And I thank you deeply for signing up my daughter… Tough for her to see the difference between the excellent healthcare system in Australia, and what we are only just now being able to utilize. We must seem very far behind to all the other civilized countries!

Thanks for sharing Chips! I have always had a fascination with photography. When I retire someday I’m going to make that my permanent hobby…. I have no idea how they narrow down these submissions into a ‘winners’ category…..

We are on the same wavelength HF. I went and saw his gallery exhibition… The Human Element: The Peter Souza Exhibit at the Leica Gallery … http://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/content/human-element-peter-souza-exhibit-leica-gallery ….back in 2012. It Was awesome!!

Oh WOW…I didn’t even know this exhibit had existed - I visited NYC several times in 2011-2012, and had I known about this I would’ve made a point to go to the museum!! I hope they bring it back! Genius doesn’t adequately describe Pete’s talent - his work is so profoundly moving…

    Happy Tuesday afternoon TOD family!

I do hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the day.

Liberal Librarian, THANK YOU for your “rant.” Truth trumps everything.

We must vote in masses if we want to see change in 2014-16.

My heart has just been so heavy for the 2.2 million families without unemployment benefits, and now, some will lose their homes as they enter foreclosure. What is wrong with America, to see human lives suffering, and they refuse to vote on this issue?

Congress is not going to bulge and the President can’t do it on his own. This is just heart breaking and sickening. Rev Al talked about how some of the families are now giving their children pets away because they can’t afford to feed them. Domestic violence is increasing due to the stress of these families being with out assistance. This is wrong on every level.

I wish that there was a “million strong” march headed to Washington because I would be there, fighting for what is just and what is right. How can anyone vote for these repukes? There is no understanding for voting for these heartless spineless SOBs.

Families are suffering and children are suffering, and the only thing the repukes want to do; repeal Obamacare, and run out the clock on President Obama’s second term and place blame on President Obama and the Dems, as the economy heads in to another free fall. President Obama has worked his rear off; cleaning up the Bush mess and to save this economy and help everyone. They are willing to destroy this country because of their hate for one man, who happens to be African American.

This is not politics as usual, “EVERYONE” needs to call this out for what it is; destroy the people and this country because a black man had the audacity to run for President and win, not once but twice.

Every Dem needs to vote, and vote like it’s their last meal because if the repukes take the Senate, it may very well be our last meal.

You made a dam mess in Iraq. You torture people, kept them lock up in Gitmo with no trial. It puzzle me how anyone would listen to anything Donald Rumsfeld has to say.

Ok, I was watching an episode of “The Rifleman” last night. (Don’t judge me.) And Chuck Connors’ son on the show was waxing eloquent how he foresaw a time where people wouldn’t carry guns and the frontier would be civilized and peaceful. I think I choked up.

          March 25, 2025 at 8:14 pm

I love the Rifleman and shows from that era. The shows always had a moral to the story even though folks were getting shot. It was mostly someone who was the aggressive one and as self defense. Maybe that’s why some boomers are prone to guns due this westerns. For a brief moment we did have a time people didn’t feel the need to carry guns and we will get back to that again.

President Jimmy Carter’s interview with CNN is being spread out over the week on UpFront. I think he’s talking about Russia in the ’70s.

I’m sure it’ll all turn into “President Obama is doing a magnificent job in foreign policy” and more kudos like that. Or not. I really won’t be listening.

He’s turned from a kindly former president who does good things into somebody who’s almost as bitter as McCain. I once supported him … never thought he’d earn all the bad feelings I have for him now. #MovingOn

Wish I could boycott but I’d never heard of Papa John’s or Hobby Lobby or Chick-Fil-A until they made the news for being utter bigots and idiots. And boy am I glad for that.

Papa John’s pizza is nasty just like its founder.

Chic-Fil-A keep their fried and dried cardboard too.

I stopped shopping at crappy Hobby Lobby years ago and don’t buy Koch Products either.

Not a dime from me will support these jerks!

        • March 25, 2025 at 9:02 pm

OMG, just looked Hopefruit. He’s totally playing to the Birther crowd, something else ‘unconstitutional’ about PBO. He’s a turd.

            March 25, 2025 at 9:12 pm

He’s obviously annoyed that PBO totally dominated the world stage at the Netherlands press conference and his BFF Jon Karl was made to look like an arse. So he’s rehashing that autopen issue - which he has rehashed several times before!

    I really like this fella!

“He has been Ukraine’s Prime Minister for barely a month, but already Arseniy Yatsenyuk doubts anyone will vote for him again.

That’s not surprising, given that his agenda includes raising taxes, slashing spending, cutting subsidies, stamping out corruption, and transforming nearly every government institution. And all while the economy stagnates and the country faces a possible military confrontation with Russia.

“Who is to vote for me after this?” Mr. Yatsenyuk said with a smile during an interview Friday. “Not sure about my wife, even.”

    clip

But since taking office, he has surprised many observers with his skillful handling of the job. He got kudos for taking on Russia’s UN ambassador during a recent Security Council meeting on Crimea, and he has been a near-constant presence in Brussels, pushing the European Union to take a tougher line with Moscow and organizing a financial package for Ukraine. Back home, he won points for travelling economy, selling government cars, and even showing flashes of humour. When Prime Minister Stephen Harper mused about kicking Russia out of the G8 during a press conference in Kiev on Saturday, Mr. Yatsenyuk jumped in and said: “If there is an empty seat at the G8, we’ll take it.” The line broke up many in the room, particularly Ukrainian journalists who were not used to seeing such lightheartedness from their leader.”
