When you hear something like Newt Gingrich or Donald Trump say that we don’t have any role models, first of all they are lying bastards. This time, there was uncomfortable laughter. “Voters are looking for hope and change as much today as they were in 2008,” Rasmussen explained, and “you ought to be encouraging Republican candidates, people you support, to offer that positive step forward.”
Rasmussen had put his finger on a major problem for Republicans in 2012, and conservatives in particular: At a time when the national mood has begun to improve, they remain nattering nabobs of negativism. At CPAC, any hint of a “positive step” was buried in vitriol.

FLOTUS is beauty and grace personified from the inside out. Now that the repubs. have recognized her personal power it makes them all the more willing to go after her unlike some of the Stepford Wifes. That’s a great quote. Just sharing this: I talked with a woman I hadn’t spoken with for about 20 years. We were joined at the hip in our 20′s and then she divorced her husband (who was a nut) and took her children and moved to Africa. At the time, she said she didn’t want to raise her children here. Especially her young sons. Mothers of black boys know exactly what she meant. We must of talked on the phone for 3 hours. I actually found her daughter on Facebook and she contacted her mother for me. Anyway my friend said something that really moved me. I am a spiritual person who believes in a higher power. I do not belong to any organized religion. My friend is just like me. However, she said that she believes that what is going on, not only in this country. but around the world is divinely inspired. She said President Obama, the Arab spring and all the forces moving to make this a more positive world is happening because the world had moved so far from the path of caring for one another and from democracy. Her words “divinely inspired” gave me comfort. I’m sure there are a lot of people here who don’t believe in any power above man, but those do may find this a comfort.
I am thrilled she spoke it aloud. I believe it too, we are on the cusp of a changing Age. In my mind that has been clear for a long time: you know how these times are so often referred to as “The Age of Obama”? (even by pundits and self-described journalists who have little command of their own language)… I have no recollection of EVER hearing The Age of Bush, or The Age of Clinton, or The Age of Reagan. Those years are always referred to as ‘eras’ not ‘Ages’. An Age is a massive time in history where the entire worldview was affected, not always positively, but none the less is considered by it’s long lasting CHANGE on life as it was known before. Marked by Love, Hope, Oneness and responsibility to each other and to the Earth, this age will be remembered for a turn in thinking and in perception of our true purpose here. Not some made up fantasy which profits on division and setting each against the other, but in unifying us as a group of conscious Workers of Goodwill, for the peace of all. We have only just begun to turn the corner, but one thing is for sure, there is no turning back now.

Failed Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller is eyeing Sen. Mark Begich’s seat, which will be up for contest in 2014, according to Washington, D.C., news website Politico.
In an interview with Politico while Miller was attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in D.C., Miller said that he’s ruled out a 2012 run against Rep. Don Young, Alaska’s lone congressman.
Miller did say, however, that “2014, that’s a different story.” And rather cryptically added that Begich “knows what the cards hold on that.”
Miller is just blowing smoke, and hoping to keep his name in the spotlight for a little while longer before he fades into anonymity.
We have so much on Miller it is not even funny, and if he were to run it would be the most fun we have had in Alaska politics since we ran that evil woman form Wasilla out of office.

My God, what that means to see the The First Lady of the United States who looks like you. I know we have seen numerous picturesque of POTUS holding babies and I am not making any comparison. But this one just touched my heart in such a way that before I saw the next picture, because of the awe of expression on the child’s face. I was hoping to myself that FLOTUS would physically touch her or their eyes connect.
And, of course, it happened. I am so grateful for this woman who is the best First Lady, ever. As a young AA girl growing up in the south, this has just made my day, forever. It even keeps me in a serene and peaceful place while the repugs openly celebrate their hate and racism feast while attending their CPAC KKK meeting.
I am so disgusted with the MSM going along with this hate. I have simply lost words for their not pushing back on these ignorant, hateful people.

