AFP: In a cramped campaign office a couple of blocks from a sprawling General Motors assembly plant, Linda Koch rings the bell used to signal that a new volunteer has signed up for the fight to reelect President Barack Obama.
“Woohoo!” the triumphant Koch chirps. “She’s bringing her sister too!” …..
….. In the month leading up to the January 31 Florida primary, the Obama campaign registered nearly as many new voters in the Sunshine State as it had in all of 2011.
Linda Koch is one of 15,000 “neighborhood team leaders” working on Obama’s ground crew. She says the most persuasive message she has is the story of why she got involved in politics for the first time a few months ago at the age of 56.
Koch was laid off from her job at a Detroit-area hospital shortly before she was diagnosed with throat cancer. Then Chrysler warned that it would go out of business without government help, putting her husband’s livelihood - and their health insurance - at risk.
“I didn’t want to die of lack of insurance,” she said. “It’s just not the way we should do things here in America - it’s not right.”
Politics came home to Koch when Obama was elected and pushed through the bailout of Chrysler and GM and landmark health care reform. Her husband’s job - and the US automotive industry - was saved. And people like Koch couldn’t be denied insurance coverage anymore because of a “pre-existing condition.”….

I can’t be first…can I?
Yes, just missed my chance
Hi canadabarb! ;)
Congrats JoJo!!!!!!
Thank you Chips…and Happy Presidents Day to our favorite Prez.
Can you tell me how to upload a user-picture.
This is not the time in history that I would like to have Linda’s last name. There are two men that have smeared her name of Koch. She is helping to take the sting out of the name.
LOL, for sure Grandmama! :)
Go OFA Florida! Excellent work.
Off to spread Linda’s story. PBO’s policies really do affect everyday people. Imagine where Linda would have been if Romney was the President during the automobile industry’s disaster. Or if PBO had listened to whiny emoprogs to scrap the ACA because it didn’t include a public option.
Fantastic. RT’d :)
And the emoprogs were full of it anyway - were they in a coma when he said all through the campaign that he’d go for the public option if he were starting from scratch? I mean, hello. Don’t call yourself ‘his base’ and say you don’t remember. I’m post menopausal with a memory of swiss cheese and I remember quite well. idjits!
I think I’d also like to thank Governor Rick Scott for probably contributing to the uptick in Obama voters. Nothing quite says ‘buyers remorse’ like the result of either staying home because of the 2010 ‘enthusiasm gap’ or actually voting for the guy with the worst approval record in the country (though I’ve yet to find anyone who will admit to voting for him).
Bravo, UT! A really spot-on comment!
Greece second bailout ready to be approved-
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSTRE8120HI20120220?irpc=932
Great News! 13,000 plus, on Tuesday at the closing bell.
Getting close to crash numbers again…isn’t it ?
Yes, ma’am. :-(
I kind of wish this was happening on the night of the debate, so we could see the GOP candidates try and spin a 13,000 DOW close as somehow representing a “failure” by the President.
The futures were at 69 last night before the Greek bailout news.
This is great to hear.
Robney Super PAC spent 14 million in january-
The pro-Romney super-PAC Restore Our Future spent $14 million in January, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
That’s more than twice the nearly $7 million the super-PAC raised in January, although Restore Our Future finished the month with more than $16 million in the bank, according to a report in The New York Times.
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/211651-report-pro-romney-super-pac-spent-14-million-in-january
So how much of the Romney super pac bank account will it take to “buy” Michigan? These primaries are proving very, very costly for Robney supporters. Keep draining the bank, Willard.
And FYI - no relation to the Koch brothers! :)
Linda’s story caused a bit of water works and cheering in my house.
Here’s hoping all the spending will provide jobs for some.
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced Monday that an agreement had been reached between the United States and Mexico to allow drilling for oil and natural gas along the boundary between the two countries.
Under the agreement, 1.5 million acres of the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf will be opened for drilling. The interior department’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management estimates there are 172 million barrels of oil in the area.
http://thehill.com/blogs/e2-wire/e2-wire/211655-us-mexico-agree-to-open-15-million-acres-for-oil-and-natural-gas-exploration
We use 19.6 million barrels per day.
