This just settles it for all time: without an iota of competition, PBO IS the bees’ knees! There has never been another, will never be another like him! <3:bear:<3
Chips and fellow TODobots, what a great gift to be able to experience POTUS’ 1st visit to Jamaica with you all! Thanks for the company and the community camaraderie. Now, I’m heading out to see if I can entice some sleep to stop by at casa VC.
.
Rest well, all you all! <3<3<3<3
Straight north on Clark Street between my place and Wrigley Field 2 miles north where the Cubs play a 50-50 season every year :( there used to be a really cool reggae bar called Wild Hare. Sadly it’s no longer there but this is where my friends and I would end up after watching the Cubs lose another one on a Saturday afternoon. Live reggae music; the best bands from Jamaica and wherever reggae is celebrated.
ok, this is just weird. Whotf writes “we can do better” when someone is shot in the back 8 times by a cop? No one. NO ONE except the robotic Hillary Clinton. You say “we can do better” when you lose a game or lose an election or screw up your diet. You don’t fucking say it about a murder.
And here is @HillaryClinton on #WalterScott. pic.twitter.com/rEPa78nOw7

Thank you Chips and NW for the great coverage! Needed this love after yesterday. So great to see PBO so appreciated. And very cool about Susan Rice and her return under these circumstances. I didn’t know she was of Jamaican heritage. The country seems so proud to have these two wonderful people visiting. Looking forward to tomorrow!
We were just in the Caribbean two weeks ago. I have studied the history, which is brutal. I am more proud of this president and love this president more every week. I am so grateful I have lived to witness his presidency.
I’m not surprised at the response you got Jb. Bob Schieffer is annoying as hell and a world class concern troll for Dems and the GOP. I try to watch “Sunday Morning” 1 1/2 hour very interesting news magazine show with Charles Osgood (who has done a pretty good job after the deceased Charles Kuralt). But friggin Scheiffer comes on right after and I cannot turn the tv off fast enough to avoid his first concern troll sentence such as, “How will President Obama get the GOP to approve his Iraq deal? With us today is Senator John McCain who says it has no chance of getting Senate approval!” UGGGHHH.
Ha. You just highlighted my own Sunday morning viewing - avoid MTP at all costs, mute Bob Scheiffer the minute he comes on for the teaser, then back to CBS Sunday Morning - which I hadn’t watched in years, until the current “news” crowd made it mandatory!
I’m the Surgeon General of the United States — which means it’s my job to keep America healthy by providing you with the best scientific information available about your health.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with President Obama, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and health care professionals to discuss climate change. We talked about the impact of climate change on public health and the importance of prevention.
Clearly, we all have a stake in our national and global health. Every single one of us stands to benefit from a public health system that is focused on wellness and prevention — not one that simply focuses on treating sickness and disease.
So as part of National Public Health Week, I’m taking your questions. If you’re on Twitter, and you’ve got a question about the impact of climate change on health — or any other public health topic — shoot it my way using the hashtag #AskTheSurgeonGeneral.
I’ll be answering your questions via video throughout the afternoon tomorrow from my Twitter account, @Surgeon_General.
Every one of us wants to do what we can to protect the health of our families, including the health of our grandchildren and future generations. That starts with being informed about how we can keep ourselves, and one another, healthy — particularly in the face of a changing climate.
I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say.
Stay healthy, America.

GM TOD. I read Hillary Clinton’s statement and varied responses. Some folks feel too little to late. I could have accepted her statement till she said, Respect all lives. Which has become the rallying cry for those who do not want to focus on the attack on Blk lives. A gaffe? Not in my opinion. She was trying not to offend the white folks. Sigh!

It’s been great to answer your questions. We are learning more every day about Zika, so stay up to...
Thanks for all the questions!
I'm traveling to Belize and according to the CDC it is a zika free zone, however, all the surrounding countries are effected. Is this because of poor reporting? Should I be concerned?
