I am LOVING #TheWiz. Great acting, singing, set design, wardrobe, cinematography, etc.

Kudos to NBC for investing in talented people in front of and behind the scenes.

Loving this production. Going to breakdown and but the DVD so that I can view it commercial free. I saw the original, with Stephanie Mills, several times on Broadway — LOVED IT! Didn’t care for the movie, just wasn’t feeling Diana Ross as Dorothy; however, Michael Jackson and Lena Horne were OUTSTANDING!

    Good Evening TODVille.

Thanks for posting the event of our lovely First Family! I missed all the day’s events.

Speaking of events, is it true that the Senate passed a bill to repeal Obamacare?

    • 67 jackiegrumbacher
      December 3, 2025 at 10:02 pm

Yep, NCLB, the Republican leadership had nothing better to do before the holidays, so they once again tried to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood, knowing it would be vetoed. Isn’t it comforting to know that we are paying these buffoons to use their time so effectively?

      • 68 No Child Left Behind
        December 3, 2025 at 10:15 pm

In Order To Pass Some Democrats had to vote yes, correct?

        Who are these fools?

        • 69 amk for obama
          December 3, 2025 at 10:19 pm

The thugs passed the voted 52-47 using some archaic senate ‘rules’. I don’t think any dems voted for it.

          December 3, 2025 at 10:45 pm

The measure was passed under so-called budget resolution rules, meaning a simple majority is enough. It has only symbolic meaning, however, as it will be vetoed. Even some GOP senators said their constituents should not be worried because it will be vetoed. What a bunch of ridiculous hypocrisy.

          • 73 No Child Left Behind
            December 3, 2025 at 10:51 pm

However the article posted by AMK gives a bleak picture of what may happen should either one of the GOP clowns win the presidency.

          • 74 nathkatun7
            December 4, 2025 at 2:53 am

You mean these clowns passed a bill that they knew had Zero chance of becoming law? What a cynical and hypocritical bunch! Obviously, they must have such low regard for the intelligence of their rapid supporters. The only way the ACA act (a.k.a, Obama Care) canever be repealed is when the Republicans control both the Congress and the presidency. There is absolutely no way the ACA will be repealed during the Obama presidency.

If this article is true, it’s pure evil. Gun industry execs say that shootings are good for business. When there are mass murders, the NRA gins up fear that the government will take away people’s guns, which leads to increased sales. This is a business model that must have been devised in hell. The more people die, the richer the industry gets.

    Good Morning Everyone.

I had a late night and am just now catching up on #TheWiz. What a phenomenal live performance. If you missed it, when NBC does the replay make a date to tune in. It was so very good.

While we wait for the Early Bird/Rise and Shine here are some of the fabulous scenes.

Wow! Catching up the next day here. I had no idea she could sing!

Thanks for these clips, Donna. I didn’t watch it because the previous live offerings of this type from NBC didn’t interest me and I figured this would be the same. This one actually seems entertaining! I’m going to DVR the rebroadcast of this, for sure!
