I won’t fault the MSM…this is how their bread is buttered. They have to keep up this charade of Huntsmanmentum and Romney is gonna beat the Prez schtick. They keep reporting this enthusiasm the Republicans are having, mainly as a result of PBO, but yet here is NH—-225K well below the 250K expected. It is likely the prez will come out with the 2nd highest vote count in the entire primary—but the MSM still tells us that the Prez has a problem. Yawn. While I don’t want anyone to be unemployed, I wouldn’t mind some of these peanut gallery lifetime members getting their walking papers.

I don’t know what her political leanings are, but I do get that she seems a bit obsessed with the Obamas in general. I suspect she might be a PUMA (breaking the Rev Wright story). Here is a an excerpt from her Wiki entry

// Kantor has also covered politics for the Times, including the 2008 presidential campaign and Barack Obama’s biography. Starting in 2007, she wrote some of the earliest articles about Michelle Obama, the role of the Obama daughters in their father’s career, the role of basketball in the president’s life, his relationship with Rev. Jeremiah Wright [5] and his career as a constitutional law professor. In autumn of 2009, she co-authored the story of Michelle Obama’s slave roots[6] and authored a cover story in the New York Times Magazine about the first marriage, for which she interviewed the president and first lady in the Oval Office.[7] In November 2009, Kantor landed a reported seven-figure book deal to write a book about the president and first lady.[8] //

NEWSFLASH TO THE MEDIA: PBO BEAT THE CLINTONS

This stuff is just catnip for the media. I don’t think they are scared of Willard,I just think they are “prepared” for Willard. President Obama and his campaign felt that Willard would be the Republican Party nominee all along. So they have been spending a lot of time learning about everything he did as governor and as CEO of Bain. President Obama is himself the CEO of a winning presidential campaign in 2008. Everyone conveniently forgets he outsmarted the Clintons.

The flip flopping liar Mitt Romeny has a serious character flaw. I really think he is a pathological liar. He just makes stuff up out of thin air. His dishonesty is just breathtaking. If he thinks he is going to lie is way to the presidency he’s got another think coming. Meanwhile, President Obama is focused on his day job. He has not even started the campaign mode yet except for a few fundraisers.

It was fascinating to hear Rush Limbaugh and other Republicans who have been very critical of Willard start to circle the wagons. Jim DeMint of all people had some positive things to say about Willards speech tonight.

It may sound strange, but I really enjoy the wealthy wasting their money on this group of GOP candidates. It’s wasted! And I suppose it is a stimulus for the economy — money going for staff, ads, printing, traveling and all the support of a campaign that will flow out into the community instead of being invested by the rich or buying another house in Belize.

      It just amuses me.

Sorry, didn’t hear that. I find this whole opposition election results as frightening. I am a big chicken and even though the GOP presidential crew seems ridiculous I hate the idea of all of this money in the race. It also seems a shame that we need money in our government and have to waste it to run for office instead of using it to solve problems. I also worry about people not being bright enough to discern what is best for themselves as well as to not trust they will even check facts out themselves.

We will have to work harder than ever even if it seems a foregone conclusion that it should be an evident choice. I will continue to donate and do whatever I can about informing others on PBO’s record. Got my little wallet size talking points about what has been accomplised so far from OFA today. It is a great idea as some of us get those senior moments.

My novacaine has not worn off from my 3:30pm dental appointment today. 4 hrs and counting. Maybe my courage will come back after the novacaine wears off. Glad to be able to come here to get a positive outlook.

Thank you, vitaminlover. I too believe God watches over the President. I call Unity prayer line when I have a problem and want support. One time I called about the President and the woman said a most beautiful, beautiful prayer that was almost like a song. She told me afterwards that they have millions of prayers going out about him and I felt joined with all of that good will going to him. It’s such a loving, loving prayer line — always positive and uplifting.

If you feel the need of support for anything — I’ve called about a missing cat, my health, fears, the President, world events — you can call Toll free. 1-800-669-7729.

And another thing I do is go to gratefulness.org and light a candle for President Obama. It’s not of any particular religion, just a moment to center, meditate a little and send out a prayer or wish for Well-Being.

