Yet another TOD post that has been reblogged by Jueseppi B, despite requests that he make his own effort to support PBO rather than copying others simply to drive up his reblog’s traffic. He doesn’t take kindly to being challenged, as another woman found out: explicit. Genuine bloggers are welcome to use anything they ever see at TOD. Thanks
All official White House photos …. except this one:

These are the absolute best pics Chips. I was gonna ask if you could make this into a video slideshow, but that reminded me — didn’t you already make one to that song “Sing”? Can’t remember the band’s name, but I kinda remember there was banjo playing in it. Beautiful! Do you have that one handly?
Hmm, Dudette, I’m searching for and can’t find it - I’m wondering if it was on the channel that was closed down. If so, I’ll upload again tomorrow, especially for you, cherub cheeks!
It’s a little dated now (look at how small Malia and Sasha were not that long ago; and the “bikini chart” that’s way now nd bikini), but still warms my heart
Yes, Cman, I see that rather large hand in the lower right-hand corner about ready to snatch our Beloved President away from all that hugging. They do take their jobs very seriously.
What a beautiful bouquet at the end of the day. So much wonder and love and respect in the eyes of these children. The older kids look like they’re trying to drink him in so that they’ll remember the day forever. I love all of them, but I’ve always especially loved the little girl with the face paint. The look on her face is pure loving awe.
thanks chips, for these wonderful photos. my husband said, ‘look at all those babies and children, jumping out of their parents arms to hug and touch pbo-they don’t know policies or politics, but they know goodness, and safety.’
Oh wow, thanks so much, Chips. I really needed this! How can you look at these photos and not be moved by their total sweetness? Just really, really wonderful.
Hellooooooooooo BWD! Thrilled you liked them - the problem was I only got to about page 100 of 237 at the White House Flickr site and figured if I kept going the post would be as long as Willard’s list of lies. We many need to do a Part II (and III and IV and V and…….). Keep up your epic tweeting, legend.
This thread with all of those different shots are absolutely priceless. This is probably the first time that kids and babies know the President of the United States. :)
TAMPA (The Borowitz Report)—With Hurricane Isaac heading towards the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention, presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney today called for the government to respond with a round of “emergency tax cuts.”
“If this hurricane is as powerful as predicted, it could destroy many people’s second and third homes,” Mr. Romney said.

“If the Federal government got involved with this hurricane, they’d make the usual mistake of sending food, water, and medical supplies,” he said. “Clearly, what this situation calls for is vouchers.”
The picture of the Cub Scout is the one that always touches my heart. The affection and admiration in that child’s eyes is something to behold. God bless our President and keep him safe.
I also like the photo of the young lady in her Sunday best, just kickin’ it with PBO in the Oval Office. Like it’s the most natural thing in the world…
Hard to choose my favorite, they are all so wonderful. They make me smile:) I am partial to the one with the little ones looking out the window at him….always loved that one.
How do you pick a favorite? I like the one with the little girl reaching over the red plastic barricade and all the pics where kids are latched on for dear life. Thanks, Chips.
The person who uploaded this video needs to release any and all other footage they have of this meeting in order to help authenticate whether or not this actually is Romney.

More video to be released. It’s real and it gets better than this (or worse) depending on your perspective.

At the Puritan Backroom, Paul Ryan shook hands with late-lunch diners before buying ice cream for himself and several others.
“Twenty dollars is all I have with me,” Ryan said after pulling the bill out of his front pocket.
The tab totaled $17.70. He kept the change.
Ryan signed Romney’s book, “No Apology,” “even though I didn’t write this book,” Ryan said.
The book’s owner, Maria Ryan, is CEO of Cottage Hospital in Woodsville. She said she backed Mitt Romney, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, and opposed Obama’s health care law.
Not everybody in the room was ready to vote for the Romney-Ryan ticket.
Ryan tried to identify the ice cream flavors in Elaine Tefft’s banana split, guessing blueberry for what really was black raspberry.
“That thing’s huge,” Ryan said, describing the expansive ice cream dish.
Tefft, a registered independent, said she hasn’t settled on a presidential candidate, looking for more information from Romney and the other major candidates.
