    http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/15/politics/darryl-glenn-voting-for-trump/index.html

One week after calling on Donald Trump to step aside as the Republican nominee, the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate in Colorado now says he will vote for him on Election Day, according to audio obtained by CNN’s KFile.

Darryl Glenn, who is challenging incumbent Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet, issued a statement when news broke of Trump’s lewd comments on a 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape, calling on Trump to voluntarily step aside and saying the GOP nominee was “simply disqualified from being Commander-in-Chief.”
A week later, however, Glenn now says he’ll vote for Trump but still doesn’t endorse him.
In audio obtained by CNN’s KFile from a source who attended the closed-door Colorado Concern forum on Friday, Glenn tells attendees he will be voting for the Republican platform and the GOP nominee.
“So where I’m at right now is that I absolutely will be supporting the Republican platform and voting for Mr. Trump,” Glenn said. “I will not be personally endorsing Mr. Trump and there is a clear distinction. When I personally endorse you that means I know your heart, I know your character and I can personally attest to that and I can not. If that changes we can revisit that, when it comes to evaluating the policies of what we’re going to be able to do with regard to weighing the Republican policy platform versus the Democrats, it is not even a choice. I will be voting for the Republican ticket and Republican candidates.”

Hope that Michael Bennett cleans his clock….

Are we stupid? What the hell does it mean to vote for someone but not endorse him/her? Doesn’t make a lick of sense except to spineless Republican politicians who are trying to play on both sides of the street. Their Trump supports needs to sink them.

Why Attacking Hillary Clinton for her Goldman Sachs Speaking Fees Is Hypocritical

    http://fortune.com/2016/01/23/hillary-clinton-speaking-fees-goldman-sachs/

But if it’s wrong for a Democratic presidential candidate to take money from deep-pocketed American businesses, why is it okay for a Republican Super PAC to be funded by such organizations? The only way to completely eliminate the influence of corporations in politics is through the kind of campaign finance reform that many Republicans and Democrats alike are loath to bring about. And it’s no wonder. Thanks to U.S. Supreme Court decisions like McCutcheon v. FEC and Citizens United v. FEC, it’s in elected officials’ interests to keep the money coming in.

Politicians can’t have it both ways. Either big money is off-limits, or it’s not. Right now, it’s not, so it’s hypocritical for people like Rove to say “stop” to Hillary Clinton’s speaking fees and “go” to money from the same source for his political action committee.
    .
    .
The fracas about Clinton as a million-dollar speaker is merely name-calling, ad hominem attacks, and political maneuvering masquerading as legitimate criticism.

~Comprehensive welfare states are very, very good. They do not solve racism. Whites in both Europe and America have made it very clear that they will not accept becoming a demographic minority without a fight, and will continue to vote for candidates that speak to that concern and promise immigration policies that put off white minority status for as long as possible.~

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2016/10/14/google_news_is_adding_a_fact_check_tag_good_timing.html

In a U.S. election cycle that has stoked unprecedented demand for fact-checking, Google is taking a step to highlight news stories that perform that sober task. The company announced Friday that it has added a new “Fact check” tag to Google News, which it will apply to stories from select outlets that follow a specific protocol to label them as such. The tag will join an array of others that Google already uses to highlight certain types of articles, including “in-depth,” “highly cited,” and “local source.”

To be clear, Google itself will not be fact-checking anything, except perhaps the qualifications of publications that would like to make their stories eligible for the tag. To do so, they’ll have to demonstrate that they’re nonpartisan and that their reporting follows fact-checking conventions, such as clearly identifying the claims that they’re checking and checking multiple claims in the same article. Eligible stories will also need to be tagged using a markup called ClaimReview. As of now, fewer than 10 websites are using that markup, according to schema.org.

They built this so it is right and proper that they are on the frontlines of the horror show. Let them rue what they have done in the large role that the broadcast media player in the carnival barber’s ascension.

The media allowed themselves to be debased and demeaned — confined to pinned areas, adhering to rules they would normally ignore or protest — in order to have access to him. Some media persons have been threatened at rallies; some assaulted, but they chose to continue chasing after him and abiding by his rules. They watched him and his supporters go off the deep end but continued to give him free air time. Hard to be very sympathetic when the media has basically given permission to be treated this way.

Can’t wait for the election to be over. (Sign of losing my grip on reality: I’m actually watching MTP today. Of course, mostly to see Joe Biden, who was magnificent! But I continued listening and, but for having to mute RWNJ Hugh Hewitt the Human Howdy Doody, I’m still at it.)

    Good Sunday morning, TODville!
