How does the saying go? “Some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple”. This man may at one time had a “good brain” but has stopped using it and it has turned to mush! The man can no longer speak intelligently and everyone he keeps around him MUST tell him he’s great everyday or they are gone.

Everything that anyone needs to know about Black women in America is summed up in her face, her hands, her fashion, and that fan. I am filled with pride. This photo of Mrs. Victor returning from voting reminds me of who and what I am and from whence I came. In the poem, “We Speak Your Names,” the poet Pearl Cleage proclaims:

We are here to speak your names
because of the way you made for us.
Because of the prayers you prayed for us,
We are the ones you conjured up, hoping we
      would have strength enough,
and discipline enough, and talent enough, and
      nerve enough
to step into the light when it turned in our
      direction, and just smile awhile.

We are the ones you hoped would make you
      proud
because all of our hard work makes all yours part of something better, truer, deeper.

Yes, indeed…God Bless her for doing her civic duty. She knows how precious voting really is while so many do not. I spoke with someone (white male) I worked with who has NEVER voted because he claims it just does not matter. They will do whatever they want once in office. I told him that he is unrealistic to think that voting for a candidate you will personally will get everything YOU want or you will be pleased 100% with what a person will do. As a non-voting he does not believe in this country. He is no different than a non-citizen here who does believe in this country but can’t vote.

Good morning TODville. Just want to stop in quickly to say I’ll be lurking the next 2 days. Today is phone banking and tomorrow I am a Poll Judge. I am wearing white tomorrow that’s the only statement I can make while working at the polls. Thank goodness we can have our phones so I can be checking what’s happening.

The weather will be beautiful here in Montana so we are hoping for a huge turnout that will carry our MT Dems to victory. Still don’t think Hillary will win Montana, but thankful for the few Republicans that do vote for local Dems. When Tester won he won by 3000 votes. Every vote counts. Everyone get out there and vote. I know Hillary will win. I want it to be a landslide!!!

Thank you everyone for all your are doing, and especially, our wonderful Chips and Nerdy Wonka. I really miss AMK. Has anyone heard from him? What has happened????

One of my cousins and his family were in line for early voting at a library in their neighborhood, which is mixed, but has more white people than any other group, had an experience with voter harassment. This white guy was harassing everyone with his comments and threats etc. The cops were called and they did their jobs in the way that one would hope every law enforcement officer would. They got the guy away from the line, questioned him, and explained to him what the laws are regarding this type of behavior. Told him that when they checked back if the had moved beyond the designated distance or if anyone called them, they were taking him to jail. The cousin said that the white cop was fierce; it was like “this shit will not be happening.” This is huge for my area.

I heard this on NPR and they would not say it was because the Market is afraid of the uncertainty of a DT win. It claimed it was because so many investors are “gambling” that Clinton will win that the market dropped or rebounded because it looks like she will win and their gamble will pay off. I call “BS”! the Markets are scared to dead of DT win and a GOP take over. They might get tax cuts in the short run but the economy will surely go to shit in the long run.

I know. He has blood on his hands because of all the vile things he said about PBO now he has to walk around with body guards now that he unleashed the racist crazies that can’t be consoled or reasoned with. Just goes to show he NEVER believed in the vile he spewed in the first place. PBO told them in 2009 at that GOP retreat, “You won’t be able to govern if you keep up with these lies you are telling your constituients. Once you try to compromise and work with me they will turn on you”.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/italy-matteo-renzi-obama-facebook_us_5820b3cbe4b0d9ce6fbd83dc

Renzi referred to Obama as “the man who has invested in hope over cynicism, who has raised a generation to try (Yes, we can),” and praised his investment in energy, innovation and health care. He acknowledged that Obama’s foreign policy has not been without controversy, but hailed his policies in Cuba and Iran, and his contribution to the global economy.

The Washington Post’s style section recently named Renzi the “Justin Trudeau of Italy” — but he seems to share more than a fashion sense with his Canadian counterpart. Both leaders have developed something of a “bromance” with Obama.

Italy enjoys close relations with the U.S., and Obama invited Renzi to a state dinner on Oct. 18 — the last formal dinner of Obama’s presidency. At the event, the Italian prime minister declared that he was a “huge fan” of Obama and invited the first family to dine with him in Florence.
