first!
Congrats on 1st Canadabarb and thanks for the tweets NW.
many thanx
You’re welcome, COS.
Wow! Congrats on your first CanacaBarb! :star:
CanadaBarb! (sorry)
lolol
Congrats canadabarb :)
BRAVO, NW!!!!!
it was such an honour!
Thanks, Bob.
Just seeing this, BCFFAA! Congrats on 1st!
Guess who’s going to MHP show tomorrow…a whole lot of PBO bashers….
All those very comfortable black folks wouldn’t muss their attire trying to understand boots on the ground. Harriett Tubman would’ve shot them.
Amen!
Hello Kasai. Delurking to find out did @MichaelEDyson ever answer your tweet where you quoted him about what a black president could accomplish?
Nope! He’s been silent ever since…maybe I should send it MHP tomorrow…thinking about it, or should wait after the show.
I read his Op-ed on Wapo bashing PBO once more..left the same quote…
He got clobbered don’t even think they have it up in the front page..I just need and answer…why did he change his view once PBO was elected.
I also found an article he went after Cornell West..hard because he wasn’t invited to his first inauguration…Funny thing is, Dyson was invited on PBO’s 1st inauguration…but not the 2nd…LOL!
Starting to think..bird of a feather…something like that..
These are all individuals with inelastic, brittle egos, Kasai, as you know. President Obama is polar opposite. His ego is entirely defined by his own person and by the value he creates each day. He measures himself against his goals and aspirations, daily, and is his own harshest critic, internally. That is why he is such a great leader. Great leaders are motivated internally, not from external forms of gratification.
Thank you Bob…beautifully expressed…
Thank you, Kasai
As are all who strive to work and live on a Soul level, tho they may not be president of anything.
Bobfr… YOU ARE THE MAN! :-)
Not surprised. HuffNPuff Dyson and his ilk would never own up to what they say on either side of the fence. They do what’s expedient and it’s always all about them. Thank you for researching his previous statements and throwing one of them in his face. Made my week!
My pleasure:-)
Happy Weekend!
Happy weekend to you as well! :-)
Back to lurking. I get so much more out of what is being posted when I do not try to comment. Takes me too long to formulate. Chips, Nerdy and BTs move too fast for this old person. However, I do appreciate honest, trustworthy news and info which is what I get from the TOD community. THANK YOU ALL!!!
Lovely to see you lmrjones, hope all’s good with you - delurk again soon, okay? :-)
Thank you our awesome blog mistress CHIPS!!! Absolutely do not know how I would survive without you and this wonderful community you have created! THANK YOU… THANK YOU… THANK YOU!!!
A very ginormous hug back at ya, lmrjones!
It’s been a rough week. The only way I’ve survived is living and breathing everything that’s posted on TOD! All of you have literally saved my sanity this week. I’ve shared much of the info from here on Facebook with my family. It’s the only way many of them have obtained the truth of what was happening in Ferguson. Much love and appreciation to all of you… BTs, commenters, lurkers who have delurked… ALL OF YOU!
Ah lmrjones, so happy you got some comfort here, take good care of yourself, and do NOT be a stranger!
Thanks, Lmrjones.

