Donald Trump laced into Karl Rove with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham today, pushing back on “Bush’s Brain” for comments he’s made about The Donald in recent months.
“Frankly, I know a lot more than a lot of the so-called pundits that you read about; Karl Rove as an example,” Trump said, according to a transcript.
“What did he do? He gave you Bush and he and Bush crashed and burned and to be honest Laura nobody could have won that election in all fairness to John McCain because of what took place during the Bush administration and that was Karl Rove.”
He also pointed out that he gave money, by request, to one of Rove’s political groups in the past, adding, “What it shows is a bad person. It shows that, you know you don’t come up and ask for something and then go and attack somebody. I mean I gave him that…what it shows is a character flaw.”
Trump has once again become something of a pivot point in the GOP primary, much as he was earlier in the race over birtherism, in no small part thanks to his ability to thrust himself into the news.
But there is also a segment of the GOP electorate that agrees with his sentiments about the Bush administration, and about the Republican establishment.
As for Jon Huntsman, who made a crack about not kissing any part of Trump’s anatomy, he said, “I think it is sort of a disgusting statement and you know I am surprised that it comes out of his mouth.”

T-Rumphole knows all about character flaws and is compelled to hypocritically quack about what he finds lacking in others. And, if there is nothing to complain about he makes shite up.. like searching for a birth certificate that’s already found.

One of the most gratifying things I ever saw was a video clip of a Scottish farmer that would not sell his land to Trump for one of his golf courses or something. He talked about what he “really” thought of Trump’s offer and his methods. It was beautiful.

I too received my Xmas card from the White House. When I get paid on the 16th, I will donate to Chips, OFA and the many charities that help feed people during the holidays. Peace to all!
JoJo - I was thinking about donations today, too. There are so many people who are still stuck in the recession, even though many more are able to spend a little. It would be nice to donate to local charities or smaller ones that might not get as much publicity or name recognition - although the big ones are important, too. I was thinking maybe people could share their favourite charities, and raise awareness. Everyone can share in the improving economy, if we all give a little. Of course, money isn’t always the only way to give - food, clothing, time - all useful. I also give small or monthly donations to a couple of favourite liberal blogs - since I can’t donate.
I give to Salvation Army (clothes, shoes, household appliances that still work). Easier to buy new stuff if I give away old stuff first.
I donate to http://www.losangelesmission.org, http://www.directrelief.org and http://www.oneworldhealth.org - in addition to some one-off donations through the year.
Would love to hear about other worthy causes.
I’ve decided to give all the organizations that ask for money $10-$15. That way I can do the most good with the money that I have.

Giving donations to charities invites you to be contacted by a lot of nuisance calls and mail solicitations. They do not quit and they are relentless in their harassment. I would be very hesitant to get on some one else’s list. You have to resort to blocking telephone numbers to get the communication to cease.
This year I’m going to organize a clothing drive for homeless youth-whose numbers are increasing. Also going to make a push next year to provide “survival items” in the form of backpacks, personal hygiene products, hand sanitizers and anything else that may come in handy.

Congratulations on crossing 6 mil. This is the first site I look at in the morning and when I get off work. I will have to say I think a lot of pro-Obama shows look at your site. I say that because I always see news on your site then when I watch shows like Rev Al and listen to the radio I hear the same stories. As seen in the below video, the Republican candidate and Tea Party darling greeted the soft-spoken 8-year-old and his mother at a meet-and-greet event for her new book, “Core of Conviction: My Story,” which was released last month.
“My mommy — Miss Bachmann, my mommy’s gay but she doesn’t need fixing,” Elijah said to Bachmann, after some lighthearted coaxing. A dumbfounded Bachmann then shot the boy’s mother an icy look before the pair walked away.

It’s shameful that the mother exploited her kid for a political point. Bachmann’s crazy and all, but this was just pure shameful on behalf of the mother… why didn’t she tell CrazyEyes herself as opposed to sending her son to do it for her?
Yeah..I was going to post that…but decided not to. I know Bachmann is one of the crazies but this was taking it way too far. I read a story on abcnews about it. The mom was going to say something, but got too nervous, and wanted to leave. Elijah, the little boy, tugged on his mom’s coat and made them stay.
That’s what I read also. I think she just encouraged him to say what he wanted to say.
I do think that I might have been a bit more protective of my son. I don’t think I would want him to know that there are people like Bachman out there, at least not until he was a little older.
I did not see encouragement. I see a mother sending a child to do her business. I think she prompted him at home and then again when he saw Bachmaan.
That was wrong on so many levels. You don’t send your child to do your business.

I watched BriWi for the first time in a long time to see how they’d play it. Of course they brought Chuckie on to give us his in-depth analysis. UGH. They were OK but really didn’t give the proper set-up or implications for what this means to most people. But I must say they did a pretty good hatchet job on Newt!

WASHINGTON-First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chief of Staff Tina Tchen hits Chicago Wednesday for fund-raisers benefiting the Obama re-election drive at her former law firm and at the home of long-time friend and early Obama backer Marilyn Katz.
Tchen appears at Skadden Arps-where she had been a partner- in the afternoon and then heads over to Lincoln Park for the event co-hosted by Katz, Bettylu Saltzman who holds an important place in Obama history, attorney Paul Levy and Steven Koch, a vice-chairman and co-chairman of Credit Suisse’s Merger and Acquisitions Group.
Saltzman is the Democratic activist who years ago spotted a young Barack Obama as a comer and told political consultant David Axelrod he should meet with Obama. In March, Obama appointed Koch a member of the Recovery Independent advisory board.
Donations for the Katz event range from $500 to $5,000.

A new Pew Research poll finds that as the fight for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination unfolds, more Americans say their impression of the GOP field is worsening than improving.
By a margin of two-to-one, 31% say that their impression of the GOP field is getting worse as they learn more about the candidates, while 14% says it’s getting better. Another 50% say their impression remains the same.