“I want to see the tax returns before I make up my mind,” Tefft said. “I do want to see those 10 years of tax returns from everybody.”
you caught that? I caught that. lolol Yes meta Paul Ryan the cheapskate kept the change. lolol I guess he was trying to pull an Obama when he said he would treat BUT made it clear he was only spending $20 dollars. smdh!
Loved that the independent voter said they were waiting for 10 years of tax returns from Willard before making up their mind. lolololol
Wow! Wow! Wow! The. Best-est. Post. to reopen my laptop to!:razz:
There are some favourites here that automatically trigger an outburst of laughter and others that automatically initiate the need to swallow. :lol:
Chips, you sure know the main route to my Obama heart! Thanks!:grin:
Seriously CC, do YOU feel the depth of the joy your posts bring to so many in the village? I mean, can you see the glow around us when we are particularly touched? I sure hope so cause it wouldn’t be ‘fair and balanced’ otherwise. ;);)
A old man invited his business associate for dinner at his house. Every time the host needed something, he preceded his request to his wife by calling her “My Love”, “Darling”, “Sweetheart”, “Honey” etc.
When the wife was out of their earshot, his business friend looked at him and said, “That’s really nice after all of these years you’ve been married to keep saying those little pet names.”
The man said, “Psst, don’t tell her this. Honestly, I’ve forgotten her name.”
Dudette !!! WEEP - IN!!:lol: whooo. Hilarious! I’ve never seen this clip from Rev. Al before. TOOO Funny. “it’s like a Herman Cain commercial” This clip goes in a very special spot in my 2012 Election Survival Kit. And Yes PBO does have that LAST baby’s number too.
Oh how wonderful Miz Chips. Thank you for this spectacularly lovely post!! It’s like a breath of fresh air. Adding this post to my 2012 Election Survival Kit! Here’s one of my favorite videos (also in my 2012 Election Survival Kit) with PBO and Terence from 2009:
Hiya PSLA, it’s amazing that you posted that video - I just got an email from the mother of that boy, a subscriber here, to say that’s him in the third photo in the post, about three years on. Gotta go sleep, but I’ll post about it tomorrow - and will reply to the very lovely woman.
Oh my goodness that’s incredible! How wonderful that Terence got to see our illustrious Prez up close and personal again. Wow! Fais de beaux reves Ms. Chips. Thanks again for all you do. You are LEGENDARY!
I had to tweet this one. I just imagined all the children of color watching the level of vitriol against our President understanding that it has very little to do with policy. It is truly sad that Mitt Romney does not understand the impact his words and actions have with our children.
It is shameful. I appreciated that POTUS understood the child was seriously troubled at what he saw and PO calmed him down to let him know that yes it was real BUT he could/would handle it. This child has a beautiful spirit.
with pleasure! this year’s vanity fair best dressed list passed over both the obamas, weakening their brand in my estimation. nobody is more high profile, and better dressed than pbo and mrs o!
Thanks susanne! Wow! I swear it is truly amazing what one can learn from this blog!
I clicked the link because I love fashion and of course I love FLOTUS. Took a gander at the other 9 in the list and got curious about young Hannah Bronfman.
Turns out she’s an heiress. Her mom is the actress Sherri Brewer (played in the original Shaft movie) and her dad, is Warner Music Group CEO, Edgar Bronfman, who by the way, is an Obama supporter.
Here’s a link to an op-ed Mr. Bronfman’s recently wrote in Haaertz (via the National Jewish Democratic Council):
“Bronfman: Obama’s Support for Israel “Bone Deep” http://www.njdc.org/blog/post/bronfman080712
Someone sent me this great editorial from The Economist of all places: http://www.economist.com/node/21560864?frsc=dg%7Ca
Some choice quotes:
“But competence is worthless without direction and, frankly, character. Would that Candidate Romney had indeed presented himself as a solid chief executive who got things done. Instead he has appeared as a fawning PR man, apparently willing to do or say just about anything to get elected.”
“Behind all this sits the worrying idea of a man who does not really know his own mind. America won’t vote for that man; nor would this newspaper.”
“He has threatened to label China as a currency manipulator on the first day of his presidency. Even if it is unclear what would follow from that, risking a trade war with one of America’s largest trading partners when the recovery is so sickly seems especially mindless. ”
“And it is all very well promising to repeal Barack Obama’s health-care plan and the equally gargantuan Dodd-Frank act on financial regulation, but what exactly will Mr Romney replace them with—unless, of course, he thinks Wall Street was well-regulated before Lehman went bust?”
