None! They are the most giving, caring people I have ever seen in the public eye.
Every day they touch all of our lives with their grace. It’s been a real revolution of the soul watching them in the WH over the past 5 1/2 years. They changed everything.

Missing Wife Found - An Alaskan Story (Sarah Palin?)
The day after his wife disappeared In a kayaking accident,
an Anchorage man answered his door to find two grim-faced
Alaska State Troopers. “We’re sorry Mr. Wilkens, but
we have some information about your wife”, said one of the troopers.
Wilkens exclaimed, “Tell me! Did you find her?!”
The troopers looked at each other. One said, “We have some bad news, some good news and some really great news.
Which would you like to hear first?”
Fearing the worst, Mr. Wilkens said, “Give me the bad news first.”
The trooper said, “I’m sorry to tell you sir, but this morning we found your wife’s body in Kachemak Bay .”
Swallowing hard, he asked, “What’s the good news?”
The trooper continued,”When we pulled her up, she had 12 twenty-five-pound king crabs and 6 good-sized Dungeness crabs clinging to her and we feel you are entitled to a share in the catch.

It’s amazing, AMK! The two countries, who pride themselves for being “nations of immigrants,” are now the ones who don’t even want to honor International humanitarian laws with regard to refugees and people fleeing from violence and oppression. Some of the descendants of European refugees, many of them vocal and powerful, who have now made it in America and Australia, don’t want to be bothered by other refugees who are fleeing oppression from countries that are non-European. It’s as if the term ” the nation of immigrants” was only meant to apply to European immigrants.

I have just listened to Rev. Barber talk to the AFT convention (teacher’s union convention in North Carolina today) He is the Pres. an NAACP North Carolina chapter and a founder of “Moral Monday”
He needs to have a ‘chat’ with the other NAACP presidents. Rev. Barber is ON POINT!!!
Regardless of your particular faith, if you are agnostic or atheist, as long as you believe in what is right for people in THESE United States, I believe that you will be able to relate to what Rev. William Barber said to the teachers at the AFT convention today.

Dr. Barber is AWESOME; straight to the point, seeking justice and fairness for all, and no accolades .
I’ve often thought the same, he needs to have a meeting with the NAACP Presidents across the states. I love his commitment, his energy and love for people. He is a force to be reckon with.
If the repukes continue with the law suit against the president, and now they are trying to drum up another scandal to impeach Attorney General Eric Holder, expect to see Dr. Barber at the forefront of this fight.

Hi vc - very chilly in my world - coldest morning in 100 years this am - so was handy that I slept in :)
{{{TS}}} I know you don’t have snow, but inform my ignorance - do you have heating in the house, and things like winter coats? What’s the temperature for your ‘coldest’ morning?
Coldest morning 2.5 C - about 36F in US language - got to a max of 22C during the day.
We have reverse cycle air - so cooling and heating - but not cheap. In southern parts people have oil heating - few, if any have central heating as we had when in the UK - right at the minute I could handle that.
We turn on the heating for a few hours in the morning & evening if it is below about 15.
I do not own a winter coat - used to own one when I lived in the South - about 45 years ago.

I’m still using a phone that looks somewhat like that nokia - 4 years old - battery lasts about 5 days - I believe it connects to the intertubes but I only use it for phone calls and text so who would know.