Republicans always have a way of saying how disillusioned they are with the candidate but then rallying around that person come the general. It’s really a matter of wait and see imo. Okay, I’m being way out there…..but I wouldn’t be surprised if some “Independents” voted for Romney, not because they want him, but because they really want him to be the nominee PBO shoots down. When there is an open primary, strange things happen. I just don’t feel there’s a lot of love for Romney in NH. Massachusetts was SO glad to get rid of him in 2006. When we went to Boston in 2006, there were billboards telling Romney not to shut the door on his way out. He didn’t run because he knew there was NO way he would be re-elected. When you’re 47th in job creation in Massachusetts…..a state with Harvard, MIT, Tufts…….and all the high tech companies, and all the topnotch medical facilities, you are really BAD!!! And this was not during a recession.

Fed pays near-record billions to U.S. Treasury
    By Agence France-Presse| Tuesday, January 10, 2025

The Federal Reserve said Tuesday it had paid $76.9 billion to theUS Treasury from its estimated 2011 earnings, mainly income from interest collected on a range of securities. The amount was only three percent below the 2010 record payment of $79.3 billion, and reflected the extraordinary actions the Fed has taken to prop up the economy after the 2008 financial crisis.

Most of the 2011 earnings came from $83.6 billion in interest income on government-linked securities, such as US Treasury securities, the central bank said in a statement.

What I remember from the early days of the Obama Presidency were the constant “fashion faceoffs” between FLOTUS and whatever other person they could dredge up. I now think it is perhaps a Junior High level from what everyone has said.

One of the cast sent her two tickets and she chose to go with me. bounced around twitter for a minute to see who won the NH primary…no surprise there…I did find on funny thing though. I though you all would enjoy this. Maybe really scared of it but, no where else I could think of would appreciate this:

Hi everybody..I already started canvassing for Barack Obama and did a couple phone banks last week, but I still feel uneasy about this election. I need some energy from you guys to get this scared feeling out of my heart. I worry about the GOP, the cheat, and will do anything to beat our President. Help a sister out with some good vibes! :)

    Hello, SueBee:
If we say that we believe what POB stands for and we know that good always, always overcomes evil, we must believe and know that this is our time and they can and will do everything they can this time around. But we do not serve a God of fear. If we believe that Yes, We Can! Yes, We Will. yes, we must then what is there to fear?

Let me share this with you. I was born and raised in a quaint town called Athens, Ga. When I tell you being AA down south in those days were(if you want to talk about terrorist) let’s talk. But when you know in your heart and soul that you had love of family, community and a strong faith in God(I understand this in a political blog not religious) . Looking back, it was not religion that brought us through. No, it was much stronger than that. It was spiritual. Something that is much stronger. When you know that you know that you can smile and still love someone who hated you for no reason because if the color of your skin.

Everyday when I knew that there were people in my family who cared and loved me, that was all that mattered to me. I did not have the time or the energy to waste on why could oe would happen. I was so glad that we were not taught to hate. That would have been to easy. Instead we grew up with strong men and women who shared whatever they had with others even if you did not have much to share.

So please know that this is a paradigm shift that is occurring whether we want it to or not. There is nothing to fear. Nothing we can do, but stand tall. Be of good courage. POB is a spiritual man and we have already won. You just have to believe it. His speech yesterday said that he knows what change is. He has felt it(paraphrasing). But he does not seem to have fear and neither will we. We will stand. We will push on and forward. WE HAVE WORK TO DO! Fear is not an option……
Sweet sleep. We need you rested and strong for this battle that is already won. See it! believe it! March on! Leave a better world for those who are being born right now as we speak.

Vice President Biden took aim at GOP front-runner Mitt Romney on Tuesday night, saying the former Massachusetts governor and other GOP candidates “have a fundamentally different view of this country and what will make it great.”

Speaking to New Hampshire Democrats on a video teleconference from Washington, Biden said Romney’s comments on Monday — when he said “I like being able to fire people” — was “probably taken out of context.”

The entire exchange was insulting - most of Americans can’t fire their insurance companies or afford the alternative, much less a devastating illness. Feeding Republican memes is dangerous. Repubs haven’t given this president an ounce of respect. And seriously Joe, Romney took Obama out ofcontext to create lies, and you defend him?

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A few minutes after Mitt Romney mocked President Barack Obama as a European-style socialist who wants to turn Boston into Brussels, a Democrat sent me this circa 2001-2002 YouTube video of Mitt speaking French, which made the rounds a few months back.

