I thank PBO also. I get so sick of hearing these republican say that PBO hasn’t reached out. Richard sat there and did not push back.

      • October 16, 2013 at 10:30 pm

Yeah. I wanted to scream at the TV. Chris Shays was very forceful in his comment and none of them said not one word to correct him. URRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!

And they always want to make Johnson, Saint Reagan, and Tippy O’Neal the Greatest ever to work with the other party. I get so tired of their crap. President Barack H. Obama is who he is, and damn them, we love him just the way his core is as our president.

These foolish old white dried up prunes always want to use their “hey boy” attitude toward this president, and I resent that crap. Tweety is always singing and spitting this crap. I know POB would love to tell them to STFU, but he will not, so I will say it for him.

I love our president just the brilliant man and president that he is and always will be. They just have to STFU and live with. Case closed,

Thank you, Mr. President for standing tough and not moving for these angry old men. We are going to be fine. Ms. Nancy Pelosi will get our gavel again. That has to be a goal for all of us.

And congrats to Senator-elect Cory Booker. He will also need our continued prayers and thoughts. I do not trust Christie as far as I can see him and that is a pretty wide range for me.

Good night my Chips and my beautiful TOD family. Remember we have strength together, we have power to make things better together; we have compassion to help heal the wounded; and we have love and respect to help our President move FORWARD. I trust our president.

May Almighty give our president wisdom, comfort, rest, courage, a clean heart and a right spirit in all of his dealings with these people; and a loving spirit for those who are hurting and need so much help to get back to work with a hope that is sweet, gentle, pure, and strong. We will stand with our fellow citizens to help make their lives better.

Enjoy your evening TOD family and remember to be gentle with your spirits; kind with your words, and gracious to those who come into your space. Life is very precious, but we have the ability to live it more gracefully each day on this wonderful journey. We will prevail with kind hearts, gentle spirits, and hard working hands and steady feet. Pray, meditate, and put beautiful thoughts into your spaces.
(((((()))))))))) I love my TOD family and our wonderful President.HZ

Bringing this over from last thread. Bob and some others: I really would like your insight and feedback.

My question from last thread–found this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/10/obamacare-pre-existing-condition-fee_n_2273005.html. Husband is in bed (early get up for hike) so can’t ask him, but am guessing this is what he read. Had the amount wrong. Notice it was written in December. I read entire thing carefully. Suppose I can see why (some) companies are upset, but considering the big picture, long-range picture, the fact that it decreases over time, then ends…..well, as someone said on other thread “How about paying the CEO (and other principles) a bit less.”? After you all read this, please share your thoughts. Want to share this w/husband (He is so opposed to Obamacare) and would love some of your insight to share with him. 🙂 Thanks, friends.

And I remember why I haven’t watch pundits/msnbc for two months. gag.

Okay, this is a case of ‘we won’t forget’. We take this outrage and stoke our energy and channel it to giving PBO the Congress he needs and deserves in 2014.

Thanks, Dudette…I see that MY congressman thinks that defaulting and shutting the govt down is a FINE thing! More worried about his KOCH $$$ and his SCORE from the Heritage Action than his constituents. I’ll be giving him a piece of my mind.

My stupid congressman voted against it too….Lankford, OK. I’ve already written him. One of five in OK voted for it…Tom Cole. He’s the only one with any sense at all. And yes, our Senator, Coburn voted against the bill. I’ve also written him. I’ve written both of these two guys rather regularly. Inhofe didn’t vote because he’s still home recovering from open heart surgery. So, I’m only embarrassed twice instead of three times. sign…..
Well, won’t be around for two or three days. Leaving early tomorrow morning, flying to Boston for my college homecoming…..looking forward to it, and so glad this whole situation is taken care of!
Talk to you all Saturday or Sunday. Have a great weekend!

I got back from Zumba to hear the vote passed the Senate and House, yippee!! I understand that Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Rafael Cruz all voted no. What do they have in common, you ask? Think 2016…..

McTurtleDove will be heavily primaried by Bevin, a teanutbutter baggie. If Turt eeks through the primary which shouldn’t be a problem, he’ll have an uphill battle to beat his Dem challenger.

Go PBO, he tried to tell them, they wouldn’t listen, they didn’t think fat meat was greasy.

Video of congressional stenographer losing it on the House floor. She’s probably working without pay and just cracked.

    • October 16, 2013 at 11:03 pm

Or she’s a brainwashed nutjob who should be no where near keeping records for our gov.

    • October 16, 2013 at 11:03 pm

I don’t think so UT. I grew up in a family who liked conspiracy theories. She’s a religious nut. There were several Founding Fathers and signers of the Declaration of Independence that were Free Masons. There are so many nutty ideas about them. She was also ranting about this being a nation of God and I think she said the bill wouldn’t have been signed if people believed in God. I couldn’t understand very well. I don’t think she cracked at all. GOP Wingnut.

WASHINGTON — WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate has confirmed the daughter of slain President John F. Kennedy to be U.S. ambassador to Japan.

Caroline Kennedy won the Senate’s unanimous endorsement late Wednesday shortly after it voted to end a partial shutdown of the government and extend its borrowing authority.
