Well, I’m officially tired of this pain. And it’s not back pain, but definitely TMI to tell you what it is. Let’s just say that I can’t sit for very long. Doctor just called in a cream, so hopefully that will help. Miss you all terribly, but I think a break from the ridiculousness we call US politics is good for me.
Hope everyone is in good spirits, and a happy Dad’s day to all the fathers. Hopefully I’ll be back full force by Monday.

I hated the MSM’s intolerable coverage of the 2012 campaign, and now see how they undermine this admnistration on a daily basis (mostly by “reporting” on how “uppity” this President is; they have nothing else, and are shamelessly self-congratulatory about it to boot).

I will try and post an update on what our local OFA is doing each week. I would encourage everyone to become involved with a local OFA, you can make calls from home, gather signatures on petitions, do voter registration, attend rallies, there is a lot for you to do.
Newtown 6 month anniversary rally
Here is a web page pith photos. I can’t post them here - hope you will click and look them over. We had 20 folks, a staffer from Congressman Thompson’s district and lots of horn honks.

We also held a phone bank making calls into Modesto to encourage folks to call Congressman Denham and attend a meeting at his office on Friday. It was fun to call Democrats and invite them to get involved. After spending a year calling Independents and Republicans in swing states, this was easy peasey….
We also attended a local City Council meeting where we spoke in support of a clean power option for PG and E customers.
For the next few days I am going to work in my yard and take naps.

FLOTUS Happy Fathers Day message to President Obama last year.
I love seeing the pictures of President Obama with children. They give him a look of adoration and respect. And it seems as if a special message is being silently communicated between the President and the child(ren).
Yes, and he returns their adoration with genuine affection and respect! He leans over or stoops down to talk to them BUT he des not talk down to them. And one other observation about the wonderful pictures of President Obama and the girls: I love that he spend one-on-one time with each of them. I am sure that both Sasha and Malia feel valued by their Dad. I am lucky (my kids too): my hubby is also a hands on, affectional, affirming Dad!
Affectionate …I meant to say.
Each of these wonderful moments evokes its own response, and the one with the SilverFox in the frame has it’s own very special response, eh, HZ and Carolyn? ;)
