I got a little fat there so it probably wouldn’t work for me. I’ve been running every day to get rid of it. lol And no, he hasn’t called me yet. I’m guessing it’ll be any day now.

            • June 19, 2012 at 7:46 pm

              WOW, good for you!!

Please let us know when you get the call!!

Go to the Couch to 5K site and follow the instructions. I swear by it. You’ll knock those few pounds off in no time. Also, try Lance Armstrong’s site Live Strong, and the site Calorie Count, both allow you to input your stats (age/weight/height/activity level, etc) and will then figure out your BMI/BMR and tell you what you need to do to reach your goal. You input what you ate and it’ll give you the nutritional (including caloric) value. You can put in your activity, walking, sitting, on the computer, etc and it will give you your what you’ve burned during the day. I’ve used them both, with the Cto5K and have lost 40lbs and run a 5K six times a week. Good luck on your journey!

Thanks for that info. I have been using nowloss.com, too. Have you tried that site?

                • June 19, 2012 at 8:21 pm

No I haven’t, gotta check them out. The other thing that’ll drop it is copious amounts of water, 1/2 your body weight in ounces a day. I’m done losing. I’m in maintenance now to keep me at my current fighting weight, ten pounds more than at high school graduation.

  10. June 19, 2012 at 7:49 pm

The CBS link is better than the CNN for PBO, you can’t hear the translator!

  11. June 19, 2012 at 7:50 pm

    Any bombshells yet?

  13. June 19, 2012 at 7:57 pm

Roger Simon already crabbing that PBO is too wonky at his presser and that reporters will have to ask for an English translation of his English. What???
    Too smart for everyone?
First question was if the European crisis will cost him the election. Every question always seems to be if this or that will cost him the election.
    Worthless reporters—–with an agenda.

    • June 19, 2012 at 8:03 pm

The media HATES when PBO gives such vital details which limit the extent to which they can spin or LIE with their agenda-driven reporting. They criticize him as being wonkish. If reporters need an English translation for this presser, then they need to back to journalism school.

Seems they got way to used to simple replies from the previous leader. Like won’t that cost you the election? Bush would answer, “No, next question!”

President Obama gives a lengthy, comprehensive, intelligent answer. When he finishes, the reporter asks again if Europe will cost him the election.
    Next question about Putin/Syria.

whoa did that reporter just repeat a Mitt Romney question? EFF her and with a snarky smile on her ugly mug. Gawd I despise ‘journalists’.

    • June 19, 2012 at 8:13 pm

Yes—-agree on the “despise”. I liked how Obama responded—-maybe you should ask Mr. Romney to ask his advisers what his advisers are asking—–(or similar)——and that we have one president at a time——–and maybe Mr. Romney is not familiar with the long-held agreement that criticism of the American president stops at the waters edge.
And her 2nd question was another question about Europe’s financial crisis—-guess she wasn’t listening during the first 2 answers on that same question.

  18. June 19, 2012 at 8:09 pm

    This President is BRILLIANT.

  19. June 19, 2012 at 8:10 pm

Get ’em PBO, “one president at a time. Back home folks don’t know what the heck they’re talking about, so go ask his advisers about him being so Mittiful about world affairs.I I’m confident cause I can whump his a$$, now next question”

    • 66 daisydem
      June 19, 2012 at 8:16 pm

“We have one President at a time” is EXACTLY what he said just before his election, when Wall Street seemed about to crumble and this country was on the edge of a financial disaster; the pundits wanted Obama’s input, wanted to know if he was going to D.C. to meetings, to do something … he responded thusly: we have one President at a time. Critics felt he was failing to do something (when probably behind the scenes he was being very well informed and expressing his opinions) but he was giving deference to the President at the time – Bush.

Now it is very much his turn … he is the President of the United States and should be treated accordingly! By everyone!

    • June 19, 2012 at 8:22 pm

I can’t deal with Eugene on cable TV. He needs to stick to writing columns – which is what he does best.