“A businessman without a credible plan to fix a problem stops being a credible businessman. So does a businessman who tells you one thing at breakfast and the opposite at supper.”
Of course given the source, it is NOT an endorsement for PBO but is a scathing indictment of Romney from a publication that you’d expect to be backing him.
Given the folk who consider The Economist their ‘daily bread’ - that will definitely do damage to #BainMitt. Pragmatic biz folk, world over (including many in the US), who would typically be inclined to go with the GOP biz guy, know how much President Obama has already done for the global economy and this article will severely lessen any support they might have had for the other guy.
as i recall, the economist endorsed obama in 2008. since then, they’ve carped that he didn’t get the rethugs on board to re-light the american economic engine. lately, they’ve been leaning toward romney, but i don’t think they actually like him. here’s the last line from their article titled ‘the changing man':
‘ The most fungible of candidates will attempt to reinvent himself once again, as a likeable guy. Whether voters will find his latest incarnation any more consistent or credible than the previous ones remains to be seen. ‘
an interesting read.
http://www.economist.com/node/21560858
There’s another article written titled - So, Mitt, what do you really believe? | The Economist http://econ.st/PIcOpW
It’s okay, but I HATE double-standards. PBO is an exceptional President and because of Romney’s $, gender, party affiliation and color, he’s been given a pass on his incompetency and lies. The last sentence in the article reads “It is not too late for Mr Romney to show America’s voters that he is a man who can lead his party rather than be led by it. But he has a lot of questions to answer in Tampa.”
So I registered to this bulletin and wrote the 522nd comment below. Of course the usual idiotic non-factual talking points by the right are also in the comments. Anyway, I wrote….
It is too late for Romney. He’s the worst nominee for this powerful position ever.
President Obama is being faulted for NOT fixing fast enough a disgusting economy mis-managed by the Republicans and worsened by this 112th Congress. There is NO-ONE better in managing every situation a President has responsibility over than the man who currently holds this office. It’s not “So, Mitt what do you really believe?” It’s “Why are people so willing to NOT believe in THIS President?” (and believe me I know the ‘real’ answer to that).
I have worked with babies all my life. they know who genuinely loves them. I always love the photo where the president asks a bunch of kids to help him up after a group picture. Their eagerness to help is wonderful. Who wouldn’t want to give a helping hand to this wonderful man of the people?
Oh my, this is our wonderful President who is a decent and honest human being. Such care and concern for each person individually and collectively. Thanks so much Chips. It is what we need at the end of this day. Beautiful moments. So glad he came this way in our life time.
Somebody at Fox News should go to jail for this… straight to jail.

Fox News’ Selfish Partisan Evil Endangers Navy SEAL
http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/fox-news-selfish-partisan-evil-endangers-na
On Thursday, Fox News outed the identity of a Navy SEAL who co-wrote a book on the Osama bin Laden raid. I won’t link you to the article nor will I tell you the name they published, but their abject evil in promoting the OpSec group as endangering national security while outing the name of one of the people actually involved in the mission should be obvious.
Today, Fox News should be concerned about national security all over again, and their role in endangering it. Via Think Progress, this news:
“NBC News reports that users on websites affiliated with al-Qaeda have posted the name and photo of an American Navy SEAL who led the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. The New York Times reported this week that the SEAL, writing under the pseudonym Mark Owen, wrote a book documenting the events of the raid — news that came as a surprise to the industryand even the U.S. government.”
There’s a line somewhere in all of this that shouldn’t be crossed. I’m all for transparency, but not when it endangers someone else’s life. Valerie Plame’s outing should have been enough for all of us to understand.
That’s probably true unless you’re Fox News and you have a deep vested interest in: a) electing Mitt Romney president; and b) promoting the agendas of Republican retired military operatives who want to elect Mitt Romney. In their bloodlust, they thought nothing of publishing the name of someone who served their country and risked his life to do it… [more in the article]
I think it’s very disconcerting that the book was written without informing the military or the WH. The CIA usually vets these kinds of things. This is a very serious breach of protocol.