“He certainly outpaces the average American tourist visiting Paris,” said a Francophone reporter sitting 10 feet from me in the filing center.

Toggling to his mother tongue, the scribe added: “Il ne parle pas Francais comme une vache espagnole.” Which means, roughly translated, “He doesn’t speak French like a Spanish cow” — middling praise.

That’s really irrelevant though…..He is a mean mean mean person. I swear now I have a physical reaction each time I hear him, repulsion.

His speech last night, he couldn’t help himself as usual….This President is a failure, this president is an appeaser, this President is a (fill the blank)…

BANNU, Pakistan — An American drone strike killed four Islamist militants in Pakistan, the first such attack since errant U.S airstrikes in November killed two dozen Pakistan troops and pushed strained ties between the two nations close to collapse, Pakistani intelligence officials said Wednesday.

The attack Tuesday took place in North Waziristan, an al-Qaeda and Taliban stronghold close to the Afghan border that has been pounded by U.S. strikes, the officials said. Three of the dead were Arab fighters, said the officials, who didn’t give their names because they were not allowed to be named in the media.

The late-night missile launch broke the longest pause between strikes since the drone program began in earnest in 2009.

American officials say there had been no promise by Washington to avoid drone operations since the deadly Nov. 26 airstrikes along the Afghan border, but that the lull was part efforts to tamp down tensions with Pakistan, seen by many U.S. officials as key to a negotiated peace in Afghanistan.

Look, right now he is in the primary, which means lobbing attacks against Barack Obama is all he needs to do to win the nomination. In the general election, you’re dealing with a larger electorate, well-informed, misinformed, under informed, and just plain stupid. But, you’re dealing with an electorate thats now deciding, who should lead our nation for four years? This will help out a lot-

In accordance with usual practice, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is announcing the preliminary estimate of the upcoming annual benchmark revision to the establishment survey employment series. The final benchmark revision will be issued on February 3, 2012, with the publication of the January 2012 Employment Situation news release.

Each year, the Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey employment estimates are benchmarked to comprehensive counts of employment for the month of March. These counts are derived from state unemployment insurance (UI) tax records that nearly all employers are required to file. For national CES employment series, the annual benchmark revisions over the last 10 years have averaged plus or minus three-tenths of one percent of total nonfarm employment. The preliminary estimate of the benchmark revision indicates an upward adjustment to March 2011 total nonfarm employment of 192,000 (0.1 percent).

Table 1 shows the March 2011 preliminary benchmark revisions by major industry sector. As is typically the case, many of the individual industry series show larger percentage revisions than the total nonfarm series, primarily because statistical sampling error is greater at more detailed levels than at a total level.

    Good Morning TOD

I just watched the few minutes of the interview with FLOTUS. She was gracious and forthcoming with how she feels. When she addressed the fact that people have been trying to portray her as the “angry black woman” ever since the President announced his candidacy it made me tear up a little.

It’s a shame that here we are 3 years into PBO’s Presidency and this wonderful, thoughtful, brilliant, compassionate woman who truly loves her husband and her family has to still be defending herself against that negative character depiction says something about this country that makes me sad.

All I can say is that if the President isn’t going to start campaigning for another month or so we are going to have to be more engaged than ever with the voters.

Please everyone commit to spending an hour each day doing something to ensure that PBO will be re-elected. You don’t have to leave your home to volunteer. Just go to http://www.barackobama.com and you can sign up to phone bank or start a fundraiser from home.

These pundits are counting on us to sit and watch their constant negativity about PBO while trying to push Romney as the golden candidate and our public is fickle enough to buy some of this stuff. Let’s make ever effort we can to have the President’s back and ensure 4 more 4/44.

A win on Nov 6, 2025 will be the best revenge for how our FLOTUS has been treated by this sleazy author and our salacious media.

