag Pin crap?); tho Seattle is very blue and democratic, it all sounded slanted, rehearsed and I had a feeling of low information, incomplete and frustrating. And I am intelligent!! I really am! So, I found it not only draining to the point of exhaustion, but I also felt as if I was supposed to be learning something, but nothing of substance was offered. I have several more nights of the same ahead, but knowing it is only temporary is comforting! However, it’s a good reminder of the dumbing down of America, and why people do not seem to have clear views and opinions on what is true, or phoney. That’s all. Just a refresher. I love that my brain is clear, and free of the incessant droning on of voices and primped people who supposedly ‘know better’ than I do. Life is stronger without television.

….The Senate HELP Committee passed a version of health reform. A memo written by committee staff explained how the subsidies and exchanges would work, noting it would provide a “basic structure for a reformed market for health insurance in all 50 states”:

“It is the sense of the Senate that Congress should establish a means for All Americans to have affordable choices in health benefit plans…Each state will have an Affordable Health Benefit Gateway, established either by the state or by the Secretary of Health and Human Services….To reduce the economic burden of health care on vulnerable Americans, low-income, and moderate-income Americans who enroll in plans through the Gateways will be eligible for premium credits.”

The term “Gateway” referred to exchanges in all the states, whether or not they’d been established by the “Secretary,” i.e, the federal government. Americans who qualified for premium credits could get them through any Gateway…..continued

According to the linked article in the tweet:

//”White House Director of Energy and Climate Change Dan Utech told reporters on Monday that the actions would be part of President Obama’s strategy to cut methane emissions, a key directive under his Climate Action Plan announced last summer. Under the plan, Obama vowed to combat climate change despite inaction from Congress by using his executive powers to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Utech said the executive actions would consist of newly announced partnerships with natural gas producers, a $30 million Department of Energy program supporting technology to decrease methane leaks, and a series of white papers from the Environmental Protection Agency to help identify “potentially significant” sources of methane beyond pipeline leaks.
Utech also said the President would announce a framework to change the existing program encouraging natural gas companies to reduce their methane emissions voluntarily. Attempting to improve that voluntary compliance program is especially timely, as the Environmental Protection Agency’s inspector general last week released a report finding it woefully inadequate in preventing leaks from the natural gas industry.”//

Somehow, I cannot help but feel if we were already adapted to Solar, world-wide, a sun threat would not have the same impact. But then, all those poor oil-gluttons would be feeling like paupers. Until they can garner the entire solar market tp their advantage, they will continue their mass-scale assault on all living things. What I find puzzling, where do they plan to run to, when the Earth is exhausted, and uninhabitable? One must wonder… Mustn’t one? Thank you, Mr. President, for all your vision, and your dedication to believing in the goodness of human nature.

Even with solar we’d be in trouble. It’s the electronics which are under threat from the solar eruptions. A giant one and everything could go down—satellites and power grid.

I just remembered. On Aug 29th, 2008, as the Dems were wrapping up their convention in CO, that very night, John McCain imposed Sarah Palin on Us, knocking off the News Cycle for then Sen Obama and his running-mate, sen Joe Biden. It is not a coincident that Palin started talking about impeachment. She knew that PalinTV was about to be launched. She did it to gain free marketing publicity and to get her gullible followers to sign up and pay for her Money making venture. The thing that gets me is…….her M.O is pretty easy to figure out. Why are the Media and MSNBC talking about her 24/7 is beyond me.

// Compared to the same month last year, MSNBC was down -16% in total viewers and -33% in A25-54 viewers in total day. In primetime, the network was down -6% and -25%, respectively.

MSNBC’s daytime programming struggled in July. Marking six months at 4pmET, “Now with Alex Wagner” is down -28% in total viewers and -57% in the demo compared to last year when Martin Bashir hosted the hour; the demo is the lowest at 4pmET since 2005. “The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd” is down -21% in viewers and -47% in the demo; the latter is the lowest since 2004.

In primetime, all three MSNBC’s shows were up in total viewers but down double digits in the demo. “All In with Chris Hayes” was up +6% in total viewers and down -20% in the demo, “The Rachel Maddow Show” was up +2% in total viewers and down -20% in the demo, and “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” was up +8% and down -17%, respectively. //

That’s true - but there are other reasons why they are dropping. FOX News and CNN are also pro-Israel and they did not drop.

MSNBC had a unique opportunity to cater to pragmatic liberals - most of whom are part of PBO’s coalition, and they instead catered to far left=wing emoprogs and Libertarians instead. There is no pragmatic progressive narrative on MSNBC. It’s either GOP talking points or Greenwaldian talking points.