Linda…thank you for your story. It’s personal and Obama’s policies not only saved your husbands job, but allowed you to get the medical treatment you needed. What can the GOP say against those 2 personal reasons for you joining our army?
Just read this about the GOP “They’re so antagonized by the Obama presidency that they’re guaranteed to turn out.”
Well Democrats are getting “antagonized” by the racist, far right, anti-middle class garbage coming out of the GOP candidates mouths. Two can play at that game.
Great story about Linda Koch, but if you want to keep your blood pressure in check, don’t read the comments.
It’s a Yahoo article, so consider yourself warned.
The nuts came out of the woodwork for this article. It looks like an organized thing to slam any article that gives the President any credit.
There was some push back in the replys. Obama supporters struck back.
I was about to say the same thing. I find them so shocking that they are so full of hatred not just for PBO, but for Democrats in general. All we want is for all people to get health care and be employed, why is that so bad?
I wonder the same thing. I notice how in pictures of the Dems everyone is smiling but in the photos of the Rethugs everyone is snarling. The hatred is there and is clearly visible.
I made the mistake of starting to read the comments because I thought Linda’s story was a good one. I made it to the 3rd comment and promptly removed myself. Its my B’day today and didn’t want a downer.
Happy Birthday, smoothscotch! I am glad you saved your day from all the ugliness from people who comment on Yahoo-news! In any case, I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Ah Smoothscotch, only saw your comment now - a very belated:
Thanks for the video about Port City Brewery in Alexandria (previous thread). I’ll have to look for their beer to see if it’s sold here in Maryland. I’ll definitely support anybody who’d speak out like that on behalf of the President.
Northern Virginia OFA looks super, super busy when I look at the events calendar (I end up with some northern Virginia events when I type in my zip code.) And I know us Marylanders will be crossing over the Potomac to help them out as much as possible.
So apparently, snl did a segment called The Obama Show. It’s premise is that it’s The Obamas meet The Cosby’s with PBO as Bill and Miche as Mrs. Cosby…….. I didn’t like it. I actually cringed at certain parts. Am I too sensitive? Here’s the video:
http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/cosby-obama/1386282
I thought it was cute… although I don’t like the guy playing PBO. There are better actors who can do impersonations of him.
what bothered you about it?
I didn’t cringe, I just thought it was very very very UN-funny. I didn’t even smile once.
I didn’t cringe but I didn’t laugh either. Just not funny. I kind of liked the intro dancing though but why didn’t they pick 2 girls who were the same height? Odd.
The intro was the only good part IMO.
yeah. the intro and the end where he says the best thing is eating rice cakes with Miche was the only thing i liked about it. Otherwise, I just cringed.
I didn’t like it either, and thought it was borderline distasteful. Not funny at all!!
I didn’t cringe at all. C’mon Joe-Jamal BIden…? That was actually pretty good. As for the content after the opening dance scene, it was actors playing the Obamas mocking The Cosby show, not the other way around. That was just a spoof, no more, no less. I think it’s ok to have humor around issues. I think Comedy Central is hilarious, just another form of getting a message out to a younger crowd. Anyone watching SNL or Comedy Central know that they are not right leaning in the least.
I thought “Joe-Jamal Biden” was cute, but after the opening dance sequence, I didn’t find it funny either. I have no problem with the spoof concept itself, it just wasn’t funny to me.
imo, SNL ceased being funny after the first group in the 70’s
now I do agree with that. The original group can’t be topped. I don’t know if it was the newness of that type of programming, chemistry among the actors, the writing or what, but it was very good, never again duplicated.
All of the above.
I posted the vid yesterday. I said it OK. Like a few others I only laughed at the intro - Joe Jamal-Biden = :) . I would prefer if their “Obama” actually resembled the real Barack Obama.
I’d prefer if they were actually funny. But hey, what can you do?
Amy Poehler’s segment on the contraceptive issue was terrific, I thought.
Yes, That was fantastic. Really!
