New e-mails paint Snyder into corner on Flint crisis
Rachel Maddow reports on a new release of e-mails from the office of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder that show his inner circle knew about the problems in Flint before the governor claims he knew and well before he took action to help.
I was watching Marc Edwards the Virginia corrosion expert on plumbing corrosion on C-Span this morning. He explained how it was the Detroit Water and Sewage Department and EPAâs responsibility to test the water and pipes prior to change to new water sources then alert the Governor and Emergency Manager regarding the lead situation. I believe the DWSD lied to the EPA and that the Governor and the Emergency Manager probably did not allow the DWSD to test before switching because they didnât care about the poor people in Flint and it was ALL about saving money. This Marc Edwards guy does not want to pin this at all on the Governor nor any official when they are the ones who were going to do this no matter what. Marc Edwards said the Washington D.C. lead poisoning during GWB and GOP lead House and Senate was much worst. It occurred from 2001 through 2004 when these bastards were sending us to war. It was not in the news at all like Flint. He said there were far more people and children affected in D.C. then in Flint. The House and Senate needs to be put in jail if the Michigan governor needs to go to jail.
What happened to the GOP?
A good question. What happened to the Republicans? If I was a Republican I would be asking myself is this the best we can do?
They are still the self righteous party. I donât say that lightly. Everyone I know thatâs GOP has decided they are the good guys, the hard workers, the contributors, the success stories. They are the faithful, the values people, the patriots. Everyone else is worthless, wrong and/or dishonest. Everything they decide to do or support is good no matter how bad it really is. Self righteous, completely lacking in self awareness and humility and definitely interested in holding on to power over others. I am more disgusted by the day as Trump, even Trump isnât worth their taking responsilbility for.
I put ALL the blame on Newt Gingrich, Rush Limpballs, Roald Reagan, the cowardly media and Democrats who did not fight back against the poisoning of our political process. Also the SCOTUS that opened the flood gates to allow money to corrupt our politicians.
I also blame the American lazy ass people who DONâT VOTE!
