In the Entrepreneurship event, the Cubans took the opportunity to share their stories or personal circumstances with POTUS and not ask questions. Maybe they were afraid of the Invisible Eye watching their moves. I don’t get it.
I was wondering that myself. The event was for them to ask questions and not one of them did.
I respect the entrepreneurs who went up and told President Obama about their businesses and answered his queries and accepted his suggestions. They know their country restrictions. Bravo to them for stepping up and speaking with PBO.
I am also thinking that, perhaps, a question-answer forum is not something they are used to. This may be brand new. Besides, they may be intimidated by POTUS.
May be they were being polite to their guest?

I’m sorry if this has been posted. I haven’t been able to catch up yet. Well, I had heard that Sanders said that he would have nominated a more liberal judge - big surprise - but I was shocked to hear that if elected, he would ask President Obama to withdraw his nominee’s name so that Sanders could name someone. And I was DOUBLE shocked that he said he would nominate someone only if they said they promised to vote to overturn Citizen’s United and would make it the first order of business! There is so much wrong with that I can’t even. I say again, for a person who has been in government for 50 years, he is really IGNORANT about how our government works. He said the nominee would have to pass his litmus test - LITMUS TEST! He really said ‘litmus test’ on Citizens’ United. That he would criticize the head of ‘his’ party’s nominee, that he would ask him to withdraw his nominee’s name, AND that he said out loud he would make putative judges pass a litmus test is beyond belief. So apparently as well as all the ignorance of how the Supreme Court works, in addition to the profound disrespect to the black guy who is the president, he must ALSO believe that the Republicans will be happy to nominate a MORE LIBERAL JUDGE who will overturn their pet project. Ignorance doesn’t even cover it, Profound, blind, stupidity doesn’t cover it. I wonder what Rachel Maddow thinks of him now. So if this has been posted I apologize, but thank you for giving me the opportunity to vent.

What is surprising to me is that Bernie, who has been in Congress for more than twenty years has such a lack of knowledge about what can and cannot be done. I understand Donald’s lack of knowledge not having been a legislator, but Bernie’s lack of knowledge brings him down to the same dangerous level as the Donald. Both, yes and Cruz too have such egos they think they can do whatever they want. Rachel and Frank Rich said be careful what you wish for about Dems thinking having Trump as our opponent would be a good thing.
That’s what stuns me too, Obama Grandmama. How can he sit in Congress all these years and still not know as much as an eighth grade civics student?