It’s that time of year again, sports fans. The annual hair on fire: “GAS PRICES ARE SKYROCKETTING!!! PBO MAY BE DOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOz!!!!!! :concern trolling: :concern trolling: Thanks so much Tweety. So the Twit has a segment coming up about gas prices and wonders if this is the issue repugs have been waiting on to go after PBO. hm.
lol .. I tweeted this about 3 hours ago: Terri S @flowerchild369 - You know gas prices will be the next Obama hit - via Zandar @BalloonJuice - At Least Have The Grace To Oil Up…Again
http://www.balloon-juice.com/2012/02/20/at-least-have-the-grace-to-oil-up-again/
You know it was coming. Not too surprised it was Tweety giving the repug talking points. I haven’t been able to watch his show since he had Tom Delay on talking about how much he respected him, last year I think or whenever it was. ugh! Heard on twitter about how he defended Pat Buchanan after he was fired. Sometimes he’s spot on, most times he’s hard to take anymore.
oops, I guess shortened links don’t show up clickable here. Don’t post here much, but it’s a great article about how speculation is what drives the price of gas - most of the MSM will play this as election fodder because it’s all a game to them anyway, not about actual journalism.
Fixed the link for you bklynsam
Tweety just asked if rising gas prices was PBO’s fault. seriously?
at least he has some smart guy on answering questions. some woman from Reuters says that this gas thing is a politically smart issue to go after PBO on. She says they should bring Keystone back up too. Really? why the fuck are you on MSNBFOX giving the GOP political advice?
These people just want there to be a close race, they don’t want to see President Obama beat the GOP by a big margin, so that is why they are doing all they can to help the GOP.
They don’t give a DAMN about policy. They just love the game. Totally livimg in their bubble. Completely out of touch with ordinary americans.
sounds like it’s up to how OPEC feels about the next president of the US. If they’d rather see PBO keep the job, they’ll help out by releasing more oil. If they’d rather a pub, then they won’t. However, don’t underestimate PBO. He could very well release the reserves we have on hand. Also, we know this shortage is speculative, he may do something to curtail or expose speculation in the oil market.
OPEC has no control over the price of oil. We now produce more oil in this country than we import. We are actually exporting gasoline to other countries. Demand is the lowest is has been in several years supply is plentiful. This really is all about the speculators, and they definitely don’t want PBO to win.
Here’s the story he should be covering - daily - because it is yet another attempt by the greedy to defeat #PresObama irrespective of how much pain and destruction they cause to Americans.
#PRESSON
We need to shine a big light on these Koch roaches …

Now it’s time for gratuitous Clinton loving. “what part is Bill Clinton going to play in the upcoming election? Coming up, we’ll take a look at the Clinton Factor!!! I know it’s HUGE! :ass kissing, ass kissing, ass kissing: Well no wonder there are no more Monica’s coming out of the closet, what with Bill’s new fluffer and all.
ps- this statement is very mean but I’m so f-ing over Bill Clinton and Tweety’s insane obsession with him. It’s disturbing.
I’m with you Lisa.
And what is it with these pundits who refuse to refer to him as President Obama or The President? Man, that chaps me!
Well at least it got him off of comparing PBO to Kennedy to sell books. Amazing how many books were sold using PBO as fodder, positive or negative. What gets me is again, you have men sitting around talking about a decision a very successful woman has to make for herself, but somehow needs her husband’s influence to make it happen. Also, they are right, whether we like it or not, PBO will need Bill as a surrogate, especially in the south. Remember, just cause many call themselves progressives, doesn’t mean they are.
lisalovesobama I totally agree with you…I thought I was the only one who felt this way.
Do these Bill Clinton lovers ever mention the fact that a lot of President Obama’s term has been spent undoing the damage that Clinton put in place, like DADT, DOMA, deregulation of the financial industry and news broadcasting, failing to pass health care, weakening the social safety net by attacking welfare, failing to get bin Ladin, ushering in George W Bush because he undermined the Democratic Presidency? Or does any of that matter when they’re sucking up to Clinton?
Bravo, Bravo, theo67! Besides, Matthews is such a hypocrite! He was one of the most vocal pundits calling for the impeachment and removal of President Clinton. He venomous attacks on President Clinton is what led me to stop watching his Hardball show. Now, all of a sudden, he loves and valorizes Bill Clinton! In my humble opinion, Chris Matthews is as phony as Mitt Romney!
Now I know why the lying racists bastard Rick Santorum didn’t defend President Obama when that old lady, call President Obama a Muslim. Because he think he is one too. What radical Islamic policies are that aide of Santorum talking about? The media need to stop letting these people get away with there lies.
