When I got my Federal job they did a background, it got held up because ( I swear to god ) I had an unpaid cable bill from god knows when. Me and my girlfriend, that’s now my wife, didn’t pay a cable bill, supposedly. My wife is obsessed with paying bills on time but for some reason this one got past us. Anyway, it was a funky $50 or $60 dollar cable bill that almost derailed my career before it even got started. Needless to say I paid the bill and provided the proof, no harm no foul. If these people can’t get a background check favorably adjudicated then something must not smell right.
It stinks of organized crime and treason.
