Welcome, Good Morning, and hurry up Chips Chica!
Did you see the site with nice, clear pics that Debra provided?
http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Barack+Obama/President+Obama+Tours+Southeast+Asia+Day+1/ChvpIH04OdV
Oh Chipsie baby, you were already up and gathering pictures! What a smorgasbord for the eyes, and I don’t have to click an arrow! Man, I truly don’t deserve you, but I sure am not giving you up! THANKS! Thanks and thanks again! 😆 😆
VC, I thought you were going to sleep in a bit,
Good morning early bird, don’t know how to say it in Thai since we’re there, congrats on 1st.
Thanks, SS, I didn’t make it back to bed once I looked in and got hooked.🙄
Great work Chips
Yeah - that last post was getting verrrryyy slow! Good morning!
Beautiful Pictures.
Good Early Morning Ms Chips and TOD family. I see you are on the ball at an early hour.
Isn’t it wonderful to see how other countries look forward to, and are welcoming and in appreciation of PBO? Have a fantabulous day all. Chips……keep off that ankle.please.
Good morning. Honest I was not waiting all morning for this…..
I believe you, OMF. 😉 Have a great Sunday!
thanks, I thought for sure that I would need a good advocate!!!!!
Am half awake trying to follow along. Is the press conference starting yet?
It is now on CNN.
GM Chips beautiful pictures. This is an important trip for President. He looks like is enjoying the scenery.
Goooood morning! TY Chips!
Good morning, TODville.
What a beautiful and exciting trip for all of us. Thanks so much for the photos and livestream!!
The press conference is on CNN.
Wow, chips, that is quite a description of the Thailand guy, a real mouthful. I had a little trouble with the pronunciation. (but only I know that)
Great photos—-watching PBO speaking now on CNN.
Wow. Lovely photos!
Good Morning….is it my imagination or does PBO look younger?….
G’morning Chips, TOD, lurkers, everyone!!
These pictures are GORGEOUS!!! Watching my President live right now.
Good Sunday Morning TOD!
Chips the pictures are wonderful and our President is looking rested and handsome.
Good morning Chips and special good morning to the TOD pajama party group who stayed up and tweeted photos of PBO in Thailand last night. Or early morning, or yesterday????
There is that famous PBO smile that people all over the world look forward to seeing. Following PBO on these trips is at the top of my list of all PBO sightings. Thanks so much Chips for always being there for us. We would have missed much of these trips if you had not been such a gracious hostess and tour guide. When PBO and FLOTUS went on their first trips to England and Europe, I was all over the web looking for pictures and articles from news services and the foreign press (the national media had barely a mention). I feel completely spoiled now because of the beautiful job that you do here.
MSNBC does not think the press conference is worthy of coverage.
They carried it until the Q&A
Watching the press conference. Been following the U.S. Embassy pictures and they’ve been awesome with the updates. Just saw on the news that when Pres. Obama and Sec. Clinton visited the Monk, Pres. Obama was talking with the Monk and told the Monk jokingly to pray for him because he’s about to go into tough negotiations regarding the fiscal cliff.
Where was the thai pm at the airport ? Doesn’t protocol demand that she be there ?
She met him in the official welcoming event at the government house.
She’s the head of government, not the head of the country. On an officical visit, he should be met by the King’s rep and the US Ambassador.
Our President loves Thai food - and so do I!!
CNN cut the presser!!! 😦
Try CNN international
Fox news is Now the only channel carrying the President.
Surprise!
Thx Jovie. Of course I will have to destroy my tv after I watch this. My tv has never stopped on faux news before.
I watched it online. My TV refuses to stop on Fox “News”. I can’t even find it on my tv - I think I hid it and can’t remember how to find it.
I can honestly say that is the first time ever in my whole life I have watched FIXed News—-I was that desperate when CNN cut away. Had to fish around to even find the channel.
Keep the CBS ustream handy - they usually broadcast right to the end of anything that’s being broadcast in the US. And when they film Air Force One departures, the cameraman keeps his camera rolling until the tiniest speck can no longer be seen. He seems to love President Obama.
CNN has cut off Pres. Obama. Fox News is showing the press conference.
Yay for Fox news!
Goodness - I half expected the ground to open up after that post, Jovie!
Lol. Fox news of all places. Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday.
Have to catch up.
