Love it. Now with Iran deal pretty much taken care of except for the sound and fury signifying nothing, the attention goes back to DAESH. Turkey entering the fray both by giving a base for US bombers and getting into the action themselves, methinks there will be a lot of good news on that front as well.
And yes, the suicide bombing played a role, but there is no doubt in my mind some nudging from PBO and the administration played a key role.
John, PBO, the Europeans (especially NATO), the Iraqis and Iranians have been turning screws on Erdogan for months. Everyone is aware of all the evidence of Turkish troops aiding DAESH. But, I think that suicide attack plus PBO’s call a couple of days ago solidified the fact that if Erdogan wanted Turkey to remain in NATO he’d better get on the right side of history and stay put.
It changes the dynamics of the manned and unmanned air offensive against DAESH to have US/NATO forces able to use the two Turkish airfields, for sure. It’s also a blow to the Turkish “Sunni/Salafi” underbelly.

I am finding it difficult to feel sorry for people who live in a state who’s representatives make it easy for the mentally ill to get guns and the mentally ill NRA supporters. It was not those women fault they were gunned down but the people in the “right to own guns” states need to wake the F up.
