Katie Van Syckle: Larry David Says Obama’s Golf Game Is Very Presidential
One of his favorite golf partners over the years has been President Obama. The pair have been spotted on Martha’s Vineyard, where David has a house and where the Obama family takes their annual August vacation. According to David, Obama’s golfing style is just what you’d expect: very chill. “He doesn’t cheat at all, he loves golf, he’s a cool customer on the golf course,” David told Vulture last night at the premiere of season nine of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. “You can learn a lot about a person when you play golf with them.”

“Like when you play golf with me, you can see what a baby I am,” David continued. “How unfit I would be to be president. But when you play with him, you say, ‘Oh yeah, that guy, I’m glad he’s president.’ He hits a terrible shot, and he just goes, ‘Oh, hey, too bad.’ And then moves on. He’s very good at handling adversity which is what you need in that office. I’m not. I freak out.”

The campaign, titled “Don’t Shoot Us,” offers new insights into how Russian agents created a broad online ecosystem where divisive political messages were reinforced across multiple platforms, amplifying a campaign that appears to have been run from one source — the shadowy, Kremlin-linked troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency.
But somehow all of these supposedly sophisticated tactics didn’t work on black women who overwhelmingly voted for Hillary at over 95%. I just don’t understand it, someone please help me to understand it.
Those who used such tactics knew how to key into the deep-seated racism, classism and misogyny that are the bedrock of our society no matter how much so-called liberals deny it public discourse, but act differently. Black women, especially those beyond their 20’s, know bullshit when they see it, will call it out loudly (think Rep. Maxine Waters) and know how to make up their own minds.
I see white women are still tying their self-worth into white male patriarchy; WTF was Bernie Sanders selected to be the opening speaker at the Women’s March summit or whatever they are calling it.
