NEW STUDY SHOWS STEEP DECLINE IN OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS FOR HORMONAL IUDS
Findings Provide Further Evidence of Benefits of ACA Contraceptive Coverage Requirement for Women and Families
Cost is a clear obstacle to contraceptive choice, particularly for women seeking methods with substantial upfront costs, such as the IUD. A new Guttmacher study published in the journal Contraception highlights the importance of the contraceptive coverage guarantee of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in reducing these cost barriers. The study found that 87% of insured women would not have had to pay out of pocket for a hormonal IUD by the spring of 2014, a substantial increase from the 42% of women who would not have had to pay out of pocket before the implementation of the ACA provision in 2012. This increase occurred across all age-groups and regions of the country.
Jeb! Just gave his take on how America would look after his Presidency. He mostly talked about how awful it is now. I wonder where he could find the statistics he used or if they were true? It sounded like the opposite of what is true.

Her TL is just basically the same stuff attached to any tweet. I’d more inclined to block her before I block the jerk who responded to my tweet with the tired “propped up Wall Street and TPP” meme.
ahhh - I had forgotten - when my uncle worked in India for some years he no drive either. I assume by now you have safely arrived - wishing all good things for lovely daughter.
The problem with the story Trump told of a friend whose child got his vaccine then got autism is that Trump has told so many lies no one can believe him on anything.
Problem is 30% of Republicans will believe anything that fool says. When he becomes their nominee, ALL of them will vote for him.
We have two Dem candidates that currently don’t engender much excitement in the majority of Demo voters. We know that many Dems will just stay home if they don’t feel passionately about our candidates (see 2014). We need Joe Biden something awful or we might be in trouble.
More like a question you’d ask a bunch of beauty pageant contestants rather than Presidential candidates, but their answers are quite telling.
Carly’s answer was pretty damned pitiful. But then again, who gives a gnat’s mustache, they all suck as potential President’s in so many other more important ways..

A Texas college student wanted to show her support for Ahmed Mohamed. Twenty-four hours later, her hashtag has started a movement.
More than 700,000 people have taken to Twitter to support Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old student who was arrested after bringing a homemade clock to school that was mistaken for a bomb.
///
The hashtag was created by Amneh Jafari, who wrote, “If his name was John he would be labelled as a genius. Since its Ahmed he’s labelled as a “suspect”. #doublestandards #IStandWithAhmed.”
Jafari, a 23-year-old psychology student at the University of Texas Arlington (UTA), was shocked that such a young student was arrested in her state.
She told BBC Trending that as the oldest of nine children, with two siblings around Ahmed’s age, “it was so close to home.”
The number of Americans filing new applications for unemployment benefits fell last week to the lowest level in eight weeks, suggesting the labor market continued to strengthen despite the recent tightening in financial market conditions.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 11,000 to a seasonally adjusted 264,000 for the week ended Sept. 12, the Labor Department said on Thursday. That was the lowest reading since the week ended July 18.
It was the 28th straight week that claims remained below the 300,000 threshold, which is usually associated with a strengthening labor market.
Good morning desertflower and Nerdy and TOD.
I am glad to see this report on the unemployment numbers which remain excellent, week after week.
Yesterday Bloomberg said that retail sales had risen beyond what was expected.
What is going on with the gloom and doom coming out of the current campaigns? I mean all of them.
If you have a new job and you just got healthcare I don’t believe you think the world is coming to an end.
The only way I can make sense of the embrace of the Everything Sucks narrative is that it is in some way schaudenfreude.
in plain English
“I am doing okay, but it is nice to think that others are hurting” Why else would you be interested in country going down the tubes because of an incompetent dumb prezinent and government talk. Which is what Trump and others are peddling.

VP Biden will turn this around when he continues the joyous and uplifting POTUS message that we all are doing better together. Look how far we have come. The path ahead is bright.
LOL! This tweet from an anonymous tweeter (with under 1300 followers) has more fave’s & RT’s than any campaign tweet from any current 2016 candidate - Repub or Dem.
The only way to respond to that nonsense. :)
Thanks NW.
:)
Congrats on #1 COS.

And Trump will say “so what” and the GOP will attack the IRS - sigh
Is it ovah yet?
Anybody wanna explain this to me? Should I just block this chick or what?
Her TL is just basically the same stuff attached to any tweet. I’d more inclined to block her before I block the jerk who responded to my tweet with the tired “propped up Wall Street and TPP” meme.
Oh sorry. The above tweet was in response to my tweet here. Is there such a thing as TweetSpam? That’s what it feels like.
Looking at this person’s TL, she (?) repeats Bernie hashtags ad nauseam - and not much more.
Yep
well, at least it kept me entertained for my entire 6 hour journey, which is also almost ovah.
Do you internet while you drive??
me no drive. driver drive.
ahhh - I had forgotten - when my uncle worked in India for some years he no drive either. I assume by now you have safely arrived - wishing all good things for lovely daughter.

I’m going to miss my Senator.
In the midst of all this xenophobia, President Obama speaks up for America
Good Morning Meta,
Your tweet about Ahmed that said ” He is an American Boy ” is the ” Tweet of the Day ” over at Daily Kos.
Congratulations..!!!
Whoa, what? Hahaha, that’s funny. I stopped going to dkos in 2008. LOLz.
One thing that does make me happy is that tweet got RT’d and faved a lot and I’m really glad it struck a chord.
Thanks, Linda.
This right here drives me cray cray. I don’t understand why Progressives are surprised by this????
The truly hilarious part is the loyal audience MJ has on this side of the aisle. Then they get upset when Scarborough acts like a Republican.
Morning everyone:) Thanks again, President Obama!
