THIS!!!!!!
x2!!! Congrats on 1st, Tally!!!
Congrats Tall on #1 :) And thanks for all you’ve done in helping to get folks educated about and signed up for ACA!
Good to see you there in #1 spot! Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put in to get Californians covered by ACA.
Co-sign nath!
Thank you Tally! Your work is saving lives both directly and indirectly!
TallyBard!!
And I thank you deeply for signing up my daughter… Tough for her to see the difference between the excellent healthcare system in Australia, and what we are only just now being able to utilize. We must seem very far behind to all the other civilized countries!
Way to go, Tally!
Morally first!
Just like United tonight :-(
Wonderful tweets Nerdy, the ACA is changing lives forever!
Lovely photo. The Netherlands seems very diverse from that photo.
The Dutch still have possessions in the Caribbean. Also, many Indonesians settle in the former colonial power.
Congrats Tally! ……..LL, always late to the party :(
Now who is divorcing? And btw, I agree. The only time I regretted not hearing constantly (and it was constant … even on CNN) about Britney Spears was when Sarah Palin replaced her in the news. God, I missed Britney news during those awful four long, long years.
Chris Martin of Coldplay and Gwynneth Paltrow.
Oh. Well, I know who she is, but I don’t know him and didn’t know she was even married … so …but thanks for telling me.
P.S. LL: Does that mean that mainstream media news will be FILLED with the sordid details (real or imagined) instead of anything positive about our President’s current travels and our First Lady’s trip to China? Yep, I guess so. That is the way the press goes in the good ole U. S. of A.
Normally I’d say yes, but I doubt CNN would get too much mileage out of Chris and Gwynneth.
Noooooooooooooo! :???:
Yes, I’m crushed.
I will tryyyyyyyyyy to fix you.
Really, why the fuck does a multimillionaire with a gorgeous wife and gorgeous kids SING SUCH FUCKING SAD SONGS?!?
Because money can’t buy happiness, so I’m told. Never believed that shite.
The next Coldplay album: “Gwynneth”. It’ll be 100 minutes long.
LOL, you heartless wench!!
Mind you, he might be relieved the marriage is over, so he’ll do a cover of ‘Happy’.
:-D
So far we purposely boycott PapaJohns and Hobby Lobby…..also Koch products.
Only entered HobbyLobby once - before the brouhaha - and won’t be returning, either.
Easy to do - never have been to either, never will. Don’t buy anything Koch, would rather do without!
Finally got around to completing a blog post on the final installment of submissions to the NatGeo Photo Contest…. incredible collection of shots!
……and the contest winners:
Absolutely stunning LP, RTed you earlier, the owl is extraordinary!
Thanks for sharing Chips! I have always had a fascination with photography. When I retire someday I’m going to make that my permanent hobby…. I have no idea how they narrow down these submissions into a ‘winners’ category…..
What would posses a person to swim with jellyfish?
another favorite is “This monk was young and energetic and decided to “fly” in his exuberance for life.”
LP - Maybe after 2017, you could ask our Pete Souza to give you some mentoring in the photography department?! :) :)
We are on the same wavelength HF. I went and saw his gallery exhibition… The Human Element: The Peter Souza Exhibit at the Leica Gallery … http://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/content/human-element-peter-souza-exhibit-leica-gallery ….back in 2012. It Was awesome!!
Oh WOW…I didn’t even know this exhibit had existed - I visited NYC several times in 2011-2012, and had I known about this I would’ve made a point to go to the museum!! I hope they bring it back! Genius doesn’t adequately describe Pete’s talent - his work is so profoundly moving…
You’re on a #OBAMACARE roll, NW!!!! Well done.
Thank you.
Lovely to see all those tweets supporting the healthcare law. Go Obamacare! It’s shameful that Republicans want to take away healthcare insurance from millions of Americans.
Happy Tuesday afternoon TOD family!
I do hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the day.
Liberal Librarian, THANK YOU for your “rant.” Truth trumps everything.
We must vote in masses if we want to see change in 2014-16.
My heart has just been so heavy for the 2.2 million families without unemployment benefits, and now, some will lose their homes as they enter foreclosure. What is wrong with America, to see human lives suffering, and they refuse to vote on this issue?
Congress is not going to bulge and the President can’t do it on his own. This is just heart breaking and sickening. Rev Al talked about how some of the families are now giving their children pets away because they can’t afford to feed them. Domestic violence is increasing due to the stress of these families being with out assistance. This is wrong on every level.
I wish that there was a “million strong” march headed to Washington because I would be there, fighting for what is just and what is right. How can anyone vote for these repukes? There is no understanding for voting for these heartless spineless SOBs.
Families are suffering and children are suffering, and the only thing the repukes want to do; repeal Obamacare, and run out the clock on President Obama’s second term and place blame on President Obama and the Dems, as the economy heads in to another free fall. President Obama has worked his rear off; cleaning up the Bush mess and to save this economy and help everyone. They are willing to destroy this country because of their hate for one man, who happens to be African American.
This is not politics as usual, “EVERYONE” needs to call this out for what it is; destroy the people and this country because a black man had the audacity to run for President and win, not once but twice.
