Bringing this forward as I think it is so important and hoping a lot more people will join in. The launch was active, generated a good response, but with Kickstarter, the first 72 hours is vital to the success of the product! Thank you, join in if you can! <3 Please share share share also!

The story: my daughter is a ‘social media strategist’, this is the work she does for her clients. In this case, her client is the inventor, contacted her to help him launch the project. She wrote the script, did the filming, is in the video, you can hear her voice, see her hands working (and her feet!), did all the editing, and set up the Kickstarter. She builds websites for many people, does all their social media (FB, Twitter, Pinterest, you name it), and has just this week finally set up her own website!! Take a look: http://www.innovativedigitalmedia.com
She hoped to open her ETSY store this week, but has had to ‘slow down’ just a bit since her stroke last month. And she is 29, a powerhouse of ideas and innovation! Love her so much, she is doing well, healing rapidly with an expected full recovery.

    Hi, TOD.
Just a thought to add to the comments on the DNC Data Kerfuffle.
No matter what the substance of the issue was it should have been sorted out in private. As many here have already stated.

The NY Times had a story up on the data breach and a comments section. Within a few hours the comments section was removed.
I read the comments when they were available and they were very sobering.
Equally divided between Hillary supporters and Bernie fans. So that is not why the comments were taken down.
My guess is that the unanimous anger at the DNC and the call for the removal of DWS is one reason why the comments were removed.
Another guess is the general feeling of voter disaffection—-AKA voter suppression—that this public washing of laundry by the DNC stirred up.

DWS seems determined to lose. I’ve been feeling this for a long time. 2010 and 2014 bear out this feeling. The hiding under the bed debate schedule does too. And now this entirely unnecessary event.

So far in 2015 the (D) Party has been the grownups. United with credible candidates able to discuss the critical issues. I have been proud of my party.

DWS Blew that up with no justification. Exposing again HRC’s ruthless reputation. Either she is stupid or DWS has an agenda we aren’t aware of.

After all this is a part-time job for DWS. And she has her thumb on the HRC scale.

From what I read, the Sanders campaign did something pretty unethical, fired one guy but apparently didn’t answer other questions that needed answering. I saw it reported that the database company said the data had been accessed by four accounts and saved. I’m sure he would have been really angry if this had happened to his campaign. DNC may not have been very subtle in their response, but it seems as if that action required a response. The Sanders campaign started trying to play the victim and also blew it up by suing the DNC. It seems like his group is the one that is making this a big media deal. I think it reflects very poorly on them.

Sooo, I went to see the new Star Wars movie last night and I must admit that I was underwhelmed (and I am a fan of the series). Even a scene that I am sure was supposed to be shock and awe fell flat with the theater crowd (part of the reason may have been that it was so obvious that it was going to happen) The new droid is almost completely lacking in personality (R2D2 had a presence from the very beginning) and frankly, the addition of the old characters added little to the movie and nothing to the franchise. Much of the movie could be seen as an example of “past is prologue.” J J Abrams did a much better job in the re-boot of the Star Trek series than what was presented in this movie, however it is clear that there will be a sequel, that I believe will be better than episode VII (as The Empire Strikes Back was a better movie than its predecessor). When a movie is overly hyped before its debut I am always a little suspicious. Why would such a well-known and beloved franchise require the awful merchandising (Star Wars make-up and soup, etc.) in the lead up? My overall score for The Force Awakens is 3 out of 5.

Obama is a rationalist president in the age of anxiety

    By David Ignatius

    ———————————————-

The rise of Trump has surprised most pundits, but it doesn’t seem to shock Obama. Trump is a crystallization of the angry rhetoric that Obama has been facing from the GOP since he took office. Trump is just louder, more shameless and more charismatic. He’s the marriage of P.T. Barnum and Rush Limbaugh.

“The truth is, being an American is hard. Being part of a democratic government is hard. Being a citizen is hard. It is a challenge. It’s supposed to be. There’s no respite from our ideals. All of us are called to live up to our expectations for ourselves — not just when it’s convenient, but when it’s inconvenient. When it’s tough. When we’re afraid.?

Is there anyone who does NOT like macaroni and cheese? I don’t mean avoiding it for health or weight-control reasons, but genuinely not liking it because you dislike how it tastes….

I can’t think of anyone who fits that category…