          Some people talk about ya
Like they know all about ya
When you get down they doubt ya
And when you tippin on the scene
          Yeah they talkin’ bout it
Cause they can’t tip all on the scene with ya
          Talk about it
          T-t-t-talk bout it
          When you get elevated,
They love it or they hate it
You dance up on them haters
Keep getting funky on the scene
          While they jumpin’ round ya
They trying to take all your dreams
          But you can’t allow it

Cause baby whether you’re high or low
          Whether you’re high or low
You gotta tip on the tightrope
          T-t-t-tip on the tightrope

          Whether you’re high or low
Baby whether you’re high or low
You got to tip on the tightrope
Now let me see you do the tightrope
And I’m still tippin’ on it

See I’m not walkin’ on it
Or tryin to run around it
          This ain’t no acrobatics
You either follow or you lead, yeah
          I’m talkin’ bout you,
I’ll keep on blaming the machine, yeah
          I’m talkin’ bout it,
          T-t-t-talkin’ bout it
          I can’t complain about it
          I gotta keep my balance
And just keep dancin on it
We gettin funky on the scene
          Yeah you know about it
Like a star on the screen
Watch me tip all on it

Then baby whether I’m high or low
Baby whether you’re high or low
You gotta tip on the tightrope
          Yeah, tip on the tightrope
          Baby, baby, baby
          Whether you’re high or low
Baby whether you’re high or low
          Tip on the tightrope
Baby let me see you tight rope
And I’m still tippin’ on it

Agree. I would just caution that is it not “the country” which has been attacking and slandering Michelle. It is a small, unrelenting, hateful minority. A majority very much likes and is appreciative of her warmth and exemplary conduct as First Lady.

I don’t feel bad for Mrs. Obama per se. She’s aware that these people envy her numerous talents and accomplishments and are resorting to racist stereotypes to tear her down, pretty much like they’ve try to do her husband. I do feel bad for the gullible voters who will be manipulated by the likes of Kantor and the media in voting against their own interests based on foolish propaganda put out there.

I don’t have any inside info, of course, but I think they may have been misled about the kind of book Kantor was planning to write because Kantor had given them fair treatment previously. All the tidbits which have received the most attention likely came from those closest to them—-Jarrett, Gibbs, Nesbitt and Whitaker. And the author then took that info, which was nothing out of the ordinary, everyday conflicts or instances that happen in every WH, and exaggerated and embellished and made them into something they weren’t, trying to stir up conflict so her book would get attention and sales.

                January 11, 2025 at 10:06 am

It’s also possible that she was instructed by her editors to exaggerate those everyday conflicts to increase interest and book sales. Kantor is a snake either way, no doubt, because either she deceived the Obamas and their friends and aquaintances about the kind of book she planned to write or she sold out to the editors and publishers.

She has a husband who loves her, her daughter loves her, her Mother, her brother, other family, and friends, who loves and support her. And I will not leave out, she has all of us, and many more who cares about her. Feel sorry for the ones who is trying to damage her, because they are the losers.

Tweety is as bad as I have seen him. He was going on about how great Willard’s family.is as though the current family in the WH is lacking. Do not forget Willard is named after Tweety’s wife’s boss, J. Willard Marriott.

Oh my goodness, Tweety Whiplash is all over the place with his analysis. Last night I thought I detected some real disdain from him about the snarky comments from Willard on PBO and Europe. But I guess after a good nights sleep it’s not such a problem after all. Also, the gasbags live for this stuff. They don’t want this to be over too soon. The beast must be fed.

I don’t know if anyone caught my comment from yesterday…but he was talking to Tom RIdge and seemed utterly disgusted that the Republicans always have to have a war to start, all lined up. He seemed totally irritated by that. Naturally, Ridge thought that was an unfair characterization… I switched the channel after that.

Can I ask a question, and I am not trying to be nasty, but honestly who gives a dam what Chris Matthews thinks of Mitt’s family? We know Matthews have issues with the Obamas, he don’t like them. Me, I do my very best not to watch or listen to Matthews B.S. Because I know listen to all that B.S. would really piss me off.

I agree Anniebella, but when the so called left wing media is talking up Willard’s family as though the current WH family is lacking is another indication that the approach in the election is going to be we need to “return” to normal. This was the theme in Willard’s speech last night and must be recognized for what it is.

Mariott—-who is also Mormon. Tweety has been in love with Huntsman’s family and used to be in love with Obama’s family. Who knows what today or tomorrow will bring. He’s a weather vane, no core beliefs again, just happy to be there getting paid big bucks to spout whatever notion he has in the moment. He thinks he’s politically brilliant, but much of the time he just appears silly—-who can forget his slobbering over W as a Fly Boy and Cowboy—- and does not deserve to be taken seriously.

