Nickelby is ALWAYS changing the channel on me. I swear he zeroes on on that remote, no matter where it is on the sofa. And then he’ll get grouchy if I try to move him to free the remote from his channel surfing.
Sometimes. His particular trick is to wait until the end of a mystery, then change the channel so I don’t know who the murderer is. He’s a master. He then feigns confusion - why am I mad at him just for coming on the sofa to snuggle? “After all, I’m just a dog.” Yeah, right.
Kasper has pulled down the lining off from under the sofa and loosened all the staples. Poor Pearl had a gash in her back.
I have magic medicine - Vetricyn - Wound Care. They also make a Hot Spot medication that is amazing - Kasper gets hot spots easily and this stuff keeps him off a lot of medications with side effects. File it away. I seriously recommend having a bottle of this stuff. I think you can find it on Amazon. Some pet stores carry it.
Correction: Vetericyn - Wound & Infection Care. And their Hot Spot med, although the wound & infection care works for the hot spots too. Seriously, dog owners - this stuff is great.

Morning, when the location of the presidential library is finally decided, I honestly think there should be a room dedicated to TOD, dating back to the first day. I can’t think of a more comprehensive review of each day and hour of President Obama’s two terms. Imagine what it would be like if there were anything like this for other presidents and how happy that would make historians. Does anyone else think this would work?
Tn, to make it happen, we will need to find out the library location and then the primary director, chairman name. Then we would all have to petition that person. Of course, it means Chips has to be willing to give over her digital files, but it would sure be for a good cause. The information, insights and references on this site are historical gold and I can’t even imagine anything more comprehensive-not even the White House website.
The archive of this website (including comments that have invaluable links to “obscure” articles about the First Family and concurrent events — to establish context [especially the ridiculous GOP responses and the shameful parroting by the MSM]) is must for any scholar doing research on the Obama Administration.
Someone with good database skills could create one for interactive use by the general public (which would far exceed GWBush’s feeble attempt at interactive engagement in Texas).
Given PBO’s consistency, my guess is that The Obama Presidential Library will be free to the public (modeled after the free National Museums in DC, e.g., The Smithsonian, etc.) which would draw even more domestic and International visitors, and be a boon to both Hawaii and Illinois tourism — another of my guesses is that there will be two Obama Presidential Libraries — can’t snub Chicago, and visitors from Asia will flock to Hawaii’s library.

1) Chuck Todd/NBC’s “Obama’s done” (sent yesterday at 8:27AM) - now has 16 retweets, 4 favorites
2) Nerdy Wonka’s “Obama’s laughing at Chuck” response (sent yesterday at 9:54AM) - now has 190 retweets, 114 favorites
3) Donna’s “For the record Chuck Todd” response (sent last night at 8:24PM) - now has 108 retweets, 61 favorites.
As would be expected, no one on TOD has anything close to NBC’s 103K followers…and yet their responses got FAR more spontaneous retweets in a shorter amount of time. Any questions?
Perhaps I haven’t fully been paying attention. But I thought that Obama’s presidency was over because he failed to adequately address the financial crisis after he became president. Didn’t Chris Matthews and Chuck Todd repeatedly tell us in 2012 that no president had ever been re-elected with unemployment above 8%?
1. Or was Obama’s presidency over when Healthcare Reform didn’t initially pass in 2009?
2. Or maybe his presidency ended during the “Arab Spring”?
3. Or was it during the BP oil spill (aka “Obama’s Katrina”)?

Thanks JER, watching now. I am amazed at President Obama’s stamina. He just keeps going and going and going and doing and doing and doing for the American people. I am expecting another year of action video at the end of the second quarter. He is getting so much done without the help of congress. Meanwhile, the Republicans in the senate are making speeches blaming President Obama for the problems in Iraq. smdh
Hillary is in Los Angeles today for a book signing… the local all-news radio station @knx1070 is providing full coverage, but it’s not something I can stomach listening to — all about 2016, and here at TOD, our focus is on #LandslideDems2014.
The other top news story here is about the consistency downward trend of new unemployment claims. Anecdotally, EVERY fast food and retail store that I’ve been to recently has a “Now Hiring” sign, and appear to be desperate to hire new employees. After the GWB 2008 meltdown, tons of retailers closed here (affluent exurbia, where the rich got richer and everyone else suffered). For instance, the car dealerships that line the Ventura freeway here went through major upheaval — we no longer have a Nissan dealership (my car brand), replaced by a Rolls-Royce/Bentley dealership, which underscores how well GOP trickle-down economies work (not).
It will be a long time before I forgive WJC (repeal Glass-Steagall) or GWB for what they did to the US economy and the regular joes of the middle-class.
However, it looks like the SoCal economy is poised for takeoff, which is great and encouraging news.
