People have NO CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. My pet peeve. I don’t have to have everyone I meet agree with me, but I DO need for them to be able to take all the info available to them , weigh pros and cons and think things through in a logical way. That doesn’t seem to be in abundance.Instead, they ignore the parts that are inconvenient truths to further their grand delusions.
My pleasure guys. We have to keep each other on top of the facts so that we can be effective in putting the TRUTH out there when the opportunities arise. IMO SP always does a good job with analysis and with resourcing her arguments, and she sometimes touches on areas others haven’t yet, or with a slightly different, or more clarified viewpoint.
I happen to believe that in 2012 serious Pres O supporters are going to join hands across the blogosphere in a meaningful way to shut out the naysayers with truth - just the FACTS. My dream is that very few [if any] of us will be as derailed by red herring commentators as we were this year; that we will brush them off quickly a la Pres O, and counter with the facts in a mature, calm, ‘professional’ way. Show the pundits or faux journalists how to do their jobs in fact.

Thank you isonprize for that video. I love Sweet Honey On The Rock. It definitely was not a downer. I needed to reflect ans that just brought so s joy and pain(that is what we must endure). It is why we must not let this moment pass us by to re-elect President Obama. A lot of lives were sacrificed to be able to vote in these United States. In hindsight, I was a teenager in southern Ga. When SNCC marched in the brutal sun. As young as I was, I knew it was the right thing to do. I a having a difficult time understanding why these young people are endorsing Ron Paul.
My racism meter is high when it comes to this looney tune. If they would take the time to listen to really listen and not go with his tickling their ears it what they WANT to hear, I.e. less government, legalize pot., when the smoke has cleared what surfaces is an “old racist”. The worse kind because they refuse to change and their hearts are fixed on hate.

Goodbye to the noise that was 2011. Hello 2012, the year that hosts the second term of the greatest President, the greatest First Lady, the greatest Veep, the greatest First Daughters, greatest First Pup and the greatest First Supporters in my lifetime.
I loved this! Can’t believe we’re going into Year Four - a lot of these videos and comments seem just like they happened yesterday. I can’t wait to see what next year brings.
Romney leads, Santorum closing in Iowa

As we discussed a few months ago, some polls matter more than others. In Iowa, the Des Moines Register’s Iowa Poll is widely considered the gold standard for Hawkeye State polling, and therefore gets considerably more attention than other surveys in the state.
And with that in mind, and the caucuses just a few days, here’s what the race for the Republican presidential nomination looks like in Iowa:
1. Mitt Romney: 24% (up seven points since early December)
2. Ron Paul: 22% (up four points)
3. Rick Santorum: 15% (up nine points)
4. Newt Gingrich: 12% (down 13 points)
5. Rick Perry: 11% (up five points)
6. Michele Bachmann: 7% (down one point)

Ex-Democrat Rep, Voter ID Convert Artur Davis Says He Might Run As Republican

After coming out in support of voter ID laws and donating to Republicans, former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis is continuing his march to the other side of the aisle, telling the Washington Post he could run for office as an independent or even a GOP candidate.
“I’ve heard some people at the national level encouraging me to run as an independent for my old office,” Davis told WaPo’s Aaron Blake. “While there have been Democrats who have switched down there, the Republican Party has refused to accept them. Do I agree with the agenda items in the Alabama Republican Party? Some I agree with, and some I don’t.”
Davis has claimed voter fraud is a major problem and said he’s seen it take place, though he’s repeatedly declined opportunities to back up his broad claims with specific allegations. Conservatives have used his change of heart to justify strict restrictions that most voting rights advocates agree could keep mostly Democratic-leaning voters from casting a ballot.
“If you think I made it up, you’re entitled to do that, and if you think there’s no credibility and I just made it up because I had nothing to do some day, that’s your prerogative,” Davis previously told TPM.

People have NO CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. My pet peeve. I don’t have to have everyone I meet agree with me, but I DO need for them to be able to take all the info available to them , weigh pros and cons and think things through in a logical way. That doesn’t seem to be in abundance.Instead, they ignore the parts that are inconvenient truths to further their grand delusions.

We have to keep each other on top of the facts so that we can be effective in putting the TRUTH out there when the opportunities arise. IMO SP always does a good job with analysis and with resourcing her arguments, and she sometimes touches on areas others haven’t yet, or with a slightly different, or more clarified viewpoint.
I happen to believe that in 2012 serious Pres O supporters are going to join hands across the blogosphere in a meaningful way to shut out the naysayers with truth - just the FACTS. My dream is that very few [if any] of us will be as derailed by red herring commentators as we were this year; that we will brush them off quickly a la Pres O, and counter with the facts in a mature, calm, ‘professional’ way. Show the pundits or faux journalists how to do their jobs in fact.
So bring on 2012! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012

If the final 2 days of polling were the only consideraton, Santorum moved into 2nd place with 21 with Paul dropping to 3rd place—-Romney remained at 24.

Thank you isonprize for that video. I love Sweet Honey On The Rock. It definitely was not a downer. I needed to reflect ans that just brought so s joy and pain(that is what we must endure). It is why we must not let this moment pass us by to re-elect President Obama. A lot of lives were sacrificed to be able to vote in these United States. In hindsight, I was a teenager in southern Ga. When SNCC marched in the brutal sun. As young as I was, I knew it was the right thing to do. I a having a difficult time understanding why these young people are endorsing Ron Paul.
My racism meter is high when it comes to this looney tune. If they would take the time to listen to really listen and not go with his tickling their ears it what they WANT to hear, I.e. less government, legalize pot., when the smoke has cleared what surfaces is an “old racist”. The worse kind because they refuse to change and their hearts are fixed on hate.

I am soooooo thankful to my government that helps the elderly live in a clean safe apartment and I gladly pay my taxes so that the youngsters get an education, get good jobs, who will pay taxes to take care of their elderly population (one day it will be me being taken care of).

Romney leads, Santorum closing in Iowa

As we discussed a few months ago, some polls matter more than others. In Iowa, the Des Moines Register’s Iowa Poll is widely considered the gold standard for Hawkeye State polling, and therefore gets considerably more attention than other surveys in the state.
And with that in mind, and the caucuses just a few days, here’s what the race for the Republican presidential nomination looks like in Iowa:
1. Mitt Romney: 24% (up seven points since early December)
2. Ron Paul: 22% (up four points)
3. Rick Santorum: 15% (up nine points)
4. Newt Gingrich: 12% (down 13 points)
5. Rick Perry: 11% (up five points)
6. Michele Bachmann: 7% (down one point)

After coming out in support of voter ID laws and donating to Republicans, former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis is continuing his march to the other side of the aisle, telling the Washington Post he could run for office as an independent or even a GOP candidate.
“I’ve heard some people at the national level encouraging me to run as an independent for my old office,” Davis told WaPo’s Aaron Blake. “While there have been Democrats who have switched down there, the Republican Party has refused to accept them. Do I agree with the agenda items in the Alabama Republican Party? Some I agree with, and some I don’t.”
Davis has claimed voter fraud is a major problem and said he’s seen it take place, though he’s repeatedly declined opportunities to back up his broad claims with specific allegations. Conservatives have used his change of heart to justify strict restrictions that most voting rights advocates agree could keep mostly Democratic-leaning voters from casting a ballot.
