He will probably address the death but he will do so on his own terms and not allow the media to frame his arguments with their usual talking points.
I did say “tries” :) - In over 7 years the media has “tried and failed” to set an agenda for the President. Someone should explain to them about doing the same thing over & over while expecting different results.

His reaction to those reporters reminds me quite a bit of the subtle sarcasm i display when explaining a very easy task again to the kid who asks a dumb question because he didn´t read the assignment…

Loved the way that PBO trolled the press during news conference, but they’re too dense to understand he was suggesting that they start covering Campaign 2016 as a serious matter, not as reality TV.

Taking a brake in my workday and just listened to the President (Thank you Chips!).
First, let me just vent about that last questioner who asked if PBO blamed himself for the obstruction. I know I’m preaching to the choir here at TOD, and I know we’ve heard that cr*p before but, I just had to scream out loud at my computer, “What?! He should blame himself for others’ racism?” I’m just so done with this sh!t.
Finally, I have decided that I need to listen to PBO speak once each day for the foreseeable future. I have been feeling increasingly anxious about the Primaries and the General Election. I noticed that just now, as I listened to PBO speak, my heart slowed down, my blood pressure and anxiety decreased and a calm sense of trust came over me. This is not the first time this has happened. In fact, I always feel reassured when I hear the President speak. The next time anxiety creeps up on me, I’m going to do an immediate YouTube search for one of PBO’s speeches or interviews.

YES!!!!!! Oh my goodness, you are so right, MadameSoph. This is true for me, too. Such a relief, a boost, a comfort, and inspiration, no matter the setting, the topic, the mood I had going in. He brings such depth, strength, honesty, goodness, and not-about-to-take-anybody’s-baloney smartness. And unless it’s one of those MANY tragic occasions, that smile is always going to come back out, even though they do try to land arrows and make him wrong. PBO is the cure for what ails me. I noticed that too Donna! I also noticed the way he framed the job requirements (Having to sometimes make tough, unpopular choices, etc.), seemed to be not only referring to the GOP contenders.

If I remember correctly, Alito’s confirmation was a tough one, in the end they confirmed him, but he had to answer a lot of questions. If PBO put a hold on him it was for a damned good reason.

I had no interest in any of those emails. Ha! Now I’m thinking I might want to read them (well, maybe not ALL of them :-) ). I’m meeting with a friend tomorrow for dinner and am preparing myself to tell her that I’m supporting HRC now. Before VP Biden announced and while MO’M was still a possibility, we were both like, “I still haven’t forgotten 2008, lady” (we used a less friendly term than “lady”). We both wanted anyone but HRC, although I was a little more open to it than she was, knowing the stakes. She doesn’t follow politics like I do, and I know she respects my opinion. I will share this with her. She is a Scorpio, like HRC and also an executive and a mom. I think the article would speak to her.

As usual the WHPC didn’t bother asking the President any questions about the ASEAN Summit.