Evening guys!
Hi lamh36 where you been? have not seen you here in awhile…. :)
Chief: St. Louis officer on leave after video tirade
Video has surfaced showing a St. Louis County, Mo., police officer engaging in an hour-long lecture in which he rails against “our undocumented president,” the “black-robed perverts” of the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. laws that promote equality, prompting the police chief to put him on administrative leave.
Officer Dan Page gained notoriety last Monday after shoving CNN host Don Lemon during live coverage from Ferguson, Mo., where protests erupted after police fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown on Aug. 9. On Friday, CNN telephoned the St. Louis County Police Department to say the news organization had obtained a tape of Page speaking to an organization called the Oath Keepers, which describes itself as a group of current and former law enforcement and military personnel compelled to disobey rules that members believe violate the Constitution.
In the tape, Page, a retired Army sergeant major, boasts of having killed and says, “We have no business passing hate-time laws — none — because we’re setting aside a group of people special.”
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/08/22/st-louis-county-officer-tirade-dan-page/14465647/
Didn’t Green Greenwald speak at Oath Keepers? Isn’t he a supporter of that hate group?
He is a 35 yr officer per CNN. None can tell me that his views were not known in that Police Dept. He even went to Kenya and said what again? How idiotic….that POTUS was from Kenya and was an alien? For the Love of Humanity and this guy for the last 5 plus years is a Racist allowed to carry a gun?
Per CNN, the racist officer is now relived from his duties and he will be going through psychological evaluations? Now, that the tapes are out?
These racists are contradictory. This guy said he was not a coward? Then why was he not openly displaying his views? But Nena, he did at the Oath Keepers and his co-workers might have known too. He was on CNN pushing Don Lemon…a Guy American.
ALL the MO police in their police departments need psychological evaluations then rehired if they can be rehabilitated…..those that can’t can hit the road.
if that nut hadn’t shoved lemon, would cnn have even bothered?
Ah, good question - tweet it! And it’s pretty friggin’ hard to believe his colleagues/superiors weren’t aware of his views when he was allowing himself be filmed at stuff like that Oath Keepers thing.
Glenn
I actually like Green Greenwald better:)
LOL!!
Nerdy Nerdy Nerdy, how do you do it? Chipsticks and Company of Champion Blog-Superstars, how could I get through the day/week/year without you? #dontreallywannaknow #thankyoutimesinfinity

Oh, there he is - thank you BFF!!
My pleasure, BFF.
:( Sorry, that page doesn’t exist. :( Daughter on plane. ETA: 9:30pmPDT! ;) Meanwhile, kitty and I will find our solace here, with y’all.
MP, I’m certain that the reason CapeCast was told to pull that tweet, immediately, is because the photographer captured the Street sign in the background, i.e., anyone would have been able to find her home. That’s a big, no no. Unfortunately, it’s likely that the photo will persist.
They’ve reposted the tweet … the street sign has been partially obscured but anyone who knows MV would be able to find the house …
I iz happy nowz! Looky here: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/VRD797 ;) <3
A beautiful evening to be landing at SEA :)
Great Post. A load of information, indeed. Thanks NW.
See you all tomorrow.
Um, someone with a Unite Blue thingie just FFed me and, well, @JonHuntsman.
What?
Oops.
Lithuania says its honorary consul in the rebel-held city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine has been murdered by “terrorists” there.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius tweeted with “deep sorrow” that “Mr Mykola Zelenec kidnapped & brutally killed by terrorists there”.
Ukraine routinely calls the pro-Russian separatists in Luhansk “terrorists”.
The news came amid reports that some Russian aid lorries had reached Luhansk without any permission from Ukraine.
There has been no comment from the rebels yet on the Lithuanian diplomat’s death.
Lithuania is among the most vociferous EU member states in its criticism of Russian actions in Ukraine. The EU and US accuse Russia of fomenting the separatist rebellion in eastern Ukraine.

Lithuania called the closed door UN Security Council meeting earlier today, amk. Lithuanian UN Ambassador Ambassador Raimonda Murmokaitė is articulate and fierce and I’ve watched her take on RU’s Churkin on many occasions and would have very much liked to see how she tore into him today.
Yep. CNN has past “Peak TEANN” and is now in free fall into the Rush, National Enquirer sewer.
heh, if you can not fight them, join them, right? pathetic.
Pathetic, indeed. CNN used to be a legit journalism organization.

POTUS hit the road Tuesday, he will be in North Carolina to give a speech. I heard that on the local news tonight.
Whoa! Anniebella, bless you! This is lovely delightful news to me. Earlier, I commented about some ads that are showing for Michelle Nunn. Someone commented that she was polling 6 points behind David Perdue. Here is a poll that says the opposite:

ATLANTA —
A new poll in Georgia’s U.S. Senate race shows Republican candidate David Perdue is slipping further behind Democratic candidate Michelle Nunn.
The Landmark Communications poll conducted exclusively for WSB-TV asked active Georgia voters who they would choose if the election were held today.
Nunn received 47 percent of the vote and Perdue received 40 percent. Libertarian candidate Amanda Swafford received 3 percent and 10 percent of respondents remain undecided.
The poll shows Perdue with a 7-point advantage among men but trailing Nunn 52 percent to 34 percent when it comes to women voters.
Nunn has a 65 percent advantage when it comes to African-American voters while Perdue maintains a 20-point edge among white voters.
