What? No cheesy grits and bisquits? How dare the President ignore that American delicacy! Somebody in MS or AL is thinking that.

    • 52 Dudette
      March 14, 2025 at 6:15 pm

Sorry dears, it’s not the bananas that are gross. Bananas are natural sweeteners. Who doesn’t love a great banana split or a banana daiquiri or banana pudding or bananas and peanut butter sandwich or bananas with corn flakes or banana nut bread or … anyway, you get the picture. Bananas go great with many other foods and I won’t mention some of the other fun things you can with them. [Get your minds out of the gutter, I was thinking of... oh never mind]

Anyway, it’s not the bananas that are yucky. Oh no, no, no — it’s the cottage cheese that makes me queezy. That stuff is like curded baby spittle. I don’t care WHAT you mix it with. It’s G-RRRossssss!! Eeww! Phla… gagh, ackkkh!!

But by all means, do enjoy your snack Tally! :-)

I’m with you on that Tally. Everything sounds deeee-lish!!

Now there’s an occasion where I wouldn’t mind being part of the wait staff. Although with my luck, they’d catch me with sauce dripping from the corner of my mouth and toss me out the back door before the first course is finished.

Another food I like. Yowser! I am not in synch here. I like to buy fresh pineapple and slice it a little thich putting a couple of scoops of cottage cheese on the ring and sprinkle curry powder on top for my lunch. Love it!

    Oh. My. God.

“Rick Santorum’s delegate haul in Mississippi and Alabama? Thirty-two, with just over 300,000 votes cast on his behalf.

Mitt Romney’s delegate haul in American Somoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Marianas Islands and Guam? Thirty-four, with 1,129 votes cast on his behalf (70, 104, 740 and 215 votes respectively).

Oh, and Romney also got 25 delegates from Mississippi and Alabama. He even got more delegates in Mississippi than Rick Santorum, despite Santorum winning the popular vote. But he was a little more efficient about things in the U.S. territories, getting one delegate for every 33 votes cast. In the southern states, he only got one delegate for every 10,581 votes. That’s 321 times less efficient than Romney’s island victories. And he spent about $2.5 million more doing it.”

          2008

2012 - is UP for those two states. I’m sure Rachel or Ed did a thing on most places are low turnout this year. Of course, the hateful south would be up.

            AL - 619,940
            MS - 283,315

It’s kind of silly to talk about why President Obama was elected, when we’ve got three years worth of historic accomplishments to talk about - AFTER he was elected. This isn’t his first time at the rodeo. He’s already doing the job that Romney is trying to win. And when we compare what President Obama has done with his time in office, versus what Romney did with his time in office, there’s no contest.

I know many of you do not like Politico, but Roger Simon brought the SNARK in an article today. I was LOL for real!!

GOP wants YOU for its NOMINEE!

    Do YOU need a JOB?

Or are YOU in a DEAD-END job with LITTLE chance of ADVANCEMENT?

Are you BORED? FIDGETY? DISCONNECTED from REALITY and possessing certain DELUSIONAL tendencies?

Do you believe in a MOON COLONY?

Would you like NASCAR, NFL team owners and other NE’ER-DO-WELLS to SUCK UP to YOU?

Or are you just eager to IMPOSE your own PERSONAL RELIGIOUS BELIEFS on the rest of the AMERICAN PEOPLE?

In that case: Would YOU like to be the PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE of the UNITED STATES REPUBLICAN PARTY?

    …..

This party is a FIXER-UPPER but with UNLIMITED POTENTIAL!

All it needs is VISION, PURPOSE, ORGANIZATION, the ABILITY TO CONNECT WITH ORDINARY PEOPLE, PROOF that it does not HATE women, Latinos, the poor, the ill, the downtrodden and other lazy bums who leach off society.

    THIS PERSON CAN BE YOU!

THERE ARE NO BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED!

HAVE AN EXCESS OF FORMER SPOUSES?

    A PENCHANT FOR FANATICISM?

OR EVEN PAST CRUELTY TO ANIMALS?

THIS IS NOT A DEAL BREAKER!

A team of PROFESSIONALS, the same people who vetted SARAH PALIN, will WORK with you, bring you UP TO SPEED and even provide you with a FABULOUS WARDROBE.

Blago is going to give some final words tonight before he heads to prison tomorrow to serve a 14 year sentence. I am probably in the minority, but I still can’t believe this sentence. It just doesn’t feel just. Without getting into all the details, I just feel Blago was in over his head, was acting and sounding immature—-making threats that sounded more like jr. high than what you would expect from a governor—-but there was no crime committed in my estimation. Nothing ever happened. People who commit some violent crimes get a lesser sentence. And just on a humanity level—-all agree that he has been a great husband and father, dearly loves his 2 daughters who will be grown women by the time he sees the light of day again. Just sad about it.

Dotster, I agree and not one person from a major Wall Street firm is in jail. Also, while Mayor of Wasilla the half term governor built her house with the same materials that were being used to build a city hockey rink, and she is doing well. The world is not fair.

      • 118 Obama Grandmama
        March 14, 2025 at 10:39 pm

Actually, Sarah gave the contract to the company that built the ice rink after they built her house on the adjoined property. Those same people worked with Todd to build their house and it is suspected that they got their house for the contract. It was the same contractors that build Senator Stevens questioned deck on his house. She got rid of the permit system that would have provided the paper trail that would have caught it prior to her house building. She may seem stupid in a lot of ways but she is cagey as a fox. The reporter tracking it down during the ’08 Campaign ran into a dead end on it.