Plenty of blame to go around, but he was an anonymous, greedy bastard, who broke the law. Then FoxNews in their zeal to try and discredit the President, put not only the author’s life in jeopardy, but real life people associated with him, who may or may not have anything to do with the Navy or government. So now we’re gonna have to pay to put these folks deep undercover.
Friends - this will not end well, for #ChickenHawkMitt or anyone …. When stupid was born it’s name was Fox News and it’s offspring included the fool who wrote that book, for oh so many reasons …
Remember when some of us were wondering what the hell was up with Wyclef Jean performing at the RNC convention? Well, it looks like he’s been now replaced by someone else. Note that this is the fourth person scheduled for this particular event…First it was Willie Nelson, then he pulled out due to some “scheduling conflict” and was replaced by Randy Travis, and you know what happened with THAT ONE, who was then replaced by Wyclef Jean, who is now replaced by someone named Sara Evans! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Didn’t the loony left aka firebaggers ‘demand’ that wyclef be made the prezinent of Haiti ? And this fucker agreed to do a rnc hate fest gig? Can’t decide who is stupider.
Since the article failed to mention the reason for his replacement, something tells me it may very well have had something to do with Romney’s birther comment. After all, Wyclef is an immigrant. If that’s really the case then maybe he should have first considered his racial and immigrant status before signing on to do anything with the RNC. I hope he learns his lesson in that vein.
The guy must have been wilfully blind and deaf for the past 31/2 years to what the thugs have been spewing. With his vain presidency run for a country he left long time back and his signing up for this racist fest tells me a rwnj, regardless of his immigration status.
OT/  / I figured you guys could appreciate this little email interaction between a friend and I - a friend I hadn’t spoken to in several months, and one who had been initially quite surprised to learn of my obsession keen interest in things Obama.
——————————————————————————————
FRIEND: …enjoying the summer. The boys and I have been criss-crossing the US. We are back now and I wanted to let you know that I’ve been thinking about you.
ME (VC): …….
Criss-crossing the US and you didn’t pre-warn me? Suppose I had wanted to send a personal message to my boyfriend? Did you see him by any chance? Were you in Washington DC? On second thoughts you better not admit it if you did see him, and/or his wife and daughters because that would just rile me up. I’ve actually been fine, just a wee bit more antisocial than usual - I’m calling it my period of introspection. Can’t tell yet how much longer it will last…
[The last part was me deviously setting the stage for people to leave me alone so that I can focus more time on TODville, without having to answer the phone too often or deny invitations for get-togethers ;) ]
FRIEND: Well, if you were being a little more social… you would have told me you guys were still an item because while in Chicago I did visit his house!!! Yes indeed, I did!
Though he was out at the time, I could have left a note for you…spice things up a bit, you know. Could have slipped it to the secret service stationed outside his door, Michelle wouldn’t even have to know.
Hey girl, get out of your shell ‘cause you’re missing out! Look at what I could have done for you.
Had it been a Female named Hurricane, Bob McDonnell would have ordered a transvaginal probe devise to determine how the wind was strengthening? Cat 1, 2, or not.
I noted earlier on Twitter that everyone’s getting a kick out of that irony. Certainly don’t want anyone impacted by Isaac, around Tampa and beyond, but I do intend to laugh that some of the RNC “festivities” have to be rescheduled. Ha ha ha. Take that, crooks and liars and thieves and racists who seem to make up the majority of the GOP, these days.
Isaac is laughing because the RNC’s platform of “we built this (with no gov’t help)” is going to be completely and utterly destroyed within the next 3-5 days.
After a somewhat hectic day, I have loved spending time here tonight, sifting through the pics, videos and hilarious comments! I love you all so much! Anyway, I thought the pic of the little chap with his Dad and Mama, and PBO… the baby is wearing a white shirt, vest and a nifty blue tie, seems to be asking PBO to help him take it off! Or at least, showing PBO they both have lovely ties to wear! And that was my fave tonight, as I had not seen it before. Wonderful to end this day finally, and is such a loving way! Sweet dreams all! {{{{{{{{Chips&TOD}}}}}}
So tell me, how effective is the RNC going to be in emphasizing their “We built this (with no government assistance)” theme when Rick Scott and other governors in predominantly Repub states are asking for government help for hurricane/weathe-related disaster relief? The governor of Alabama has already cancelled his trip to the convention entirely. Something tells me that Bobby Jindal will follow suit very soon.
