Mitt Romney just said he will file his 2011 tax returns sometime in the next 6 months and prior to the election in November when there is sufficient information to release an accurate return. WTF? What the heck is he hiding? Thank you Romney for changing the topic from the Hilary Rosen nontroversy to this. The Obama team and the media is going to hammer him for this. Doesn’t he know it smacks of shadiness? Everyone is going to be asking: What’s Mitt Hiding?

I want him to release prior to 2010. We need to see what he paid in taxes for the previous years. I wonder if you have to pay taxes for having money overseas?
UT, I think his problems are with his previous tax returns he is refusing to release. He had enough advance notice to arrange his affairs for his 2011 returns, knowing they must be released. The pressure should continue for him to release his returns back to 2000 as PBO and VPB have.
I’ve been tweeting all the various MSM outlets about this issue. Why does he need an extension to file his 2011 taxes? And why can’t he release the back returns from 2000 -2009?
Well then release the 1999 through 2009 tax returns, Myth Robme.

The GOPolitico report quotes that twat Brendan Buck mentioning other polls that had higher support for the Rule, but this is Gallup’s first.

Boehner only quotes polls that allign with his nutty ideology. Polls also said the American people wanted a combination of revenue and cuts during the debt ceiling debacle. I didn’t here him quoting those polls.
Remember, 45% or so of voters will vote for anyone other than PBO. 60% approving of a major PBO proposal is not bad.

I am very, very, very confused. I just watched a video of Joe Scarborough making sense about the Hilary Rosen comments. What’s remarkable is that Joe Scarborough is exposing the hypocrisy of his own party. I am stunned. I don’t expect to see anything like this again in the near future. Because I can just imagine the pummeling Joe got from his party for this lapse into reasonableness. He actually asks the question if Romney should apologize for Congressman Allen West calling Democrats communists. Fair warning, Peggy Noonan is on the panel displaying her usual curious political analysis, dramtic long winded pauses and ticks. She pretends not to get it the point that Joe was making.

Allen West (R-FL) accused 81 House Democrats of belonging to the Communist Party.
In the past 24 hours, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats have all spoken out in defense of Ann Romney after Democratic CNN contributor Hilary Rosen asserted that Ann Romney “never worked a day in her life.”
But as Scarborough noted on Friday, no Republican — including Romney — has disputed West’s recent claim that up to 81 House Democrats were secretly members of the Communist Party.

David Plouffe, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama, said Republican Mitt Romney should release decades of back tax returns, framing the issue of as one of “transparency and trust” that will help define the choice for voters in November.
“If he’s got nothing to hide, then there’s nothing to lose,” Plouffe said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt” airing this weekend.
Obama campaign officials have challenged Romney to release 23 years of tax returns that they say the former private equity executive shared for a background check when he was considered for the Republican vice presidential nomination in 2008.
The returns are “just sitting in a box or vault or something,” Plouffe said. “The American people want to have trust in their leaders,” he said.

The recent run-up in oil and gasoline prices may have run its course - for now.
Thanks to easing demand from a slowing global economy and increased production from Saudi Arabia, the oil market is coming off a two-year cycle of tightening supply, according to the International Energy Agency. That’s helped snap a 13 percent surge in oil prices since the start of the year.
Much of that run-up was fueled by fears of a cutoff in supplies from Iran, which is the target of U.S. and European sanctions aimed at curbing its nuclear weapons program. Those sanctions have been applied in stages since the start of the year.
But traders may have overreacted to the potential impact of those sanctions, according to Julian Jessop, chief global economist at Capital Economics.

Mitt not releasing his tax returns and filing for an extension is definite proof this guy is not ready for prime time (it’s also proof that he has something to hide. I expect Mitt’s campaign to start claiming that PBO has numerous offshore bank accounts). He has been the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for years and to be this clueless at this late date (after a grueling primary that was supposed to strengthen him as a candidate) illustrates how weak he is as a candidate. I hope that he is able to escape the GOP Convention with the nomination. BTW Alexrod and Plouffe have been pitch perfect and very effective in countering MSM and GOP nonsense.
Oh this is outstanding, really nails the way things work between we dems and repubs.. our priorities.