Angelina Jolie has a new movie coming out, so…-

On Tuesday evening TheDC asked Jolie if she thinks Obama is taking the country in the right direction.
“There are many many things I think have gone in a wonderful direction, and there are a few things I am disappointed in. And I don’t feel like tonight is the night to clarify but there are many wonderful things that have moved forward and of course some other things that are very frustrating,” she told TheDC on the red carpet at the Holocaust Museum for the premiere of “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” her directorial debut.
Jolie, who is known for her work with the United Nations, also told TheDC that the United States should “adjust” the way it distributes foreign aid.
Texas congressman Ron Paul has called for eliminating foreign aid entirely, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich would require nations to prove why they need the funds. Both are GOP presidential hopefuls.
“Well, I think there’s a bigger discussion to be had, which is foreign aid itself, and what is foreign aid, and if foreign aid is just cash and just dropping food aid but not addressing fair trade, and not addressing how to help people learn about their own laws and self-govern — and it’s just constantly throwing a kind of, you know — it’s the fish and not teaching somebody how to fish, right?” she told TheDC.
“It’s giving them — We need to really step in and adjust the way we do foreign aid so I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer, saying yes we should or no we shouldn’t. We just absolutely have to adjust the way we address foreign aid, period, because as the way it’s been going — it’s not, uh — I don’t feel in many of those countries it’s completely helping them get back on their feet in an independent way, and they deserve that, and so we have a lot more we need to be doing.”

I enjoyed Romney’s speech last night and he did not disappoint. His speech was big and grand, and he also left no stone unturned in his attack on President Obama. Forget about those big checks he wrote at Bain, and trust me there were big. But last night Romney made a fundamental mistake when writing a big check, you had better make sure you got enough cash to back it up. Last night Romney wrote a check his ass can’t cash.

Morning everyone:) I need a favor today. A good thought, and a prayer if you pray. My husband lost his job right before Christmas, and he has an interview today. If you could, I need some good vibes, happy thoughts, and positive thoughts for him today. Been a tough 3 years at our house….like so many others. But if my family here can think good thoughts, I would be grateful beyond words :) Hugs to you all, and thank you, ahead of time.

I hear some “woe is me” going on here….if you believe that PBO has done right by Americans and our country, and he HAS….his hard work and record will stand up to this pig slop being thrown around by Republicans…they have no IDEAS, other than the same old stuff they ALWAYS peddle. It’s their stage right now, and they will say and do anything to regain POWER….the most important thing to them. They can’t govern. Never could. We will hear all about them until they finally chose a crazy person to run against PBO. If you ask me, the others are doing a FINE job of helping to expose Romney for the slimey, lying bastard he is! That doesn’t magically get erased when he gets chosen….Lots of ammunition to use against him…when everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie, when your business record is one of trashing companies and shipping jobs overseas, when you are against many things that the majority of Americans are FOR,then he is going to have a problem. Hell, REPUBLICANS don’t even like him!

As more and more comes to light, he will be shown to be even worse than we know….and PBO’s records of successes will stand strong on their own.He does things because it’s the right thing to do for Americans and their families. Romney just wants power…and will attempt to destroy anything on his way to that goal. Americans are crazy, but they’re not that stupid. Add to that, the fact that he gets ruffled easily…..are you kidding me? When he debates PBO it will be must see TV! Let them have their moment, let them think that its all good,we work just as hard in the background…doing what we always do. Having his back, talking to people, writing letters…etc. Spreading truth. Power to the people.Corporations are NOT PEOPLE, my friend! He’ll get more cocky and arrogant, then he won’t know what hit him…and that’s just FINE by me! Press On, people….mark my words, they will take themselves down. We just have to work our tails off for the right reasons, for the right President. hugs…talk amongst yourselves :) Morning rant over!

    good morning TOD family

I pray God so that potus and flotus can stay the course and get through this bitch’s book and this whole BD departure and anything that can come their way.
I pray for patience;courage;calm;focus;health;determination;protection and blessings;peace and joy

Flotus answered the questions with nothing but poise and calm but I bet she also felt that Gayle had her back as well but still underneath I could still feel a tad of frustration at this piece of crap Kantor calls a “book”.

How can you possibly think you can feel;speak and think for someone you don’t effing know;much less have a relationship with?

Anyway just wanted to say hi everyone and wish you all a good day.Might check back before I head to rehab with mom.Special hello to Chip for this site and HZ.
