Black on Black Crime is one of those important issues for White people that somehow only comes up when a White person kills a Black person.

South Carolina indicted 3 white cops in 4 months, and that's probably not a coincidence wapo.st/1zw6Op8
— Washington Post (@washingtonpost) December 06, 2025
In South Carolina, a state with a long and deep history of racial discrimination against African Americans, three white law enforcement officers have been indicted in recent months on charges stemming from incidents in which they shot — and in two cases, killed — unarmed black men.

What the Obama economy looks like, in 2 charts wapo.st/1zw88s4 http://t.co/Pyrnsg4iFo
— Washington Post (@washingtonpost) December 06, 2025
The release of the November jobs report Friday morning offered good news for the economy writ large (big job growth, still to be adjusted) and therefore for President Obama. Obama has now observed the release of about three-quarters of the jobs reports that fell under his jurisdiction — 23 more until the presidential election! — meaning, as a corollary, that we now have a pretty good sense of how his tenure will be viewed. Because the economy is so big and so diverse, individual numbers tend to get hard to see in comparison to the overall trend. Health care stands out (here including social assistance workers); it has seen growth month after month after month.

Great local food + great jobs for Bay Area youth. Help us make it happen! bit.ly/thetownkitchen #TheTownKitchen http://t.co/1W0vyaXTVL

A very lovely pal of TOD on Twitter has asked us to consider sharing some love with this amazing project.
You can read about it here:
East Bay Express: The Town Kitchen: Food Delivery for a Cause
In the Bay Area’s tech-driven, convenience-oriented, “Uberized” economy, food delivery services that shuttle gourmet meals to your doorstep at the click of a button are a dime a dozen. But Sabrina Mutukisna’s new food delivery business, The Town Kitchen, is almost certainly the only one that is operated almost entirely by low-income Oakland youth — from cooking and packaging to distribution and delivery. Not only does she eventually plan to offer steady employment to 43 Oakland youth between the ages of 15 and 24, Mutukisna said she also wants to offer employees the chance to receive college credit for participating in The Town Kitchen training program, which will equip them with skills for whatever career path they choose to pursue.
