Unlike Bibi the Iranians are willing to work for change. How long have the Israelis and Palestinians waited? How many presidents have tried to broker peace? Kudos to PBO, John Kerry for their effort.

Israel does not want peace….never had in my opinion. They want to go on killing Palestinians just like America wants to go on killing AA’s, women, gays, any group they can manipulate the country to hate.

Al Shabbab and Daesh are both such vile entities, cannot believe how one human could even contemplate what they’ve done, let alone actually execute such atrocities.

And PBO gave a truly magnificent and thoroughly reasoned explanation of it for Americans and Iranians and the world. I am so proud of him and his team. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO

It’s on days like this that the true tragedy of the November elections hits home. This Republican led Congress will act out of ignorance, spite and partisan politics to put the security of our country at risk for the sake of their own twisted ideology. Their first question will be, “How can we undermine the President?, not What’s best for the US?” That’s why I encourage all of us to get organized and begin a systematic and relentless campaign to let our so-called representatives and senators know that we support an Iran agreement. The word has to go out to keep calling, writing, e-mailing, faxing on this issue every day, if not several times a day. If we get mealy-mouthed answers from members of Congress, we have to tell them that’s not acceptable and we have to be the mouthpiece for our President every day. The President and SOS Kerry have done everything they could and they’ll continue to provide Congress with facts. But they need us to do the pushing.

      GA Forus,

I wonder if you could find that video you posted around the time that Rouhani and PBO spoke for the first time — such compelling footage of the people and places in Iran, both Tehran and other parts of that ancient society. Know that Jeff would appreciate it too.

The coverage of these negotiations by MSM has been shameful — definitively spouting speculation as if it were fact.

We made the right choice in 2008 as we all knew. If you don’t agree to meet with those you disagree with, you are a lousy leader. As Shakespeare so wisely observed, “nothing can come of nothing.”

    • 87 forus50
      April 2, 2025 at 4:07 pm

In her defense (which I don’t make a habit of lol) she was distinguishing between the president meeting/speaking with the leaders of those countries versus US diplomats engaging in diplomacy. Yes, on diplomats, no on her personally speaking to them. I think POTUS answered that question in a more general term of the “US” speaking to those countries, not specific to him speaking to those leaders.

        April 2, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Listening to her reply - she is simply having an each way bet - what PBO has always shown is the courage to have convictions - to go forward with what he thinks is right - he doesn’t wait to see “which way the wind is blowing” - which seems to be the intent of Hillary’s reply.

In such a short time, PBO has appeared on live TV in Cuba and Iran — the first time either country has ever aired a speech by the President of the United States, the Commander-in-Chief of the USA military.

Yet the MSM continue to play the role of bloodthirsty, warmongering Debbie Downer.

    • 106 arapaho415
      April 2, 2025 at 4:31 pm

      Note.

My comment about the “first time POTUS on live TV” in Cuba/Iran is a presumption on my part. It’s possible that a POTUS speech was aired during the last Shah’s tenure, but he’s been out of office for almost 40 years, so it’s still a BFD ignored by our shameful MSM.