When Ann Romney was on Rock Center and she talk about how honest Mitt Romney is. I could not believe she said that. Ann Romney husband is a bold face liar, and if I ever met her I would tell her that to her lying face.
Thank you again for creating TODville…where I come for all things positive about PBO. We know that PBO is president of the people, but can we call him the Children’s President? Same as the adults, they’re knowledgeable about him, excited to be near him, and they ooze oodles of love for him. Looking at these photos make my heart go a flutter.
On another note, is there an award that we can nominate you to receive for your work on this site? You truly deserve it and so much more. Although, I only post from time to time, I visit several times daily for my shot of love.
Finally, thanks to all your regulars…I have learned so much from each of them.
i was noodling around, looking for info on isaac, and found this informative site provided by the national weather service.
http://www.weather.gov/com/weatherreadynation
very informative and helpful for all-and clearly a result of pbo’s initiatives in putting govt info on the web where folks can get it easily. ironically, it should help the rethugs with their tampa problem!
Well damn, if it they didn’t predict the prominence of Sister Sarah and her ilk in American politics!

Darlene McBride’s “Take Back America” tour
Guess who said this: “As America prepares to pick our president for the next four years — and as Florida prepares once again to play a decisive role — I’m confident that President Barack Obama is the right leader for our state and the nation. I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility. It is a vision of the future proven right by our history.”
Please note that Gov. Crist deals with the $716B Medicare lie in one neatly constructed sentence. Well done. http://t.co/0iBMqFZV #TFY
— Allan Brauer (@allanbrauer) August 26, 2025
“The $716 billion in savings his opponents decry today extended the life of the program by nearly a decade and are making sure taxpayer dollars aren’t wasted in excessive payments to insurance companies or fraud and abuse.”
#YesWeKlan replace #Medicare with some really cool Coupons
Was just going to post the link to this excellent Crist endorsement of the re-election of PBO, nice greeting for the GOP convention and conventioneers also.
http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/columns/article1247631.ece
Crist is not one of these extreme radical right wing nut. These people who sat on their butts as this President tried to get this country back on the right track. Mitch McConnell give the orders and in the Senate all they did was block and filibuster anything which could help this economy and put people back to work. If McConnell and the Republicans had put the country first, instead of bringing down this black President, the economy would be stronger. And the tea party idiots in the House, with that sorry speaker Boehner deserve just as much blame as McConnell. And now they have the nerve to blame President Obama because the economy is not where it should be. These extreme radical Republicans are the reason the economy is not stronger. And I pray American voters will use the common sense the good Lord gave them. Now these extreme Republicans have put forth this lying flip flop man, with no core, who will say anything he has too. My hope and pray is there are Republicans out there who just feel that the party they used to know have gone to far, that this is not the party they remember, and they will decide to vote for this decent man, where they might not agree with him on everything, but they see a someone who is doing his best for the people of this country, all the people. Maybe these sensible Republicans will vote for President Obama. That’s my hope.
Lots of mud being thrown by Robney/Rove Ryan this morning.
Like, Crossroads thinks the Welfare ad will change what the public feels about the President. Despite the fact it’s a lie.
And another Medicare ad this morning from Ribney basically saying that the President is stealing your Medicare.
The Debates, he will not be able to lie in the debates. Robney is in trouble during the debates.
Romney is in trouble now, because if he wasn’t he wouldn’t be lying so much. If he was so confident he wouldn’t feel he had to go this far. Out and out tell lies, hide his tax returns.
Awesome
Congrats on 1st Proud.
Thanks so much!
Awesome, indeed!
So so so so so so so CUTE!!!!! Thank you for shaing this”” My maternal instinkt is just screaming at me fight now!! Those two daughters of is are the luckiest girls in the world!!! I wonder if they truly understand how cool their dad is!
Hey!
That little guy is a doll! The big one too!
love it
oh, and the recent one where the little girl is chasing PBO around the Oval Office. There are so many with kids. Then there’s one where a little boy is LATCHED around PBO’s neck with the most content smile on his face. while laying on PBO’s shoulder.
The kids know. THEY KNOW!!
Ah Isonprize, I missed the one of the girl chasing him around the Oval office - added, thank you!