CNN just quit the conference.
The U.S. Embassy is also streaming the press conference here.
http://t.co/eLJ63wP3
Bloomberg news.. annoying woman.
g’morning TOD family, Chips & so glad I woke up in time to see Mr. President
Very obvious that they have a free press——tough questions about human rights abuses and struggles with democracy. President Obama always manages to answer in the best way possible. Very diplomatic with the question about Thai food also—-“all of it”, looking forward to the formal dinner there, menu looked great and he’s hungry, bless his heart.
I know - when he said he was hungry, I went “awww”…
Good Morning Chips and my TOD family!!! CNN cut the new presser, and Fox is still carrying it! Wow! Fox is still carrying it because they want to see if our great Presidnet makes any gaffes that they can “distort”, but he will not make any! I think that Sec. Hillary looks so beautiful in that gorgeous blue pantsuit…that color suits her well, and she looks ready to run after a good restful four year span. I just love when these two make the MSM and Fox news look like idiots!!! Lovely, just lovely!! Thanks everyone, and especially Chips for this wonderful site! I may not post all the time, but I come here to just view and read what wonderful comments and pictures of tribute you post each day! I am off to church this wonderful Sunday morning, sending prayers for good health and happiness to all my friends here on TOD! Much love to all!
Ut (AKA Nerdy Wonka) is doing a far better job than Mark Knoller of livetweeting PBO’s presser responses. That is all!
Hahaha…..Thanks.😀
Morning early birds! Will be back later with more from Thailand, see ya then😉
thank you blog Queen Chips
Thank you so much Chips!!! You are the BESTEST of all!!
I like seeing the way that PBO and HIllary interact, especially on trips abroad. She is always smiling and looking so confident and accomplished. The obvious respect and true liking between the two is heart-warming. In good times and in difficult times, they are there for each other; having each other’s back. I believe that one of the many reasons that PBO was so fierce in the second debate when he- who-shall-not-be-named accused PBO and his admin. of misdoings in regard to Bengazi, is that he was defending Hillary and Susan Rice. You do not mess with the women in his life.
So proud of this President! Now going to get some more sleep.
Thank you UT for the great tweets.
Aww….you’re welcome.😀
These photos are a feast for the eyes! PBO looks incredibly handsome and the PM in her exquisite suit is beautiful. I’m in awe of the beauty of that temple-the gold shrine, the flowers are just amazing sights. I feel so proud of our president. To see him making friends and reaching out to the world just makes me feel so good about being an American. And Brava to Sect. Clinton. She has done a brilliant job as a major actor on the world stage and she and PBO look natural together, like old friends. Thank you, Chips, for the great early morning treat and I haven’t even had my first cup of coffee. Woot!!
Today’s remaining events:
8:15AM EST THE PRESIDENT attends an official dinner with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of Thailand
Government House, Bangkok, Thailand

9:45AM EST THE PRESIDENT meets and greets with United States Embassy personnel

GOOOOOOOOOOD Morning, TOD! What a feast for the eyes! Amazing photos:) Look at all that Thai silk and jewel tones everywhere! Beautiful, just beautiful. Look…no shoes! What a great way to wake up…thank you, Chips!
Thank you Chips. No one covers the POTUS and FLOTUS foreign excursions like you do.
That press conference was absolutely excellent. The President is definitely feeling like the President these days - he’s taking no prisoners, and the nonsense questions from the media are knocked down post haste! I could see from his face that he was not amused by that last question from Bloomberg, and that he wouldn’t let it go. I’m glad he answered it fully. I’m not on the same page with the President on the Israel-Gaza affair, but I do like that he answered the question fully, and I know he’s averse to violence unless it’s a last resort, so I know he’s doing everything he can with a difficult situation to make sure it doesn’t turn even worse.
This Thailand trip was definitely worth staying up all night (nearly) for. With that - I’m off to bed. Good night/morning all!
I’m looking forward to the day—-when an American president doesn’t have to automatically answer Middle East questions in that exact same way—-a more inclusive, balanced view.
Yes, it’s infuriating. I don’t think Netanyahu represents the majority of the Israeli people, just as Hamas doesn’t represent the majority of the Palestinian people. It’s just heartbreaking to see innocent lives being used in this political game of chicken, especially the children. It’s impossible to see where these men think this can lead, when neither side respects or sees value in the lives of the other side, and are prepared to escalate to prove their points. It cannot end well. War never does. Why they can’t just sit down and talk - and it’s all over a piece of land??! It is just mind-boggling.