      • June 19, 2012 at 8:36 pm

And here we learn that not every writer is a good speaker…and conversely not every speaker is a good writer. Or, not every pundit is a masterful critic and not every critic is a good pundit! Therein lies the difference.

A few years back my now 22 year old nephew said he had to come out of his room to see what his Mom was watching on TV. He said he was wondering why someone was interviewing Kermit, the frog! I have to chuckle every now and then when I hear Eugene Robinson. I hate this stutter thing he does too. Most times lately I feel as though he’s taking his cues from the host as to how he should answer a question.

What’s the cartoon dog’s name that Lieber sounds like and has the facial expression of? Anyone know which character I’m talking about?

    Hi & Good evening!

  30. June 19, 2012 at 8:31 pm

What do you think about your clean air?-

On Tap Wednesday: The Senate will finally get around to voting on Sen. James Inhofe’s (R-Okla.) resolution to scuttle the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules to curb toxic emissions from coal-fired power plants.

His resolution can’t be filibustered, but he’s unlikely to win a majority vote.

Senate watchers will keep tabs on how many Democrats break ranks with the White House. So far, Sens. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Mary Landrieu (D-La.) are in Inhofe’s corner.

The White House has threatened to veto the measure if it ever gets to the president’s desk.

This statement by Ryan in response to the nuns is a perfect example of GOPSpeak. “Economic stagnation, and a growing dependency on government assistance, continues to push this country toward a debt crisis, in which those who get hurt the first and the worst are the poor, the sick and the elderly, the people who need government the most.” It’s a contradiction.
He really thinks we are all stupid.

  36. June 19, 2012 at 8:53 pm

I’m gonna say this again: Marco Rubio is nothing but a grifter, who thinks he’s a better grifter than he is. Rubio’s fake DREAM ACT was nothing but a damn fake. THERE WAS NO BILL that he was going to introduce. It was nothing but bullshyt to:

    1. make him look more respectable in the eyes of the Latino community so that he could pimp that respect to the GOP
    2. give Willard ‘cover’, so that he could try and erase all that racist ass bullshyt he said about immigration during the primary season.

    that is it.

HOW do I know it was nothing but a fake?

    a) where is ONE DEMOCRAT coming forward saying ‘ yeah, I was wworking with Rubio on his DREAM ACT PROPOSAL.’ as far as I can tell, NOBODY HAS SHOWED UP saying this.
    b) WHY wouldn’t he push his DREAM ACT bill NOW? I’ve said it before, what the President is only valid up until January 20, 2013. If Willard is elected, it could end at 12:01 pm THAT DAY. SO, why not submit it to become LAW OF THE LAND?

Because, that would mean that Rubio’s ass would actually have to get GOP votes……and, there are NO GOP VOTES FOR THIS.

Rubio was more honest, when his ass said that the DREAM ACT and /immigration ‘ didn’t involve him’, which is why it wasn’t even a section on his WEBSITE even a month ago.

This was all a smokescreen, and the President took that smokescreen and blew it all the way up, exposing the frauds and forcing them to either support what he did, or piss off Latinos even more.

Rubio is a scam artist, who just ran out of his scam. Now, he’ll actually have to do some work in order to gain some respect in the general Latino community, and if he can’t offer Willard cover with Latinos, he has nothing Willard wants.

Romney would do well to look over his shoulder at all the GOP candidates sharpening their knives in prep for 2016. If he loses, they’ll be ready for “their turn”. If he wins, they’ll be ready for “their turn”. No loyalty. He can forget about 1 year, let alone 8-10 years…

Besides not knowing the fact that a president can serve for no more than 8 years, Willard Romney’s hypocrisy is breathtaking. He is out there attacking President Obama for not balancing the budget in 3 years but then he wants to take 8-10 years to balance the budget. The media must hate President Obama so much for them to take this lying hypocrite seriously as some one fit to be President.
