Everyone try to stay up to see Jimmie Kimmel’s after the Oscars show. He has something planned that will feature many of the actors. You know that it will be outrageous.

Wow. They really dropped the ball. Dumbest and stupidest tweet of the night.

Rolling Stone thinks that if you’re Black, you’re automatically African-American.

No. We’re not all alike. He’s British. Celebrate that and give him his due credit.

Congrats to 12 Years a Slave on winning best picture. Well deserved. And congrats to Alfonso Cuaron on winning best director for Gravity.

That moment Huffington Post shows us that it will always win the douchebag award. Especially when it comes to racist tweets.

Academy Awards show followed my day of discovery. I made my first pot of fresh pasta today in my new automatic pasta maker. It turned out great, but involved a lot more time than the twenty minutes from start to finish advertised. I liked the idea of putting the ingredients in and watching the pasta strands roll out. It requires adjustments to get the dough to the right consistency. Now that I know how to do it I should be able to get closer to the advertised time table.

ONE of these days I will make fresh pasta.

My son was “addicted” to making his own fresh pasta at one point in his life. Just a little warning! He was serving it to his family every meal, for a while there … just so he could roll it out. Ha!

I know watching it roll out was kind of amazing. I am thinking of mixing it with veggies like tomatoes, onions, zuchinni, peppers, a little olive oil and grated Parmesan cheese rather than the American version with meat and cheese.

“Russia’s central bank unexpectedly raised its policy interest rate sharply to 7% from 5.5% previously, effective Monday morning. The Bank of Russia’s move came as the Russian ruble plunged to record lows following Moscow’s intervension in Ukraine, with the U.S. dollar hitting an all-time high of 37.00 rubles, and the euro setting its own record of 50.99 rubles, according to Dow Jones Newswires.”

No matter what Bank of Russia does, until they sideline Putin and start behaving like responsible members of the 21st Century, their economy is going to suffer gravely.

Could not be more thrilled with the fact that the Academy recognized “12 Years a Slave” with Best Picture. They did well.

Just saw this as I was about to depart. Desperately need some sleep thought the next several hours are when the world learns if Putin has any capacity for responsible action, if those around him decide he needs to be curtailed, or …. 3 3 2014 will be a historic day, of that I have little reason to doubt.

Take care TOD … ’til we meet again ….
