Greg Sargent (Washington Post): A funny number from Gallup, which finds that Donald Trump’s “positive intensity score” among Republicans and GOP leaners has plummetted to a lower level than that of any other 2012 GOP presidential hopeful: “….Trump has the unenviable distinction of receiving a Positive Intensity Score of 0 ….”
And let’s not forget that all this was followed by the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
….What a ride! At first the Donald skillfully played the media, adopting a strategy of deliberately tracking in lurid, freak-show-friendly falsehoods in the full knowledge that the resulting media attention - even if negative - would buoy his presidential hopes among GOP primary voters. At first, it worked. But Trump was defined by the freak show, too, and his antics quickly came to look pathetically buffoonish and small when reality - Obama’s birth certificate, the killing of Bin Laden - came along and popped Trump’s balloon, causing him to crash back down to earth.

GOP Freshmen On Medicare Attacks: Let’s Let Bygones Be Bygones
House Republican freshmen admit that their so-called “MediScare” attacks on Democrats helped them win a big majority in 2010. Democrats had voted for the health care law, which included $500 billion in “cuts” to Medicare — primarily slashing overpayments to private insurers — and Republican challengers never let them forget it.
Now, they say, it’s time to let bygones be bygones.
Nearly a dozen House Republican freshmen held a press conference outside the Capitol Tuesday morning to “wipe the slate clean,” and “hit the reset button.”
On Tuesday, Kinzinger and 41 of his colleagues sent a letter to President Obama, asking him to rein in Democratic attacks on GOP members who voted for the House budget, which includes a plan to privatize Medicare and cap spending on the program.

I hate these comparisons, lol. They tick me off no end.. comparing President Barack Obama to Gingrich or Palin or Huckabee or any of the other ‘muppets’ really gets under my skin.
When I was a kid, one of my cousins had a pony.. a tempermental Shetland pony- we thought he was awesome of course.. because he was a ‘horse’.. and we rode him like we were all Roy Rogers and he was Trigger.. but in the end he was just a pony- who often would try to take a bite out of us or kick us when we had our backs turned or buck us off.
Comparing these low-lifes, has-beens, and never-will-bes to Barack Obama is like comparing a child’s pony to Secretariet. Ain’t no comparison. NOt even in the same league.