Agree wholeheartedly.
I wasn’t on the same page w/ him with Israel either. I wish we didn’t have to defend them so ferociously. Palestinian children are dying. I really do not like Bibi at all.
I can’t tolerate Netanyahu, and I feel like this whole escalation is contrived to get him out of the bed he put himself in when he was cozying up to Mitt. Karma will sort him out, but I wish 53 Palestinians, and counting, didn’t have to be caught in the cross-fire. And that the President didn’t have to deal with this fiasco, as well as everything else.
Theo I admire your stamina! And I fully agree with what you said about that stupid question from Bloomberg. Have a good “night’s” rest
Thanks - ok, I’m really going now. Not peeking again for at least two hours.
LOL! G’nite Theo. Sleep tite. Don’t let Mark Knoller bite.
Good morning peeps! Chips, you’ve outdone yourself again with the great photos! Thank you. There’s a great arrival video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EYEStYW8R7g
Good morning, TOD! Chips has out done herself this morning. What fabulous pictures. My, Oh My, but our President looks absolutely yum.., I mean Presidential!
Oh wow, this old heart can’t take too much of this er…presidentialness.
Going to church. Will emerge when I am once again acting my age.
Thanks again, Chip. You make us so happy, and PBO and SOS Clinton make us so proud.
Oh, Eve, there’s absolutely no fun acting your age. If I had to do that all the time, all I would be left to look at is old men. Nuts to that.
Better go make breakfast, and maybe preparations for dinner. Have yourselves a great Sunday morning Chips and TODobots, and TOD visitors!
Vc I’m ready for breakfast (that you made). This must be your “PBO-in-Burma” Special? I’ll have a little of everything.
Pancakes
Eggs
Bacon
Sausage
Fruit
Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Chives, carrots, broccoli
Orange Juice
Coffee
French Toast
smoked salmon
Freshly baked rolls
Thanks for preparing such a feast!!
Oh dear, Hf, I hope you’re not still awaiting breakfast? I didn’t see your request in time and have already eaten and cleaned up. I do have juice in the fridge though, and it can be freshly squeezed from the carton, no problem. Will that help?
So that’s what happened. But don’t worry at all dear VC. Tomorrow’s another day! Now you can get to work.

I’m having but a superficial moment: Our President is also nice to look at which is partly why people are drawn to events involving him…
He is nice to look at, true, but his countenance reflects his character, compassion, and caring. Plus he has a megawatt and totally genuine smile. AND his is filled with vitality! All of this draws others to him as well. I love our President (my husband understands, bless his heart, that’s why I love him too!)
He’s the total package as you said - His character and humanity far more than his appearance. It was just the superficial side of me having a brief moment there…
Yes. That’s why I hate when the WH just has audio for his events. I need to SEE his gorgeous self.😀
The This PM is so beautiful!
Doggone spell check, ‘This’ s/b ‘Thai’
Great pictures! I agree with the earlier comment upstream - PBO DOES look younger and Hillary looks great too. They seem lighter somehow. Ooohh I’m dying to see to press conference - I love that PBO can slap down stupid qiestions now. You know what else I’m looking forward to - PBO and the whole family going to the Olympics in Rio - all of them and maybe Mrs Robinson too! No one can tell them or guilt them into what they can or cannot do anymore. PBO really does seem liberated.
PBO probably sees echoes of the faces of his childhood in The faces of the Thai people that are around him. He proudly describes himself as our first Pacific president.
One of the many things that I love about PBO is that he is not an insular, culturally ignorant xenophobe like too many of our past presidents and other members of our govt. Mostly by himself, he is erasing the picture of the Ugly American. God has truly blessed us to have him and not the awful, inept, and morally bankrupt R and R.
Could not agree more, Ceb:)
well said, ceb!
What lovely pictures to wake up to this morning! The Thai Prime Minister is beautiful. But I am a little concerned with the way she is looking at PBO! She better be careful. FLOTUS is watching too!
My thought too, but then, how can she help herself? We can’t!😆
I think she’s just in awe. She has seen him in pics and can’t believe she’s meeting and talking to the man himself. She’s pinching herself in her mind. I think she will be okay, bless her heart!
