When I heard about the “excellent” health of the s***hole, my first thought was, that canāt be right. Then I saw this:
Liars gonna lie. The good doctor didnāt write any such thing.
I was watching Maddow last night when she made that revelation, to say that I was stunned would be an understatement. But the thing is I shouldnāt have been stunned, because this is straight out of the Trump playbook. Who lies about a doctorās visit, why lie? Youāre the goddamn President of the United States of America and youāre lying about going a doctorās visit.
It didnāt make sense to me… a 71-year-old overweight person whose main diet is fast food… come on.
But 45 thinks heās perfect and wants everyone else to think the same. I suspect when the REAL report comes out, it will indicate that his health is not so excellent.
And for someone who is talking about strengthening the libel laws, trying to attach someoneās name to a statement they didnāt make should be grounds for a lawsuit.
It reads like Con Don wrote it himself.
Besides the obvious misspelling, doctors donāt sign that way. They normally put their full name, then M.D.
Releasing a statement like that is not White House protocol. To have it misrepresent a doctorās endorsement seems like it might be a crime.
Especially since this is a military officer who took an oath. If trumpās people are having him put his name to a lie, methinks the doctor should exit.
I thought exactly the same thing, SWbluega! As a retired nurse-midwife, I am familiar witrh medical terminology, and the “statement” yesterday didnāt sound any more credible than the “medical analysis” of Trumpās health from his hippie doctor before the election. Both sound totally written by Trump himself.

In response to Rachelās comment, whoever wrote this obviously does not know the correct format even. The correct format is shown in the inset: statements are never signed Dr. so and so, but always the name, and then the initials for the degree. This is so in academic circles also. This White Houseās ignorance is appalling. I donāt know of any legitimate doctor who would use the word “exceptionally” in a diagnosis. They do not make subjective judgments like this. But, many people will be taken in, Iām sure.

Aloha Tod ohana! Reporting in on the missle threat this morning. Lots of talk and issues raised, but mostly it was a sober reminder that there is no shelter. Parking under the freeway, hiding behind a cement block wall, etc- if weāre attacked, weāre incinerated immediately. So just get on with your good-byes.
Also, of course, it would be best if the alert system worked better. Apparently, weāll see some action on that front.
Most importantly, we are all glad that the president of record was playing golf and couldnāt be bothered by the fact that the residents of the 50th state were panicked and horrified by the news that we were under attack. Presumably, our being a blue state allowed him to shrug off any concerns. Happily, he didnāt use this as an opportunity to retaliate, ala Dr Strangelove.
Again, weāre reminded of how vulnerable we actually are, with such a vile idiot in charge.
