Hi Donna, you’re an advertising Art Director? Wow, great job! I never saw these videos until today, Lynn Sweet mentioned them in her blog. Really interesting, the thought that went in to the logo design was fascinating.

This is great. I love it when you can see the creative process at work. Most think that it just happens. It’s easy you know you just create it. What bothers me is people don’t want to pay for what you do because you just do it. My hats off to all those creative souls.

Creativity is a life force…everyone has the potential, although not everyone harnesses it. I think of it as a seed bestowed upon us by our creator. It’s up to us to discover, grow and nurture it.

This is such an opportunity to expand our thinking about the energy and the resonance of the symbol. And the power and influence of art and design in our lives. I am so grateful you shared this with us.

Thank you for this Chips. I’ve always been interested in design and typography and think the Obama logo is probably one of the most iconic political images right out of the box. It was really interesting to hear more about its design and grassroots appeal.

  • If you're going to run any campaign at all about LGBT issues, please don't make the same mistake a lot of them do. Demi, Bi, Ace, and Pansexuals get erased from almost every single one, and it is very disheartening to see that your sexuality is not only erased, but discredited as if it never existed. I struggled to discover my identity for two years because I thought on transexuals, gays, and lesbians were around. Run a campaign that displays those, and you will help more people than you know.
  • No questions, lol. I just wanted to say thank you. I know it hasn't been easy to be so forthrightly supportive of the LGBT community. It's been politically risky. But you've transformed my life and the lives of so many other Gay people. Given us a complete future in our own country. And I'll never forget that. Thanks. *huuuugs*