I know you could be just joking Lb4Obama. How about it’s possible she has no interest in PBO in that way, believe it or not that isn’t the only thing on women’s mind.
Too bad that the echo in the room made it hard to understand his explanation….but thanks for posting this anyway…the first I’ve seen. I missed the press conference…
Not to brag, but been there, done that. Bangkok is amazing. At first I didn’t think they had to take off their shoes, but then I noticed they did. Us regular tourists had to stay behind a rope. It is totally amazing. I do wonder what The President and SS Clinton will think about the poverty. Maybe they will wisk them around it. I can’t imagine how the motorcade will be able to get anywhere in the streets. It is amazingly crowded there. These pictures really make me wish I was there! Thanks.
It is so nice to be able to watch Sunday Morning and to know that I no longer need to mute to avoid mentions of he-who-shall-not-be-named and the awful lying commercials that Fl. Was bombarded with during the campaign. I can now enjoy tv.
They showed a glimpse of PBO as he walked with delightful swagger down the red carpet at the Thai airport.
Good morning y’all! Joining in for a cuppa, then out. Then back, then gone again! One day the plot will differ, but maybe not this day! {{{{{PBO}}}}}. {{{{{HRC}}}}}. {{{{{CHIPS}}}}}. {{{{{TOD}}}}}
(((Pamela)))
wonder what it is….
i see Frum is on UP….whyyyyyyyyyy….if you believe his statement that you cannot negotiate with Hamas,,,there will not be a Peace betwwen the Paletinians and Israel…sounds alot the old statement that was said that one cannot have peace with Arafat…
I know of general things,,,but what really happened to bring this situation to the boiling point…i was not focused on this conflict…i was tuned to the election…and it did not seem to be on the radar of the MSM…
this dynamic always seem to exist….i must say that my main concern is that i do not want our country to be drawn into another war…
I’m with you on Frum being on UP. Frum’s contribution to the Middle East discussion was nonsense. He knows less about that topic than he knows about the crap that’s going on in his party. He’s just the same as the rest of his GOP brethren. He pretends to be moderate when he really isn’t. Throws around big words to pretend he’s modern and forward thinking. He has some good ideas, but when you peel them back and really examine where he comes from, it’s the same nonsense. I watched him on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday and he was spouting gibberish.
Goooooooooood Morning MsChipssssss….GM TOD…
What beautiful pics…,,,,,
it is somewhat of a culture shock to trun on the TV to see lil mention of the President’s visit to Asia….but come here and see such beautiful pics of a historic visit…
to turn on UP and sss Frum…sprout his stuff…smh
why do so-called liberal pundits always seek to dilute the message…
It’s really outrageous!
Good Morning Everyone! Oh my goodness these pictures are beautiful! I scrolled down the page, each one brought out a bigger squeal than the next! I was groggy when I logged on, but after that, definitely not any more! 😀
The tweets from journalists about what’s occurring in Gaza are horrific. Tweet after tweet of dead bodies and dead children being pulled out of the rubble. UK Prime Minister Cameron said if Israel begins a ground offensive, they will not have the full backing of the world. It’s horrific. A huge catastrophic mess and Bibi’s constant tweets egging and bullying Palestinians is disgusting.
Yes, it’s absolutely horrific. Just read about pulling 3 more dead kids out of the rubble in the last 15 minutes. Have seen photos of understandably distraught mothers holding their dead, bloody babies. How is this action a solution to anything? It’s barbaric.
Okay, I was a bit hyperbolic calling the lack of coverage of PBO’s trip outrageous. This loopsided “war” or rather, slaughter, is actually outrageous.
It’s not because of the Gaza events that PBO’s trip isn’t being covered. The media is still talking about Patraeus and Susan Rice more than anything else - including the horrific events in Gaza.
Thanks for all your posts about this gross injustice UT. I agree with you 1000% but I am devastated that PBO has to look the other way whilst Israel bullies and butchers its way through Gaza. I know its the same for every US President but its heartbreaking and shameful.
The truth is - we don’t know what is going on behind the scenes where PBO is concerned. And I for one don’t believe PBO is simply “looking the other way” just because he has to maintain a good relationship with Israel.