Hi Chips. . . one more you missed. That little girl with the blue flower in her hair! That was awesome!
Oooh Marlz, I’ve gone blank on that one - do you remember if it was a Pete Souza photo? I’ve only included official photos in this post.
Chips, I am trying to find it! Going back to all your posts! :)
We’ll be here all night Marlz!! I’m guessing it might not have been a Pete Souza pic, didn’t see it in those first 100 Flickr pages!
She also appeared in the newspaper the following day. I just cannot remember in which city he campaigned.
I am just too determined. . . here it is!

You genius!!!! Added to the post, take a bow Marlz!
:)
Chipsticks this is beyond fabulous. I didn’t want the slideshow to end. Thank you so much.
Ah, thanks UT and everyone for the kind words - but the hardest part was to know when to stop, there are soooooooooooooo many of them! Delighted you all enjoyed them, we needed a helping of loveliness after all the madness. Sleeps time for me, see you all in the morning ;-)
And the one where he’s cradling the newborn in his hands from last week!!
Too, too many really lovely ones to mention!!
I notice in pictures of the president with babies and children, how he echoes their facial expressions and body language. That is why he draws people in, they always look comfortable and the babies smile so much. I’m sure it’s instinctive. I notice it more with children because their faces are more openly expressive, but it’s always present.
Indeed they do…my favorites are of the 2 children who salute the President….the ardent and intense look on their faces…is so soul stirring….
The seventh pic is my absolute favorite.
The picture with PBO giving the golf ball to the kids is one of my favorites.
(And my reason has absolutely NOTHING to do with golf…. )
Love that too Isonprize - and I almost forgot another of my faves:
Ah, there are few photos I’ve ever loved more. A definite inclusion when I do a non-official-WH-pic post!
PBO is enjoying this moment.
I love this one. It’s from one of the charter schools in NOLA.
Great collection, chips.
Kids do the darnest things. :)
Cuteness overload, amk! I think we were in need of it after the last couple of days. I trust your dinner was tasty?
Yes, one can get lost in a child’s world.
The dinner was fantastic (restaurant was my pick-ha). Self, son & Bil vs wifey, daughter, sister, niece, mom and aunt. We men held well though we were outnumbered 2-1. :)
 Be honest - you lost, comprehensively.
:D :D :D :D Don’t ya know it …
We need wifey unit to visit and give her side of the dinner story - I suspect it would be rather different
wimmin. never take a man at his word./smh
Told ya, we’re smart!
Evening Everyone!
You are a Queen, my dear!
Here’s a good sub for the time being…
It’s a little dated now (look at how small Malia and Sasha were not that long ago; and the “bikini chart” that’s way now nd bikini), but still warms my heart
Um the secret service guys gonna kill one of these people one day grabbing the president like that.
Yes, Cman, I see that rather large hand in the lower right-hand corner about ready to snatch our Beloved President away from all that hugging. They do take their jobs very seriously.
Gosh, that was just beautiful. Never mind the tugs and hugs from people. That will never change because PBO is simply just adorable :-D
Amazing, Chip. The first one is probably me fave ever PBO pic. Melt my heart and wet my eyes. Thanks for this virtual shower of all things GOP.
Please do a part II etc, Chips, in the weeks ahead … thank you!
Chips, may I humbly request/suggest that these be made into a slide show with George Benson’s “The Greatest Love of All” as the music.
PBO and children make the best pictures.
This thread with all of those different shots are absolutely priceless. This is probably the first time that kids and babies know the President of the United States. :)
Never thought of that! You are so right!
Fantastic photos, Chips … all the more reason for us to get the job done … this one inspired by the photos …
Romney said.

note to speed-tweeters: this is parody.
The comments in this article is great. Women and men who care for their women are kicking butts in this one.

LOL!
Might be parody - but sure sounds like R&R
“If the Federal government got involved with this hurricane, they’d make the usual mistake of sending food, water, and medical supplies,” he said. “Clearly, what this situation calls for is vouchers.”
That was very funny, and not too far from the truth.
The picture of the Cub Scout is the one that always touches my heart. The affection and admiration in that child’s eyes is something to behold. God bless our President and keep him safe.
Hey how about some Baby Whisperer videos? :-)
Remember this one?
Love you Chips for posting these pics! Heartwarming!