Let them continue with their foot in mouth disease. PBO’s numbers rise every time they open their mouths. It’s called when they insist on digging a hole for themselves, let ‘em. I think in the case of Santorum, he’s not only looking over the top to the independents, he’s taking the whole party down with him.
…besides the sweater vest makes him look like a stuffed sausage…do we really want him gone from the race? I say let him destroy the ‘pubs all the way to November. Mitt can’t get further right than him, but will have to try and lose the little credibility he has left.
You know-sometimes things just come together. I just finished reading “Dreams from My Father”. What an insightfull, intelligent , and compassionate man we have as our president. I can’t say how much I admire him. At the same time I read that Santorum is talking about President Obama’s “phony theology”. Can there be any bigger contrast between these two men? I have been around those thin lipped, judgemental, phony Christians like Santorum my whole life. People like Rick are mentally ill. I don’t even have the words to say what I think about that terrible man. Hateful and mean! God bless President Obama!!!!!!!!!
I loved reading that book, too. It’s a striking contrast that the GOP are attacking President Obama as a person, while he’s challenging them to come forward with their ideas so they can be properly considered. President Obama hasn’t uttered one single personal attack against anyone on the right - except for joking about them at the correspondents dinners. Meanwhile, all they have going for them are lies and personal attacks, because they can’t attack his record legitimately.
It’s a beautiful book auni. I liked it even better than The Audacity of Hope. The kind of book where you can’t help but develop a deep respect for the author. Very few books I have read have made such an impression on me. It’s one I will read again and again.
Hey, This is a great story. Excellent work as usual.
The prior post reminded me of another “Obama Flag Non-controversy” A Wingnut radio host got upset about the flags behind the Prez in 2008 in Ohio because he thought that the Prez had made his very own flag & might plan on “starting an African Country in the US, if he was elected”????? The Ohio flag has an O for Ohio. The president did not invent a new flag. Guess Politico remembered something about that day & thought he had a ‘real scandal’ in WI. They never learn…….

Voting Rights Act …under assault
Guys, I’m going to go off topic for a little bit to say something that has been bordering me about this Israel/Iran situation. I hate feeling like they are trying to set up President Obama. Bibi is pissing me off right now. I hate feeling like Netanyahu is trying to play a big role in our election, and he’s doing everything he can to hand the presidency to a republican. He is power hungry, and showing the same arrogance that Bush and Cheney showed in the lead up to the Iraq war. Netanyahu needs to stop this madness about starting any military action against Iran, or he will live to regret it. Iran is not Iraq, and anyone that is crazy enough to think Iran will be easy to invade doesn’t know their history. I pray for President Obama, and I pray for the people of Iran and Israel that this can be resolve without any lives lost. I hope no one is upset that I brought this subject up because it’s something that has been bothering me for sometime now.
It’s been bothering me too, but I don’t think it would be wise for Netanyahu to mess with the President. All this war-drum beating is sounding a little too much like the run-up to Iraq but I put my money on the smartest man in the room.
jewelz - please trust President Obama. The GOP has “tried” all kinds of shenanigans in the past and will continue to do so right through election night. Almost invariably, these stunts backfire. And whatever nefarious motives Bibi may have - PBO is most likely on to him and will not allow his dirty tricks to hand the GOP the election this November.
Don’t worry jewelz,
Remember this…..
Barack Obama walked out on him and went up to the residence to have dinner with his family the last time…PBO does not take any crap from BiBi
I hope the President does the right thing and let’s Israel invade Iran on their own of they choose too. The Israeli government wants war with Iran, and Bibi is determined to start a war with them.
What do you mean you hope “the President does the right thing and let’s Israel invade Iran?” That’s very careless speak. That’s NOT the right thing. Yes, Bibi keeps stomping his foot like a petulant child and Ahmadinejad keeps throwing tantrums but to advocate for either country to invade one or the other is reckless. Do you know what blowbacks and repercussions would come of such a catastrophic event? War is not fun and nothing to speak of or write of in such a cavalier manner.
I read Brit’s comment differently as in if Israel decides to invade Iran that we should stay out of it. It seems like Israel is spoiling for a fight and is expecting the US to jump on board just because. Bibi and company seem to have a lot riding on that assumption.