True - we don’t know what is going behind the scenes but the Palestinians in Gaza are getting absolutely hammered and the official response coming out of the Whitehouse and PBO’s comments at the presser are in line with the usual US ‘look the other way’ when Israel kills, bombs and land grabs. That’s just a historical fact. See desertflowers excellent link to Juan Coles piece below. If people are outraged perhaps it might be helpful if they sent on word of their concerns as LOYAL supporters to PBO. What is happening is a disgrace and the fact that PBO is in charge doesn’t make it any less unjust or criminal.
“but the Palestinians in Gaza are getting absolutely hammered and the official response coming out of the Whitehouse and PBO’s comments at the presser are in line with the usual US ‘look the other way’ when Israel kills, bombs and land grabs.”
Again, that is YOUR interpretation based on incomplete information.
And most of your comments on this issue so far seem to be mostly about your frustration with the President’s and/or WH’s response which is why I posted this comment - that we do not know what the President knows and why he made those comments. We are still getting a very incomplete picture of the situation.
Furthermore, I have never said or implied that “PBO’s being in charge makes anything less unjust or criminal.” Just as I refrained from jumping to conclusions when the initial Benghazi reports were coming out, so will I refrain from doing so now. Despite the numerous tweets and other “reports” from Gaza, I know very little about what is actually going on. An image on Twitter is not proof of anything. It may be propaganda - and I simply do not know enough to make hasty conclusions about the President’s reaction or comments at this time.
Chants of “Obama! Obama!” from adoring crowds in the streets there. Moved by the account of a 67 yr. old grandmother who took a bus, a river ferry and walked roads closed for security to try to get a glimpse of our president.
“It’s meaningful that Obama came straight to Wat Pho,” said Pradab Supradit, a 67-year-old Thai grandmother who took a bus, a river ferry and then walked up roads closed for security hoping to glimpse the man or just see his convoy. “It will bring him blessings because temples are at the center of Thai people’s hearts.”
“I want to see him with my own eyes,” she said. “I like Obama because of his charisma and personality. He’s a smart guy. I love the way he talks.”
The World Loves our President as well….
*I love the way he talks.*
Yep.
thanks for these quotes, donna. i was also feeling the importance of pbo going straight from the airplane to the temple. everything he does on these trips is scripted and meaningful-i love that he is making this clear statement of respect for the culture, the history, and the heart of the people. it’s not just about trade, security, regional power. he’s making friends with the people of thailand, as well as with the government.
Hope this works, this is so cool!
😳 will send to Chips. Pic of two AF1’s getting ready to leave AAFB.
Good morning! I made it to the President’s arrival last night/this morning and then lights out. Had to rely on TOD as no CNN or MS NBC coverage. Amazing pictures Chips. Thanks. You are ah mazing!
One tidbit - Thai King Bhumibol is the the world’s longest-serving monarch.
Why the frick did Israel start this shit up again? What’s wrong with that ‘Nut? And that stupid dome prevents him from feeling the consequences of what he’s wrought. SMH. Horrible.
It’s because he’s up for re election and if he talks about social issues he will be voted out so he is doing this to rally the country behind him. They also took out the Hamas leader who was trying to NEGOTIATE - so clearly they don’t want accommodation. No - they are using the ‘Wag the Dog’ strategy. Sadly, the uS is going along. I can’t imagine that PBO could bear to see the carnage - I hope he has a plan to deal with that monster Bibi - but remember that the exact same thing happened JUST after the 08 election when there was another leader in Israel - so one just can’t blame Bibi. It’s a disgusting, cynical strategy for reelection and humiliation/subjugation of the Palestinians. This will not end well - not for Israel, the Us or the world.
It’s a disgusting, cynical strategy for reelection and humiliation/subjugation of the Palestinians. This will not end well – not for Israel, the Us or the world.,,,,,,,,,,,,
i do not pretend to know the intimate details of the struggles of the Palestinian peoples…
i have an open question….
If the Israel did not have he US as a strong ally….would there have more serious negotiations….just suppose our country had been alligned with the Palestiinian People instead….how would that have changed the equation….
If the US did not support Israel so unequivocally there would likely have been accommodation reached some time ago. Until there is an honest broker nothing will be done. i am no expert but that seems to be the consensus amongst those middle East scholars who take an objective view of the conflict. PBO tried to lay down the line on settlements in 09 and got slapped down by Bibi. He went out of his way to reassure powerful members of the Jewish lobby pre election (Ed Koch, Bloomberg, etc) even sending Rahm down to Florida to ‘reassure’ Jewish voters. i doubt he’s going to take a tough stance now but I would be happy to be proven wrong.
