You can’t really define electro music except by the way it makes you feel. Oh, you can say that it’s a mix of Kraftwerk and hip hop. But all you really want to do is get out on the dance floor and sweat. Many a dark and sweaty basement party in 1980s NYC was fueled by Africa Bambaataa and Planet Patrol. Nah, was deleting some crappy emails when LL buzzed my inbox. What was I to do? My dancing days are sweet memories now - I was a go-go dancer in the 60’s, white boots, mini skirts, or bell bottoms (hip hugger), fringed tops - the real deal! ;) We were GOOD! We’re talking Lovin’ Spoonful here!
I am picturing you as a ‘Loving Spoonful’ in hip huggers, fringes and all!
Seriously, VC. I danced in front of them one famous night, long long ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Well, in front of the band that opened for them! It was a 14 y/o girls dream come true to meet the Lovin’ Spoonful backstage and get their autographs! I still have a broken drumstick tip from Joe Butler! He was mighty cute, and mighty nice!! So, if LL ever wants to do a Lovin’ Spoonful night, I’ll try to get the moves on!! ;) (what am I saying??)
