personally I think folks would have been better served to ignore the woman. Now folks are going to “rally” to her cause because they think she is being persecuted and then she will get a financial boost. Just my 2 cents.

Really funny. This lady will think twice before she expresses any bigotry or bias in the future.

      April 1, 2025 at 7:42 pm

      Childish response and totally inappropriate.

      • April 1, 2025 at 7:47 pm

Seriously Japa? Have to say I loved it, nothing better than seeing these bigots being ridiculed.

        • 14 japa21
          April 1, 2025 at 7:55 pm

This type of ridicule only creates support for her from others that may be borderline against her view. Sorry just strikes me as something a teenager would come up with.

          • April 1, 2025 at 8:00 pm

I just can’t imagine anyone who believes in equality having sympathy for her under any circumstances, to be honest. Ridicule is a powerful weapon, methinks she deserves it.

            • 16 japa21
              April 1, 2025 at 8:07 pm

Ridicule works best when the result is still focusing on the subject of the ridicule. When the ridicule itself becomes the primary focus, it loses its power.

              • April 1, 2025 at 8:18 pm

But her bigotry *is* the primary focus of the ridicule, that’s what it’s about. Yes, it’s crude, but I’m okay with that, especially because it’s the likes of her who obsesses over gay couples’ sex lives.

I call BS. It’s a hilarious response for bigots. You want to discriminate? Okay, then. You deserve everything coming to you.

          April 1, 2025 at 7:57 pm

Would they deserve having their restaurant burned down? I really doubt you would say yes to that. The question is where do you draw the line. I know you don’t really mean everything.

            April 1, 2025 at 8:02 pm

I did not say or imply that the business should be burned down. You’re putting words in my mouth. I said it was a hilarious response. Burning a business to the ground is not funny. Putting a dick pizza on the website to mock bigots is funny.

            Bravo to them.

I did not put words in your mouth. My point is where do you draw the line. To me this was over the line, to you it wasn’t. That’s all.

I’m not going to feel sorry for people who pride themselves on discriminating agains others. I’m not going to feel sorry for people who use their privilege to make life hell for others. You do all those things, you deserve being mocked.

Bob Menendez should have heeded Omar, “When you come at the King, you best not miss.”

The senator from AIPAC has opposed Our President as vigorously as any teabagger. I am enjoying his fall. And yes, ok. I’m a bad person.

Blimey Meta - I read that - what really grates - Melgan doesn’t even live in Menendez’s state - my understanding is that Senators represent their state - if you need their assistance you contact the senator from your own state (well that’s how it works in my part of the world)

        April 1, 2025 at 10:21 pm

That was exactly my reaction, 99ts. WHY is he using his office to do so much for this guy in Florida? He’s donating huge chunks of change to Melendez’s campaign but something else is going on, for sure.

Having staff spend their time working for someone from out of state! From what I’ve read at TOD if you call an out of state senator their office doesn’t want to know you. Some folks are more equal than others in this regard.

Sen. Menendez facing federal charges of bribery, conspiracy and fraud

Oooops! I think I overhead Menendez say “I can SEE CLEARLY now that I might have overplayed my hand, Mr. President”

    WASHINGTON
A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, charging the senior Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with trading political help for assorted benefits from an ambitious Florida eye doctor.

The opthalmologist, Dr. Salomon Melgen, bestowed campaign contributions, plane rides and gifts upon the 61-year-old Menendez over the course of their long relationship. Menendez, prosecutors say, reciprocated by using his office to try to help Melgen’s various business ventures.

Inside on the Total Lunar Eclipse occurring on Passover, it is all just so powerful and cool: 4 April, 2015 - 14.24 Libra. This eclipse is visible at moonrise from Asia, western Australia, Oceania and the Indian Ocean. It is visible at moonset in North and South America, Antarctica, and the
Pacific Ocean. The opposition and total eclipse takes place at 8:05 am EDT, 5:05 am PDT. (Middle of eclipse 12:00.2 GMT) If the skies are clear, I will get up early in hopes of seeing this one, fingers crossed.

I love the juxtaposition…. We’ve all seen many photos of President Obama with the the Lincoln portrait INSIDE the oval office, but I’ve never seen one with the aspect of outside the in the rose garden!

He seems to be listening, with that intent focus he has, all the while his brain/mind is gathering, sorting and weighing all he has going on, and no doubt he is coming up with brilliant new ideas!! <3

I would just love to hear him in more loose conversation on great subjects ( a la the one he had with David Simon) where we can watch how his minds works. It’s really a thing of beauty.

That says it all - the notion of white supremacy can’t allow the idea that a black President is amongst the best of them all.

      • April 1, 2025 at 8:21 pm

I hated the Rocky movies Sandy, not sure I ever watched a complete one, but I thought what Ali said was so interesting, they had to counteract his real life boxing superiority by coming up with an all-conquering white screen legend.

        • 62 Sandy1110
          April 1, 2025 at 8:33 pm

I think he’s on the money, Chips. Think about Megan Kelly on Fox - I think she was the one who went into a snit about Jesus and Santa Claus being white.

I remember Bobby Kennedy putting out the question “What if Jesus is black?” Some people don’t want to go there. As Muhammad Ali said, this nation is conditioned to believe that white is the best at everything.

It also ties in with what LBJ said 50 years ago - to paraphrase, if you give the lowest white man something to look down on, he’ll empty his pockets for you. That was how southern politicians won whites - making them think that any and all of them were better than the BEST black man. That’s why we have the Sarah Palins and Tom Cottons - clearly not sharp tools - coming at this Harvard Law Review, with-honors President with unprecedented disrespect and arrogance.

          • April 1, 2025 at 8:53 pm

Ah Sandy, that is so, so interesting, they’re just perfect comparisons to what Ali said. And when you think how these people have obsessed over PBO’s college records, they simply cannot cope with him being such a highly educated man, they must find a way of casting doubt on his academic achievements. I even saw tweets about it the other day. Six years after he was first elected. The derangement truly is deep, and all you can think is how little has changed.

Evening peeps, interesting thing at work today.

Today, my white boss called my newest coworker by my name! So she took a pic of us together and we shared it on facebook

We LOL so much all day.

Hmmm, to check off: both Black, both wear our natural hair, and today she wore silver earrings (I always wear silver earrings)…yep I guess that makes us twinses…lol.

FYI he’s a good guy though so we both just LMBAO! But the number of times this has happened to me in EVERY job I’ve ever had (especially if there’s only 2 of “us”) makes this old hat for both of us.

she was cool posting pic on twitter so here it is…
