FURST!!
Thanks for the laughs Nerdy.
You’re welcome, Jackie.
:star: J4O!
Congrats!
We can use a laugh. Thanks!
Great! You’re welcome, Vetivera24.
GE Folks!
…the walk back begins (I noted last night that when Reggie Miller, Barkley, the NCAA, and Big10 Championship games boycotts started…this was inevitable. Today Seattle’s mayor said no state employees can travel to Indiana and now Angie’s List CEO (former Gov. Mitch Daniels 2004) campaign head said they would no longer expand thier HQ….Pence finally got the message…..can’t wait to see what his “clarification” language will be.
OK, time to watch the Kentucky/Notre Dame game!!
typical shoot first, ask later, rw’er/teabagger
Congrats Jackie! I see vetivera was a very close 2nd :)
NW - you GET humor!!! I’m :D :D :D :D …. Thank you.
BTW, this brought a smile to my face …
… seems folk are having a good time in Lausanne and that is good ….
And you get my brand of humor, Sir Bob. Which is awesome!

‘Why I came to Birmingham’ http://s.al.com/IadDxJd
By President Barack Obama, March 27, 2025
“Earlier this week, I visited Birmingham to speak about what I call “middle-class economics”: the idea that our country does best when everyone gets their fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules. Today, we are in a 60-month streak of private-sector job creation. Our businesses have added 12 million new jobs. Nationwide, the unemployment rate has fallen from 10 percent in 2009 to 5.5 percent today. Our high school graduation rate is at an all-time high. After five years of the Affordable Care Act, more than 16 million uninsured Americans have gained the security of health coverage. And in perhaps the most hopeful sign of all, wages are finally on the rise. This progress is a direct result of American drive and determination. It has been a long, hard road, but America is coming back…continued”
OK, bbl
#NigeriaDecides
Twitter RULES!!!
Polling station after polling station are reporting their results via Twitter :)
The hunger for democracy is irrepressible.
Boko Haram was no match for all those who would not be denied their vote …
I was monitoring the news today and it’s been very encouraging. Person after person saying if they had to wait in line all day, they’d do so; because their vote matters.
Inspiring, for sure, NW.
You know what Bob, Nigeria-and especially the Igbo people- has deep historical traditions of practicing democracy.
Thank you nath for sharing that crucial insight!!!
looks like Indiana’s gov is scrambling to ‘clarify’ his law that legalizes discrimination.
Can’t wait for this to air on BET, Sunday April 5th at 7PM ET.
YAY FLOTUS! I can’t wait to see this!
Her dress is no small statement ….. and, I know she claims she couldn’t do the job, but she’d make an outstanding President. I often have to remind people that she hired PBO :)
Bob, you’re very observant regarding her off-the-shoulder dress :-)
And yes, she did hire Barack once upon a time and trained him too. Smart woman :D
Just imagine what she could do during intense negotiations!
Bobfr :)
That look like Will and Jada Smith standing in front of FLOTUS.
Bobfr, our POTUS and FLOTUS are the best. If FLOTUS had any interest in running for the Senate or anything else, she has my vote. Sorry Hillary. But I know FLOTUS is not into politics.
“I know she claims she couldn’t do the job, but she’d make an outstanding President. I often have to remind people that she hired PBO”
THIS a million times!
:)
Black really does not crack. Look at Jada Pinkett Smith and her mom!!!!!!!
Black Girls, of all ages, including you NW, do indeed rock! I am so thankful that the world got to witness the beauty, smarts, and grace of our First Lady. My grandmother, may she rest in peace, who had such an influence on me, would be very proud of both you and FLOTUS.
Thanks, Nath.
NW, thanks girl, I’ll remember to avoid the Oregon Trail Mix on my next trip to COSTCO :D :D :D