Not saying what you said is wrong because it isn’t but I just had a different interpretation.
You know, UT, for a young person, you are bring so much wisdom to your commentaries! Your comment is right on the mark! For God’s sake, when are people going to realize that waging war is not a game? When are people going to wise up about the unpredictability of war? Look, I don’t like Iran to have nuclear weapons. But then again, I also don’t like the U.S. Russia, China, the U.K, France, Israel, India, and Pakistan having nuclear weapons either. Let’s be honest, in the whole history of nuclear weapons only one country has used them: the United States. I doubt very much if the U.S. would have used nuclear weapons if Japan also had nuclear weapons and could retaliate. I strongly believe that the reason the U.S. used nuclear weapons was because her adversary, Japan, did not have nuclear weapons.
I particularly do not like Iran’s President, Ahmadnejad because he strikes me as zealous islamic fundamentalist. But the same is true of the Israel fundamentalist Zionist Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu! Both leaders need to be restrained rather than being encouraged to embark on a foolish war that may have no winners. I see absolutely no compelling reason for a nuclear state like Israel waging a preemptive war to supposedly prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. I understand the rationale for sanctions, based on the collective will of the United Nations, to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons. What I don’t accept is the idea that one country can take it upon itself to attack another country that has not attacked it. I also think that, unless you believe in the idea that some nations are superior and more rational than others, there is no plausible argument why countries who possess nuclear weapons should impose a different morality on the countries that don’t!
Personally, I think Netanyahu is as zealous and irrational as Ahmedinejad. Thankfully the only advantage Israel has over Iran is that they are a Democratic country and Bibi could be easily thrown out of office. Nevertheless, even Democratic societies can be easily propagandized to support irrational and uncalled for wars. We witnessed this happen in both the U.S. and the U.K. in 2003!
Ol’ Netti should know that PBO don’t play that. No way PBO falls for the okey-doke. Netti’s just flexing his muscles for Iran to quiver in their boots. Both her and Immagetajacket remind me of the guy being held during a fight says, ‘let me go, let me at em’…all the while hoping that they’re held tight. Netti doesn’t even have the backing to bomb Iran in his own country. The whole world want sanctions, not war.
Hi Jewelz, I couldn’t agree more, I don’t think there’s any doubt that Netanyahu is sabre-rattling over Iran in an attempt to pressure PBO and, ultimately, influence the US election - and we all know who he’d like to see beaten in November. And it really doesn’t seem to concern him how dangerous and destabilizing all of this is, as if the Middle East wasn’t unstable enough. The man is only content when he’s stirring up this level of tension. We’ve been hearing about Iran’s nuclear threat for years and years, but it’s curious how it only becomes hyped at times like this. It’s terrifying.
Jewelz, so with on this one. I’m so fricking tired of this man. He’s getting on my last nerve.
It’s been bothering me, too, Jewelz. It seems unbelievable that the world is in this position again, only a decade after the erroneous buildup to the Iraq war. It’s like people have forgotten that 5000 American soldiers, and potentially millions of Iraqis died in that war. And yet, the GOP and their Netanyahu cohort so callously and carelessly march towards war. Last time, there were hundreds of thousands of people who marched in the streets to protest the Iraq war. I wonder if there will be people marching at the Capital and White House in two weeks when Netanyahu comes to town to get encouragement from his GOP buddies, and to try to embarrass the President again. They’re putting the whole world in danger. Many of us just want peace.
One thing is for sure, Robney and his Suoer PAC are broke. They have spent about 60 million collectively, and they are on second place.
If they are relying on the RNC, they just went into the black, with 7 million CSS on hand, that’s seven million.
Roves group has been focusing on Warren in Mass, which could be why Brown is ahead.
That said, these groups are spending mad loot, meanwhile, OFA has over 73 million cash on hand…
That is why the media is saying, oil, oil, oil…

Which is just another reason why the stupid pundits are looking for any reason they can find to stir up some fake controversy to keep this race close.
The American President is playing on the Encore channel. I love this movie. They have been having a “President’s Day” marathon of movies all day. Good stuff. Air Force One just went off. :)
That movie is just precious. The dance scene……ooooooo la la. The press conference scene. The scene where she comes back to him after the press conference and is in a tizzy trying to explain herself and she’s mad that she got lost on Dupont Circle. The scene where she realizes he’s screwed her over. I loooooooooooooooooooooooove that movie!
