Chuck Todd is not a politcal reporter, he is a propagandist. All this talk of “enthusiasm gap” and how black and brown people will vote is getting tiresome. The fact is that it is the GOP that has the enthusiasm gap. Evidence of this is found in the fact that Mitt is so afraid of losing his base that he cannot “move to the center” as all previous presidential candidates would have done long before now. Mitt’s very real fear of his base deserting him is real world evidence of his base’s lack of enthusiasm for their candidate. In addition, the constant stream of hate and racism the GOP has been spewing has not gone unnoticed by AA’s, Latinos and women. It will serve as a motivating factor for Dems to vote in this election (women don’t want to lose control of their bodies and Latinos don’t want to self-deport). THe vast majority of AA’s understand the obstacles these racists have put in PBO’s way, and have a stake in making PBO a two term President. Finally, if there really is a Dem enthusiasm gap, why is the GOP involved in so much voter suppression and outright voter fraud? Todd and his msm ilk are engaged in wishful thinking and spin in an effort to prop up Mitt’s candidacy. He has zero credibility and should be treated accordingly.
That man gets worse every day. I cannot take his smirky, snarky, arrogance anymore. I don’t watch his show (or Andrea Mitchell’s), and I have to turn away whenever he’s a guest on other shows. I’m not so much against someone having a point of view, even if I don’t agree with it, but he tries to talk down any good reports about the President, and talk up the negative, even when it doesn’t make sense.
I totally agree with you Virginia — can’t tolerate Chuck or Andrea. I’m not crazy about The Cycle either although I don’t hate it. Chuck Todd needed to stick to his statistics and numbers and leave the prognosticating to others.

President Barack Obama has his largest lead in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Telemundo oversample of Hispanic voters: 50 points.
Obama leads Republican challenger Mitt Romney among Latino registered voters, 70 percent to 20 percent, and with an equal margin among likely Latino voters, 71 percent to 21 percent. That is an increase of 15 points from August, and outpaces Obama’s 2008 split (67 percent to 31 percent) over John McCain.

Plus, as I mentioned yesterday, although historically the Latino community has relatively low turnout, every report and poll I have seen that addresses that issue indicates that the Latino vote will be anywhere from 20-30% higher than in the past. One of the reasons that those polls that keep minority percentage of the vote the same as 2008 are full of it.
This is why I think the Dems should take another look at Arizona and put some resources there. I especially think that AZ’s U.S. Senate seat is winnable.
I’ve heard that Romney is going to give more positive ideas that he will do for the Hispanics at the debate in order to change that poll number. Hope they don’t fall for his lies.
The media would rather show VP Biden in an unflattering way. They refuse to show him like a wonderful decent human being he is. VP Biden is one Strong Kind man.

I actually think that Obama should make a few quick whistle-stop tours in the red states. Two things - To prove that ‘united states is not just red states and blue states but it’s united states’ and to make the thugs spend their corrupt cash in their own backyard. He could even joke about how he is making the repubs actually spend some money in their own states for a ‘change’.

Yes HZ — I am right there with you and Carolyn. Woman in my mid-fifties who’s had a crush on Joe Biden for years (I want one of those hugs…) — as has my 82-year-old mother. And during the 2008 campaign, my teenage daughter had to admit that Joe was super cute. She drinks her coffee out of her “Cup of Joe” mug every day, to my great delight! Joe is a man for all seasons!