lp, who are you rooting for in this game?
Sorry, I have been on edge….couldn’t move away from the TV….what a game!! I was pulling for UK. I already had Wisconsin in my Final Four along w/ Duke & Virginia (who got bounced early by Michigan St.) I went 26/32 Rd. 1, 12/16 Rd. 2, 6/8 (didn’t have N.C. State & MSU) Rd. 3, now 2/2 & need Duke tomorrow to have 3/4 Final Four teams. I’m currently in the 99%tile out of 13 million brackets
“LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Iran’s chief diplomat said on Saturday that he had had productive discussions with his European counterparts and that Iranian negotiators were ready to begin drafting an initial agreement on a nuclear accord.
“I believe that France and Germany are serious about an agreement,” said Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister. “We are ready to draft.”
He sent the same tweet to SoS Kerry.
I agree.
Bob, I too agree with this brilliant statement by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif. This world, which has so many insane and simple minded leaders, it’s so refreshing to see wise leaders like Mr. Zarif, SoS John Kerry and our incredible President.
Great tweets, Nerdy! Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed them. :)
So much so, that when I was scrolling up, distracted here, and saw:

lp, who are you rooting for in this game?
I was looking for the punch line. But don’t tell Tnmtngirl, okay?
My lips are sealed.
psssst…..hey, Tnmtngirl. Have I got a story for yooooooooooooou. ;)

Thanks. You’re freaking awesome, Bob.
You’re welcome, NW. So happy you tweeted it!!
Malia looks so much like her in this shot of Mrs. Obama.
Can not wait to hear FLOTUS speech.
Bob, look at you all motivated to find a great pic of FLOTUS :D
Indeed NW, Indeed!

1. Well, there’s an oxymoron for you, in that headline.

2. I guess the dumbass group wasn’t awarding anything this year.
3. Unlike previous years, there was NO publicity for the 2015 event, held March 4. I wouldn’t advertise that, either.
You would do exactly that, amk!! :D :D :D
Good morning …
Just following her instructions, sir, just following her instructions .
You do live dangerously … at home and and TOD :)
Perfect!
Thanks, Bob!