Trivia Time: The movies “Dave” and “The American President” along with everyone’s fave TV show, “The West Wing”, all used the same Oval Office set. :)
I didn’t know that :)
I am finally back on my computer, and that is what I had to do myself, watch those two of my favorites in honor or President’s Day. I love “The American President “, plus I had to watch our President with Pete Souza. Keeping my nerves in a place of comfort.
Love and miss my TOD family these past 4 days. Hopefully, things will work out better now that my computer is up again.HZ
I missed you, HZ, good to know you are here again!
Welcome back HZ. I missed you — absolutely love reading your posts. I hope things are okay for you.
I didn’t know that either. Thanks for the cool tidbit, AJ!
I love both Dave and The American President and The West Wing is simply my favorite TV show EVERRRRR!!
Have the movie industry ever made a “feel good” movie about a conservative president? What so feel good about a conservative president….unless you are rich.
just after spending two years helping the Obama election I decided to watch all of the movies and documentaries in order that I could find on the Presidents of the US. I spent over a year at it and became so much more informed.
Then I proceded to watch West Wing through twice. I missed it when it was on tv as I was a teacher and taxi mom for our four kids. We didn’t watch tv in our house as we were too busy with all sorts of activities and involvements. Another favorite besides the fictional West Wing was Backstairs of the White House (I think that was the name of it). It was about two generations of a family that worked at the WH and gave a perspective from the help of the Presidents and their families inhabiting the WH while they worked there. I do believe Cicely Tyson was in the series. I think it was not fictional. I recommend watching it if you have not seen it.
never seen it.
Oh you’ve missed a great one. If you can, try and get the dvd Lisa it’s worth it.
Lisa - you HAVE to watch this. It’s a classic! It’s one of my favorite movies.
thanks donna dem and theo. I’ve seen a 30 sec clip here and there from the movie, but have never gotten the chance to watch.
My favorite part of the movie. Thanks for posting this!
PBO could damn near use the whole speech. Awesome.
Gets my heart pumping every time I see it!
Romney raises $6.5 million, has $7.7 million on hand
By MAGGIE HABERMAN | 2/20/12 6:34 PM
The hefty amount raised in January is in keeping with some of his strongest months last year.
That sucks ass. Will politico have a headline saying Robney fundraising is way down an he is dooooomed! Doomed, I tell ya!
That’s hilarious Jovie.
“The hefty amount raised in January is in keeping with some of his strongest months last year.”
What a delightfully positive way to frame the story!!!
Burns & Haberman Blog
Paul: $4.5 million raised in January
By MAGGIE HABERMAN | 2/20/12 2:42 PM
Ron Paul’s campaign also says the candidate raised $1.7 million last week in a “moneybomb.”
How does the media call a single donor a “moneybomb”? I thought the entire $1.7 million donation was from the one owner of PayPal?
He raised 4.5M in January, 1.7M from one donor (pay pal guy) happened last week.
Maybe I will quit PayPal, I hardly use it anymore anyway…..
I predict that if Romney wins the nomination his money will dry up.
Lol @ 6.5 million. Didn’t PBO raise like half that amount in 1 fundraiser?
He raised like 8.3 during his recent West Coast swing.
Yeah, at least 8.6 million, but politico had headlines that obamas fundraising is lower than 08.
Jovie, remember it’s Po-lie-tico.
Something that I have found quite amusing this election cycle is the number of people attending these rallies. Santorum got around 3K people to come to some mega church in Georgia (that had to be hard  ). But then Senator Obama was getting tens of thousands..and who can forget in St Louis he got 100K people . The MSM is so trying to replicate 08 its not even funny.
How much does it cost the taxpayers for mccains trips overseas.
Oh the outrage, I saw it on every channel.
Oh, wait a minute…
Good one, Jovie.
Heads up. If anyone is interested:
PBS’ American Experience is on the Clinton presidency. EST 9:00 tonight.

Reblogged this on PMC - just another Michigander and commented:
I’ve known Linda all my life - and she works harder than anyone to re-elect President Obama. This is why we need to get those personal stories out there!