I wonder,,,,
If this will be the legacy that PBO will achieve in his 2nd term….reshaping the balance of power in the Middle East,,,,,the slaughter of children and the enslavement of a people cannot continue….i heard that there is a Peace Movement in Israel…how widespread is it…
At some point, the Arab nations in the region also have to take responsibility for negotiating peace. I am horrified by Israel’s stance here, and watching to see what President Obama does (although, we probably won’t see what is likely going on behind the scenes). But, I certainly don’t lay the blame at President Obama’s feet - given that this peace struggle has been going on for generations. The Arab nations need to figure out how to support Palestine and give them enough leverage in these negotiations. Netanyahu clearly is not interested in peace. I believe the President wants to help negotiate peace. I believe most of the people of both Israel and Palestine want peace. And I believe the Arab leaders - many of whom are new since the Arab Spring - want peace so they can get on with the business of rebuilding their countries. This is not down to President Obama, and he is in a difficult public position.
It’s horrific. Both sides over the years have contributed to this catastrophic tragedy but in this latest conflict, Israel through Netanyahu is taking this just a step too far. When you have world leaders telling Israel that they will have no backing if they initiate a ground offensive, it’s serious. Tweets after tweets from journalists show that Gaza is getting the brunt of this mess with children dying every minute and parents having to pull out their dead children from the rubble. Innocent lives on both sides are being destroyed, Israel’s IDF and Netanyahu are busy tweeting about what they’ll do next as though this is all a game, Hamas is responding with more missile fire, and innocents are caught in the middle. It’s disheartening to watch people who calls themselves adults perpetuate this distressing tragedy.
Yes it’s so awful. For me, personally, I don’t buy the ‘both sides do it’ argument. It’s kinda the same argument that the Republicans used during the election season - yeah, sometimes the Dems were mean but PBO never out and lied like Mitt and Ann nor did the Dems try to cheat by blocking the vote. That’s how I’ve always felt about the Middle East conflict - the Israeli response is always disproportionate - I don’t think it’s right or fair to put the Palestinian resistance on the same level as the Israeli occupation - it just isn’t the same and it never has been.
Bravo !!
YUM! Mark Knoller is drooling big time…
He’s not the only one.
I’m drooling.
You and me.
My own off the top of my head reason for Bebe starting trouble now……he thinks the President was distracted with the campaign, and he could slip something by us. He doesn’t realize that the President keeps many balls in the air at the same time…..he is not a linear thinker or doer.
I am so glad the campaign is over, and people will realize once again that our President is in charge of what’s going on. I think other countries too get distracted by shiny objects, like the campaign. They do so at their peril. Too many of them believed the same polls Romney did.
http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/111812_joint_press_statement_president_pm.html
Shinawatra. That must be Thai for Sinatra. I like her already.
Well that and the fact she’s a knockout.
What a life it must be for Mr Souza….i cannot wait to hear his tales after 2016….
will he remain the WH photographer in the 2nd term?
OK. I just rolled out of bed late and checked in to see what’s happening in Thailand. The first thing that grabs my attention is the stunning young woman who’s walking around with the President and then I come to find out that she’s the Prime Minister. Wow!
Now I’ll go catch up.
She is lovely, in every sense of the word. Petite and beautiful and gracious in manner.
President Obama-Thai PM Yingluck Press Conference
Wow. She’s gorgeous.
Ha!
You ask tough questions dudette!
Good Morning Chips and my TOD Family. This is lovely to have on a beautiful morning on the West Coast.
Thank you Chips for making your elegant entrance with our wonderful POTUS and SOS.
I am so grateful to see Sec. Clinton with her president. They are such a wonderful team. I pray that they will both enjoy the trip as history is being made again by both of them. We are the receivers of of such beauty, brilliance, and such natural elegance in our president. He was born to be our President of these United States.
Everyone have a lovely Sunday. I am also elated because my lovely brother is also there. What a beautiful blessing in two wonderful human beings.
Thanks so much, Chips. You are such an angel to all of us, and we love you dearly.HZ
Your brother is in Thailand, or with the President?