Thanks Bob and NW!
You’re welcome, Gail :)
Can I thank you too Bobfr and NW? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Of course, bella :)
“Cicely is so beautiful and FLOTUS is stunning.”
Yes Indeed, GGail.
Yet ANOTHER religious freedumb bill passes in Arkansas. This is getting disgusting!
As Jim tweeted, rethugs are far worse enemy than isis.
Wonder how long before somebody R/Ts this or has some random thought to cough up. Ha.
GE TODville.
OMG, can WJC *be* any smarmier????
I’ve mentioned before that I tossed and turned in 2008 at the thought of WJC rattling around the WH with nothing but time on his hands. (However, I was truly TERRIFIED at the thought of McCain/Palin at the helm as the economy nosedived.)
Here’s the quote from the @nytimes article:
“In September 2012, when Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee, spoke at the annual Clinton Global Initiative gathering in New York, Mr. Clinton gave him advice backstage about how to appear in command when facing off against Mr. Obama in their coming debates.”
Hmmm…
This tweet looks different on TOD than it does on twitter — here’s the tweet it links to:
no surprises here. clintons have been for and will always be for 1%ers while feigning interest in 99%ers.
If hrc wins the nom, the rethugs win the wh.
This is one main reason why I am not on board with Hillary, her husband Bill. They played alot of dirty ball in 2008.
This is the same guy who offered to give Paul Ryan tips on passing his budget that would devastate the needy, elderly and common folks.
Yeah, so PBO beat Romney, Clinton and the Koch money!
Exactly - he had to defeat both sides of the equation - and he did it with style
The headline and the story are not a Match.
What did I miss?
I read through have of the article and the WJC’s and Romney’s ‘plotting exchanges” were not clearly defined. Oh well, helped or not, the lying Bishop got exactly what? A resounding defeat in 2012. Case Closed.
This is the kind of stuff we’d have to hear about constantly if HRC runs. Please, no.
Oh right, as if it did Myth any good! Advice from a loser kept him appearing as tho he was crapping his pants. #tiredofallrhingsclinton
Also, too…
yet another bill’s fuck up. pun intended.
Question…
is there a law on those other states’ books that says that any business can discriminate against gay people if it is against their religion..
Although the author has stated that other states have a version of this bill…my state of PA does as well…however my state does not get specific and say that any business can discriminate against gay folks….but the point i want to make is that the bill in PA was passed in 2002…it is now 2015…the landscape is different as it relates to gay rights, marriage equality…etc…the outrage you hear now is because Americans are not tolerating this hatred of gay folks….the mood and climate is different,
Another BS law passed by Clinton…
i meant signed into law
Prettyfoot, either way, you are spot-on. What is ironic to me is that despite Bill Clinton’s promotion of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, (DADT) and his signing of the Defense of the Marriage Act (DOMA), Gay organization still think that Bill and Hillary have done more for gay rights than President Obama.
they are blinded by the color of his skin…
EXACTLY!
PA has such a law.re: so called religious freedom…but is does not give specific right to discriminate against gay folks…or any other folks…although the law is general….it does gives standing to sue the government to someone who feels that a particular law has infringed their religious freedom.
Bill was passed in PA in 2002….many democrats sponsored that legislation..in fact 2002 the Dems controlled the State House…hell there was a DEM in the WH that passed such a law on the Federal level..
The Hypocrisy of these so-called Christians…gaggggs me
“The Hypocrisy of these so-called Christians…gaggggs me”
Prettyfoot, I am with you 100%!
all this goes back to who is in these state houses…and that goes back to who comes out to vote…esp in the mid terms…PA dodged a bullet…with getting Wolf elected…one of the few candidates who welcomed the President campaigning for him
“all this goes back to who is in these state houses…and that goes back to who comes out to vote…esp in the mid terms…
This is so true. We too in CA were fortunate to re-elect Gov. Brown and a majority Democrats in the CA legislature.
Have you changed sides in the cricket yet amk?
NZ 1.23
2/33
Congrats, you friggin’ aussies. You deserved it. A great win for your winning cap’n.
Thanks amk - a somewhat disappointing final given some of the great games that came before. At 3/150 looked like NZ were heading for a great score - big collapse. Was good that in the semi and final we had to play the unbeaten teams from the group stages.
So wish our politics could match our sport. NSW voted for their RW government - cause their premier is a good looking “nice” chap. They completely ignored his policies. Our state which has a minority govt is in trouble because one of the members of same is not such a nice chap & is about to be expelled from the labor party, reducing that minority. Sigh
Yup, it sure was a bummer final. The moment mccullum got bowled, the newzies went into a shell. But that doesn’t take away the fact aussies were great in all 3 depts, bowling, batting and fielding today. Except for a minor hiccup against the same team in the group stages, youse guyz were on a song all through the tournament.
You have two great new talents in mitchell starc and steven smith. They will be the future standard bearers. And to think, your selectors were in ‘two minds’ about these two since they thought both were ‘soft’.
In between rambling on the TV commentators said the average age of the Oz team was 27 - at least 3 years below any of the other teams - bodes well for the future. Smith has had a great season - think he is in the running for captain. I’ve been disappointed in the cricket over many years - but this series showed the game as it should be played. Revived the interest.
Yup. aussies will be the team to beat for near foreseeable future. steven smith sure is captaincy material and he is a classy batsman in the truest cricketing term with a silky touch, unlike the ugly heavers.
gotta run my friend’s daughter’s wedding reception. savior your winning moments. beer is on me. no. no wine.
I’ll take a rain check on the beer - until next time you try to charge me $$$ for whatever. The wedding celebrations I have heard about from friends in India tend to last for days - see you sometime next week :)
OMG. Did anyone hear Andrea Mitchell? Disaster! Huge. Disappointment! Talks are NOT going well! Doom for PO’s foreign policy legacy blah blah blah. Had to change channel.
Tngirl, I don’t know how you stomach Lady Mitchell.
G’morning Nerdy, Chips & TOD! Happy Sunday everyone :)
Good Morning TOD!