It was Vice President Spiro Agnew who made those alliterative descriptions famous. He was always using them. Before Nixon resigned, he was under investigation by the United States Attorney’s office in Baltimore, Maryland, on charges of extortion, tax fraud, bribery and conspiracy. In October, he was formally charged with having accepted bribes while holding office as Baltimore County Executive, Governor of Maryland, and Vice President of the United States.
He was allowed to plead “No Contest” to the charges if he resigned as Vice President, which he did, and President Nixon appointed Gerald Ford Vice President to take his place. Nixon must have felt besieged because he was going through the Watergate investigation

Now that the repubs. have recognized her personal power it makes them all the more willing to go after her unlike some of the Stepford Wifes. I just watched Akeelah and the Bee with my young nephew and posted that quote on his wall!
That’s a great quote. Just sharing this: I talked with a woman I hadn’t spoken with for about 20 years. We were joined at the hip in our 20′s and then she divorced her husband (who was a nut) and took her children and moved to Africa. At the time, she said she didn’t want to raise her children here. Especially her young sons. Mothers of black boys know exactly what she meant. We must of talked on the phone for 3 hours. I actually found her daughter on Facebook and she contacted her mother for me. Anyway my friend said something that really moved me. I am a spiritual person who believes in a higher power. I do not belong to any organized religion. My friend is just like me. However, she said that she believes that what is going on, not only in this country. but around the world is divinely inspired. She said President Obama, the Arab spring and all the forces moving to make this a more positive world is happening because the world had moved so far from the path of caring for one another and from democracy. Her words “divinely inspired” gave me comfort. I’m sure there are a lot of people here who don’t believe in any power above man, but those do may find this a comfort.
I am thrilled she spoke it aloud. I believe it too, we are on the cusp of a changing Age. In my mind that has been clear for a long time: you know how these times are so often referred to as “The Age of Obama”? (even by pundits and self-described journalists who have little command of their own language)… I have no recollection of EVER hearing The Age of Bush, or The Age of Clinton, or The Age of Reagan. Those years are always referred to as ‘eras’ not ‘Ages’. An Age is a massive time in history where the entire worldview was affected, not always positively, but none the less is considered by it’s long lasting CHANGE on life as it was known before. Marked by Love, Hope, Oneness and responsibility to each other and to the Earth, this age will be remembered for a turn in thinking and in perception of our true purpose here. Not some made up fantasy which profits on division and setting each against the other, but in unifying us as a group of conscious Workers of Goodwill, for the peace of all. We have only just begun to turn the corner, but one thing is for sure, there is no turning back now.

Failed Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller is eyeing Sen. Mark Begich’s seat, which will be up for contest in 2014, according to Washington, D.C., news website Politico.
In an interview with Politico while Miller was attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in D.C., Miller said that he’s ruled out a 2012 run against Rep. Don Young, Alaska’s lone congressman.
Miller did say, however, that “2014, that’s a different story.” And rather cryptically added that Begich “knows what the cards hold on that.”
Miller is just blowing smoke, and hoping to keep his name in the spotlight for a little while longer before he fades into anonymity.
We have so much on Miller it is not even funny, and if he were to run it would be the most fun we have had in Alaska politics since we ran that evil woman form Wasilla out of office.

Let me just say that the picture of the little girl looking up at FLOTUS with those blissful, wide eyes brought me to tears.
My God, what that means to see the The First Lady of the United States who looks like you. I know we have seen numerous picturesque of POTUS holding babies and I am not making any comparison. But this one just touched my heart in such a way that before I saw the next picture, because of the awe of expression on the child’s face. I was hoping to myself that FLOTUS would physically touch her or their eyes connect.
And, of course, it happened. I am so grateful for this woman who is the best First Lady, ever. As a young AA girl growing up in the south, this has just made my day, forever. It even keeps me in a serene and peaceful place while the repugs openly celebrate their hate and racism feast while attending their CPAC KKK meeting.
I am so disgusted with the MSM going along with this hate. I have simply lost words for their not pushing back on these ignorant, hateful people.
This little girl will have memories that I hope she will cherish forever. Not only is she special in God’s eyes, but He sent the FLOTUS to let her know. Thank you, FLOTUS for making her day as well as mine.
I have been staring at that photo all morning…. The child is so aware of herself and the connection she is sharing with Mrs. Obama. “The demographic changes taking place in my adopted state of Nevada did not take place on the border,” he said at a panel on immigration and border security. “It took place in the bedroom.”
It was unclear how Innis wanted those demographics to change, although the statement was made after he listed the changes in the demographics of Nevada from 2000 to 2008 — a period when the white population dropped from about 65 percent to 55 percent, the Latino population increased from about 20 percent to about 27 percent, and the Black population stayed about the same.
“As conservatives we have to be pragmatic with our policy,” he said, adding that the Republican Party should avoid alienating non-whites if it does not want to “go the way of the Whig Party.”