The one with PBO holding his own book is of Justice Breyer’s daughter and his grandson.
WOW..awesome post, Chips! Wonderful pics of PBO interacting with our kids, this country’s future.
What a wonderful man, father, husband and President.
Here you go…thank you Political Carnival!!
How do you pick a favorite? I like the one with the little girl reaching over the red plastic barricade and all the pics where kids are latched on for dear life. Thanks, Chips.
Chica, THIS is the one that gets me everytime. Wow!! There is something in my eye….
I love that one, too.
Pure joy! Pure love!!
Yes, ison:) Vey touching and special
The video UT alerted us yesterday has gone from 40,000 in barely 24h ….
Wonder how hard the folk at MSNBC actually tried to get YouTube to block it …
Very interesting commentary on the video …

More video to be released. It’s real and it gets better than this (or worse) depending on your perspective.

This is one of my favorite. . . :)

Ryan says NH has ‘big responsibility’

He kept the change?
you caught that? I caught that. lolol Yes meta Paul Ryan the cheapskate kept the change. lolol I guess he was trying to pull an Obama when he said he would treat BUT made it clear he was only spending $20 dollars. smdh!
Loved that the independent voter said they were waiting for 10 years of tax returns from Willard before making up their mind. lolololol
Yes, I caught that!
We are never going to see Romney’s returns unless they’re leaked but I LOVE that people are putting it out there to them that they are still waiting.
I heard Romney is a cheapskate also, too.
Says quite a lot about the guy, doesn’t it?
Yes, it says a LOT. And so does the CEO of a hospital being against Obamacare. Just too stupid for words!
Stupid is as stupid votes!
I caught that CEO mention too.
CEO - isn’t doctor, nurse or patient - CEO likes to take money out of the health system - not put it in.
That was awesome I forgot about that song. Man, it was on after the election and I could not stop singing it for the life of me.
Stop and cherish this moment, stop and cherish this time…
Yep, great song! Great time!
Oh my goodness… that’s too cute!!!
LOLz!!
I love this. It was my first time seeing it. I watched at least 5 times already. lol
This is too cute!
Adorable! The name Obama is meant for toddlers — the word is a lot of fun to say. :-P
Cute Adorable Babble, Dudette! I may have to Share that around..Obam-AH!
my favorite photo at the bottom…BWD had a caption to that photo on her site…..women flirt with him…i so loved that…
by the way…cspan is showing past republican convention…on now…..Nixon accepting his party’s nomination in 1968….it is an intriguing speech….
Wow! Wow! Wow! The. Best-est. Post. to reopen my laptop to!
There are some favourites here that automatically trigger an outburst of laughter and others that automatically initiate the need to swallow.
Chips, you sure know the main route to my Obama heart! Thanks!
Seriously CC, do YOU feel the depth of the joy your posts bring to so many in the village? I mean, can you see the glow around us when we are particularly touched? I sure hope so cause it wouldn’t be ‘fair and balanced’ otherwise. ;) ;)
If kids could vote indeed!
Ha VC, you’ve just given me the perfect way to end the post - with that video ;-) Thank you!
I just love it, a4A! It was Chips’ gift to me yesterday, from the end of a longer clip.
ah! It’s perfect VC :-)
Katie speaks for me!!! :-D
Rinse will be on all of the Sunday Shows.
He is beginning to be on every week, like McCain.
Why does the MSM like Rinse so much? He is vile!
I think you answered your own question!
LOL…Truth humor is GOLD!
Wonderful! That picture of the girl saluting is my favorite.
As a kid, I thought kids were smarter than adults. Now that I’m an adult, I see that I was right!
Hahaha….the stupidity of men.
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all !
/aaand I’m outta here.
Pillows thrown at head!! Nerf bat at the ready!
What did God say after creating man?
I must be able to do better than that.
Oh snap!
And then he used the “man’s rib” to do it better. :)
Buuuuuuuuurn! Good comeback Chips.
Don’t work amk, I’ll run interference. Keep going! Run, run!
Cman, not even your interference will save him, even he caught a plane we’d catch him - well, one day any way!
Ain’t no mountain high enuff, ain’t no river wide enough… :-)
naughty man ;-)
Lovely post Chips
I agree with Rev Al, that llast baby in this video really is a challenge, but I believe my President has got that baby’s number too!!