Both, DF. It is an honor.HZ
To be sure!!!
Lucky brother…for so many many reasons! One is to have a sister like you:)
Toddler great grandson visiting here. Spongebob Squarepants is on one TV or another, 24/7. I’d STILL take an animated cartoon over that lapdog.
LOve Me some Dudetteeeeeeeeeee…..😀
Awww thanks, pf! I loves me some prettyfoot58 too!
Bob Schieffer let McCain go on and on about his Benghazi conspiracy theories and never asked him why he missed the closed Congressional hearing.
Bob needs to go the same place McCain needs to go. The sooner the better. Both as useless as tits on a boar
For sure. And his voice is hard to listen to - I wonder how he ever got to be on tv.
Who knows:) Your guess is as good as mine:)
desertflower they both need to go to a retirement home.
John McCain is a embarrassment to this country and so is his little sidekick from South Carolina.
forus50 - Your tweet has to be one of the best today - or any day! Thanks!
lol thanks jboomer! I think some didn’t realize it was snark or read the hashtag as I was disappointed it didn’t get any retweets. 😦
Everyone else is actually working at governing. Maybe Mcshame should have been attending the meetings on the Bengazi investigations instead of being the media whore. He is like the pitiful, booty-call girl that anyone can call at the last minute. He does not understand the phrase”familiarity breeds contempt.” He has no relevance; this old man should just go home.
Easy. Watch McCain’s press appearance on Friday. It was a the picture of swatted bottom.

hopefully big bird is driving him to canada. i hear some folks just leave their unwanted pets on the side of the road sometimes……..

Another one bitter because she is ignored so she acts like a spurned lover. This is another one who has stayed at the party too long.
she has a bit of the Ann Coulter mean girl vibe to her
https://twitter.com/NJedwina/status/270168428424347651
What a wonderful way to start a Sunday morning. Got up early to see photos but then I went back to bed. I should have stayed here instead of watching MTP where Lindsay…saynothing..Graham continued to belch out mean girl rhetoric. He sounds so immature. Thanks for the beautiful pics and links all who contributed.
Chips - Thanks so much for the lovely photos for us latecomers. The first photo of Secretary Clinton shows her looking perhaps the calmest and happiest and loveliest I’ve seen her looking in a while! Maybe because the President’s in the group!
The pictures from the Asia trip are AWESOME. So cool!! THANK YOU CHIPS, you’re awesome too!!! Those scenes of PBO and Secretary Clinton make us boundlessly proud again to be Americans. FINALLY we’re represented on the global stage with the face of intelligence, compassion, inclusion, diplomacy and reason. I could keep going! We all could go on and on!!! (And we do!)
Can someone please explain the 180 degrees of this statement from Tom Price about increasing taxes….anyone??

Thank you so very much. What a wonderful treat to wake up to.
Good Morning Chips! Good Morning TOD!
What beautiful pictures from Thailand! My President looks smashing — intelligent and curious as always. I’m loving Hillary, too — she looks lovely and rested. They make a great team and represent us so well on the international stage. I couldn’t be prouder.

Thanks for the pics and vids; have finally caught up! Love pics of PBO & SoS at Wat Pho; I visited there in 2004.
Excellent article by Norbrook on the decline of the NetRoots: http://cendax.wordpress.com/2012/11/17/the-problem-was-shallow-roots/
Great piece, Tien Le. He said what we have been saying all along….
Good morning Ms. Chips and TOD. As usual Ms. Chips the pictures are beautiful. I haven’t listened to the press conference, but I will as soon as I can. Thank you so much.
BANGKOK — Even in the temples of far off Asia, President Barack Obama cannot escape thoughts of that fiscal cliff back home.
Touring the Wat Pho Royal Monastery in Bangkok, a sprawling compound of temples, gardens and man-made waterfalls, Obama was overheard chatting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton… Clinton made a reference to budget negotiations back in Washington… “Yes,” Obama replied. “We’re working on this budget. We’re going to need a lot of prayer for that.” …

I wonder if a woman leader will be next in this country, it seems alot of other countries is ahead of the United States.
Thanks guys for all your recent retweets. Here’s an ‘eye candy’ or ‘full of pride’ video of the President and SOS Clinton, since I don’t know what’s being said.
