Well, in what seemed an unusual recovery, she was really perky after we came home, prolly just so relieved to be here! The evening was peaceful and quiet, a good night overall, but this morning, all hell broke loose around 7:15, took me hours to get everything cleaned up, and she was just exhausted (moi aussi) for the rest of the day. I trust she will improve a bit each day, at least that it how the two previous injections showed a positive effect. Thank you for asking, GG. _^..^_

Well Jewelz whomever the person is they got a taste of what Twitter has to offer to racists and fools (often one and the same).

My hope is that Scalise is informed by his staff or find the exchange himself for two reasons: 1. his past will never be forgotten, and 2. he should file a complaint with Twitter as to make it unambiguous that it is a parody account and is in no way affiliated with him or anyone on his staff.

have him define “many years.” probably means 2003 or something like that. good to know this for when the republican flying monkeys come with the “but robert bryd blah blah blah…” false equivalence, which they always do. of course we know there’s no comparison to this relatively young guy scalise.

Sterling of Clippers said it last year and the US Media ignored it. Racism in Israel against people of color is rampant.
Netanayhu is No different. He was born in USA, Indiana or so. Clinton wanted Real Peace and Netanyahu didn’t, Bibi worked his magic and his party was elected to guarantee the death of Peace and Netanyahu became PM. Same thing happened 4 yrs ago. Netanyahu has been playing these games for in the Senate, at least, 13 members are of the Jewish faith and Dems have traditionally be more Favorable to Israel since Truman than the Johnny come lately, the TBGOPers.

Progressives cannot allow Barack Obama’s legacy to be relentlessly trashed the way Carter’s legacy was. Quite frankly, we need a Barack Obama Legacy Project, one that will recognize, today, tomorrow and forever, his true significance to America and the world.

With two years remaining in his term, a compelling case can be made that Barack Obama is one of the greatest presidents of all-time. Look at the track record: an economy resurrected, Osama bin Laden brought to ultimate justice, the Iraq War ended, millions of Americans finally accessing health care, dramatic advances in equal treatment for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans, two brilliant Supreme Court appointees, sweeping economic reform, and an energy policy that, while imperfect, nevertheless takes the climate crisis seriously.

He accomplished all of this despite raw hatred from ā€œbirthersā€ and Tea Partiers who went to bed every night dreaming of seeing Obama’s black body swinging from a tree—as well as that of his father, for being uppity enough to marry a white woman. He accomplished this despite hyper-partisan media entities that smeared him as a Marxist from Mombasa. He accomplished this despite being unfairly blamed for the dementia and depravity of a right-wing Congress.

Then he gets a little wiggy…( veto of XL pipeline that hasn’t landed on his desk as far as I know!) All in all though…pretty much what we’ve all been saying and preaching for YEARS!

Most hospitals in the U.S. are charitable organizations. They don’t pay taxes because they are supposed to be a key part of the safety net for the nation’s poor patients. In theory, patients who aren’t covered by Medicaid and can’t afford insurance — or who are underinsured and can’t afford their out-of-pocket costs — can receive necessary care from a nonprofit hospital without facing financial ruin. Each hospital is required to offer services to lower-income patients at a reduced cost and to have a financial assistance policy that states who qualifies for aid, known as “charity care.”

But while hospitals are required to have this policy, there have been very few rules on how they publicize it or how they treat patients who qualify. That’s where the new rules, which go into effect in 2016, will make the biggest difference. The rules were required as part of the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

I’ve enjoyed practicing minimalism for about 10 years and it has truly been life changing in a very good way! I really do have so much more time to do the things I want to do versus always cleaning or replacing “time saving” devices, kitchen appliances, clothes, etc. I keep finding ways that I need less though, it’s rather interesting…

What a relief to come here and get such a dense roundup of information after fighting a day long battle with a computer virus. I’m still not sure we won, but at least I’m not having to reboot every hour and I’m managing to get through a page without the keyboard freezing up. Then WP insisted that TOD was not a recognized site and I had to go through a lot of mystifying rejiggering to get here. Computers are great when everything works and nightmares when they don’t.

      Very Important read….

      from the article…
Legacy media isn’t mocking us because we aren’t a legitimate source of information; they’re mocking us because they’re terrified. Their legitimacy came from the fact that they have access to distribution channels and that they get to be in the White House press pool because of some long-ago established procedures that assumed they would use that power in the public interest. In reality, those things are becoming less and less important and less and less true. Distribution is free to anyone with a cell phone and the legitimacy of cable news sounds to me like an oxymoron. The median-aged CNN viewer is 60. For Fox, it’s 68.
