Bernies crowds haven’t come close to approaching PBO’s and everyone knows it. Also Obama’s is way more diverse.
Totally agree with you Jeff about the diversity in PBO crowds. If Sanders’ crowds were diverse, he would probably be polling a lot better.
Totally agree with you cos and Jeff. Bernie Sanders’ crowds are actually more like Sarah Palin’s crowds. Filled with a bunch of angry (mostly white) people - who are motivated for all the WRONG reasons. These “crowds,” fueled largely by anger & hate, a sense of entitlement, impatience and exclusivity, are UNSUSTAINABLE in the long run - as we saw with Ms. Palin’s.
Contrast that with PBO’s crowds which are organically developed, nurtured and sustained by commonsense values, tolerance, patience and inclusion, positive inspiration, a sense of unity with others (regardless of race, color or creed), and hope for a better world for ALL, not just some, with a willingness to WORK to achieve what has been envisioned.
Mark my word: Sanders is going to crash and burn - well before Summer ‘2016, (if it’s not clear that he has lost the nomination), he will be announcing his decision to drop out of the race by then.
HF what you have said is so important…Sander’s Crowd…mirrors the GOP’s crowd….rather deep when you think about…but not totally unsurprising…because the PL and RW are 2 sides of the same coin….

up until about a week ago, Republicans were on record supporting the very fetal-tissue research they’re now outraged by. It’s a detail House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) reminded GOP leaders about yesterday.
“When [legislation] was passed enabling research to go forward, I remind that Mitch McConnell voted for that,” she said at a news briefing Thursday in response to several questions about Planned Parenthood’s undercover video controversy. […]
Pelosi refers to legislation passed in 1993 that allowed federal funding to be used for medical research involving fetal tissue, under certain conditions.
The law prevents abortion providers from turning a profit, but it also permits providers to make tissues available for scientific research.
And for Republicans exploiting deceptively edited videos, this poses a real problem. For one thing, there’s no evidence of Planned Parenthood ever profiting from fetal-tissue research. For another, there’s also no evidence of the healthcare group making tissues available to anyone but medical researchers.
And finally, plenty of prominent GOP leaders actually voted for the bill that made this possible. The Huffington Post’s Laura Bassett had a great report on this earlier in the week:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) fast-tracked a bill to defund Planned Parenthood on Friday because of an undercover video of a Planned Parenthood doctor discussing the donation of fetal tissue after abortions. But McConnell was one of many Republicans who voted to lift a ban on fetal tissue donations after abortions in 1993 – the very move that legalized Planned Parenthood’s actions.

Every time I listen to Secretary Moniz I am more impressed with him. He is a wonderful spokesperson for this deal. And it is difficult to argue with someone you know is brilliant:-)
The odds that Israel will ever sign the NPT are slim to none in my view. They will continue to hoard their stash of weapons for that day that Bibi is sure is coming. I really think his hysterics are rooted in two issues.
First, he has built his entire career as a politician screaming about Iran. This goes back more than 30 years, and what else does he have? Israel has not prospered under his administration but apparently the Israelis believe he keeps them safe, the only reason for his reelection,.
Second, if Iran is no longer a threat, he won’t have much of anything to divert the world’s attention from the plight of the Palestinians. Iran has served a very specific purpose for him and his illegal settlement activities. Once that is gone, the push will come and in fact already is coming from Europe since the signing of the Iran deal. He has no excuse but continues to authorize new settlements.
What is incredibly sad is that Bibi has done more to turn the world away from Israel than anything anyone else could possibly have done. They will end up isolated. And the Iran deal will even stand between him and HRC assuming she wins. Personally, I am very happy that PBO has put some distance between the US and Israel. The way the Rs let Bibi lead them around by the nose is nauseating.

The current Senate count for the Iran Deal is 28 Senators have said they are in favor of it. 6 more are needed to withstand a challenge and uphold The President’s veto.
Nothing is guaranteed but that number, 6, with so many Dems in “undecided” group seems pretty strong to me.
Of course, Much better would be a 60 vote YES so that no Presidential veto and subsequent upholding is needed.
Either way. The World and PBO will win this one. AIPAC can prolong their eventual defeat but not avoid it.
Vicki, the staff at my Congress people’s offices seemed to vary from surprised to pleased by my call. No one wanted to tell me which way the congress person was going to vote, but that didn’t matter to me, I nicely informed them that I was calling to let Congressperson know that as a California voter, I am requesting that they support the President’s Iran Deal and that I will be watching how they vote.
Overall, I had some very pleasant conversations - especially when I called my local Rep. Judy Chu’s office. Through my boss, I know her and her husband so we had a nice chat.
Back to work I go. Count down to the weekend!!!
