I have two coworkers that want to friend me on Facebook. Totally messed up my weekend in that Iām trying to figure out a way to tell them that Iām not interested in anything and everything that they have to say. I thought I had my Facebook settings on the strictest settings that allow someone to see you, but no, these two numbnuts somehow found me anyway. Our political views are totally different, I know this because Iāve talked to both of these numbnuts extensively. I see both of these guys every day, and one of them I work with side by side. Every goddamn syllable that comes out of their mouths is pure unadulterated goddamn nonsense. Every goddamn time I hear their voices it feels like someone scraping a chalkboard with a piece of metal. Why do I always attract the crazies? Isnāt there some sort of Facebook etiquette that covers this sort of thing?

Definitely ignore the request. If they ask why you have not friend them, say to their faces that your policy is to only FB with close friends and family because you donāt want your son and other young people in the family exposed to political stuff. Then walk away.

Thanks Nena for sharing this. Itās absolutely amazing to witness the Obama babies growing into young poised lades before our eyes. But then again, Iāve witnessed my grand niece, who is three months older than Maria Obama, grow into a such loving and thoughtful young lady who cares so much about other people.

The ones who show up in spittle-flecked rage at his Nuremberg rallies would quite happily see us off to concentration camps. They no longer believe in democracy. They havenāt believed in it in quite a while. Democracy has allowed those they consider inferior and threats to their existence to flourish and attain a modicum of power. They have been yearning for someone to come along and smother this two century long experiment in self-government. This is not hyperbole; this is the evidence of anyone with eyes to see.

That was my conclusion at the time. I think he was targeted because he was outspoken on the Trump collusion and on the Mueller investigation and because he was one of the few Democratic members of Congress that the media would talk to. I was very saddened by the rush to judgment by Democratic women senators (was Amy Klobuchar, also from Minnesota, the only man Democrat who did not join the fray?). I understood the pressure they were under by the burgeoning MeToo movement but they should have thought before they acted.

They later said that report was not accurate, probably because the scope of this VA trial is limited to tax and bank fraud. I think heāll probably testify today.

The month of August is a very important month in Black History, many significant things happened this month.
I was watching Jeopardy a couple days ago, which I havenāt done in some time. But, lo and behold, there was a whole category on the NMAAHC museum, with Alex Trebek in person at the museum providing the clues. At the end of the category, he said he wanted to take a personal moment and highly recommended the museum to anyone who may be living or visiting DC. Interesting.