Every Dem needs to vote, and vote like it’s their last meal because if the repukes take the Senate, it may very well be our last meal.
Because this can’t be said enough:
Absolutely. As my mother always told me: “Consider the source.”
Aside from certain select folks like all of you on here, people are pissing me off today.
You lied us into Iraq, killed how many innocent Iraqis, how many American soldiers were killed, how many was messed up physically and mentally, America reputation was destroy, and it cost us over a 1T dollars. You made a dam mess in Iraq. You torture people, kept them lock up in Gitmo with no trial. It puzzle me how anyone would listen to anything Donald Rumsfeld has to say.
You summed him up perfectly, anniebella!!!
So true …
And Georgia is about to make one of my fears realized.
Could not believe than when I read it earlier - and classrooms???
Ok, I was watching an episode of “The Rifleman” last night. (Don’t judge me.) And Chuck Connors’ son on the show was waxing eloquent how he foresaw a time where people wouldn’t carry guns and the frontier would be civilized and peaceful. I think I choked up.
I love the Rifleman and shows from that era. The shows always had a moral to the story even though folks were getting shot. It was mostly someone who was the aggressive one and as self defense. Maybe that’s why some boomers are prone to guns due this westerns. For a brief moment we did have a time people didn’t feel the need to carry guns and we will get back to that again.
I am crossing GA off my list along with all the other Red states…..they might as well be part of Russia.
Fucking Republicans! Ugh!
President Jimmy Carter’s interview with CNN is being spread out over the week on UpFront. I think he’s talking about Russia in the ’70s.
I’m sure it’ll all turn into “President Obama is doing a magnificent job in foreign policy” and more kudos like that. Or not. I really won’t be listening.
He’s turned from a kindly former president who does good things into somebody who’s almost as bitter as McCain. I once supported him … never thought he’d earn all the bad feelings I have for him now. #MovingOn
I’m disappointed in Jimmy Carter too.
THIS!!!!!
Can’t remember where, bit I read that he stated that PBO is the only sitting President that has not called him for any advice. Maybe he is a little bitter about that.
Wish I could boycott but I’d never heard of Papa John’s or Hobby Lobby or Chick-Fil-A until they made the news for being utter bigots and idiots. And boy am I glad for that.
The Supreme Court cannot roll back the hands of time. Women will never again tolerate the intrusion of men and employers in their personal life.
I’ve heard of Papa John, but don’t eat pizzas. Never heard of Hobby Lobby before, and don’t bother Chick-Fila either.
Papa John’s pizza is nasty just like its founder.
Chic-Fil-A keep their fried and dried cardboard too.
I stopped shopping at crappy Hobby Lobby years ago and don’t buy Koch Products either.
Not a dime from me will support these jerks!
ACA avalanche in the pipeline y’all!!!
LL, you and Gus are simply too much…I’m dying here….
Oh poopers, I didn’t see you post that.
Sheesh.
MUFC 0-3 MCFC. ‘Nuff said.
Book burner!!!
MArk Knoller is having another Twitter soliloquy about PBO and the Autopen!
You. Are. Kidding. Me.
Check his TL…he’s been at it for the last 10-15 minutes.
OMG, just looked Hopefruit. He’s totally playing to the Birther crowd, something else ‘unconstitutional’ about PBO. He’s a turd.
He’s obviously annoyed that PBO totally dominated the world stage at the Netherlands press conference and his BFF Jon Karl was made to look like an arse. So he’s rehashing that autopen issue - which he has rehashed several times before!
Might want to repair that tweet, Chips - @MarkKnoller ;)
A very oddball obsession he has with the auto pen.
Knoller is a fucking weirdo of the highest order.
I really like this fella!
“He has been Ukraine’s Prime Minister for barely a month, but already Arseniy Yatsenyuk doubts anyone will vote for him again.
That’s not surprising, given that his agenda includes raising taxes, slashing spending, cutting subsidies, stamping out corruption, and transforming nearly every government institution. And all while the economy stagnates and the country faces a possible military confrontation with Russia.
“Who is to vote for me after this?” Mr. Yatsenyuk said with a smile during an interview Friday. “Not sure about my wife, even.”
clip
But since taking office, he has surprised many observers with his skillful handling of the job. He got kudos for taking on Russia’s UN ambassador during a recent Security Council meeting on Crimea, and he has been a near-constant presence in Brussels, pushing the European Union to take a tougher line with Moscow and organizing a financial package for Ukraine. Back home, he won points for travelling economy, selling government cars, and even showing flashes of humour. When Prime Minister Stephen Harper mused about kicking Russia out of the G8 during a press conference in Kiev on Saturday, Mr. Yatsenyuk jumped in and said: “If there is an empty seat at the G8, we’ll take it.” The line broke up many in the room, particularly Ukrainian journalists who were not used to seeing such lightheartedness from their leader.”

Have you seen CBS News poll which says that most Americans are disappointed in POTUS handling of Ukraine crisis. 46 disapprove, 38 approve. And my question to those people, what would another war satisfy you?
It’s CBS nuff said. I’m glad The CIC doesn’t pay attention to polls.
Go man c.