Dudette !!! WEEP - IN!!  whooo.
Rest well, Chips, and thank you!! This one is for you …
Aww neat! Wow, kids grow up so fast! Goodnight Chips! Have a restful sleep. See ya tomorrow!
Brilliant! Never dismiss anyone’s concern however big or small.

okay, sorry-try this one
http://www.vogue.com/fashion/10-best-dressed/week-of-august-20-michelle-obama-kate-moss-miranda-kerr/
Thanks!
with pleasure! this year’s vanity fair best dressed list passed over both the obamas, weakening their brand in my estimation. nobody is more high profile, and better dressed than pbo and mrs o!
Thanks for that link, susanne. I see it was edited by Chole Malle who is Candice Bergen’s daughter.
“Bronfman: Obama’s Support for Israel “Bone Deep”
http://www.njdc.org/blog/post/bronfman080712
Correction: Mr. Bronfman is former CEO, current Chairman of WMG. Sold the company last year. Comes from the family that owned Seagram’s distilleries.
Thanks again for the link and quotes!!
king of tweets! all hail ! (but i honestly didn’t see where the economist said, dude, you suck) (wish they did, though!)
Susanne, I didn’t say ‘said’ but they more than adequately conveyed that message :)
BTW, thank you for the kind comment! Much appreciated, but far from my goal - we don’t need kings, we just need 4 More for 44 :)
You just nicely summed it up! He is definitely a man of the people, and we are lucky to have him.
Hey, has anyone caught this new show, Totally Biased with Kamau Bell yet? Think I’ll go see if it’s online or On Demand and see what’s up.
I think I saw a commercial that said that Rachel was going to be on….
Beautiful ~ thank you for this Chips :)
——————-
Fox News’ Selfish Partisan Evil Endangers Navy SEAL
http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/fox-news-selfish-partisan-evil-endangers-na
I don’t really care about this greedy navy seal. I think he endangered his own unit by writing this book just to make money and embarrass Obama admin,
I’ve also noticed that the WH doesn’t seem to be losing much sleep over this.
Absolutely!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
http://www.tampabay.com/features/events/sara-evans-replaces-wyclef-jean-at-rnc-party-in-tampa/1247584
Sara Evans fits them well, she’s all white!!!!!!!!!
And, I’m fairly sure an evangelical Christian. She indeed fits them well.
Yea, hypocrites
Google her though; she’s not a total goody-two-shoes … been involved in a divorce, implicated in some affairs, etc. Yep, your typical Republican1
Yes I didn’t get that either. Not to mention his fawning over Sarah Palin of all people. Ugh.
Ugh! WTF was he thinking? Is he that hard up for money?
I can’t see Willie Nelson there proppin’ up those gops..he’s more of a Gary Johnson kinda guy. The mystery is Wyclef..what happened?
Kids can’t vote, so we have to work our butts off registering those who can vote and getting them to the polls.
OT/  / I figured you guys could appreciate this little email interaction between a friend and I - a friend I hadn’t spoken to in several months, and one who had been initially quite surprised to learn of my
obsessionkeen interest in things Obama.——————————————————————————————
Very cute!
This is very funny - on both sides! :)
Poetic indeed.
:) Wonder if Rick Scott will ask for govt help for clean up? Oh…the irony
Yup, and he has already declared state of emergency which is the direct path to receiving government funds for clean up, repair, etc… LOL!
After a somewhat hectic day, I have loved spending time here tonight, sifting through the pics, videos and hilarious comments! I love you all so much! Anyway, I thought the pic of the little chap with his Dad and Mama, and PBO… the baby is wearing a white shirt, vest and a nifty blue tie, seems to be asking PBO to help him take it off! Or at least, showing PBO they both have lovely ties to wear! And that was my fave tonight, as I had not seen it before. Wonderful to end this day finally, and is such a loving way! Sweet dreams all! {{{{{{{{Chips&TOD}}}}}}
chips gifted us with this link earlier today-i really think the whole ‘isaac means he laughs’ thing deserves its own curse here.
http://www.yiddishcursesforrepublicanjews.com/#
I was kinda wondering if Donald would lose that squirrel on his head in the winds of Isaac….I’d PAY to see that!
aiiiiyeeee! doubled over! can’t breathe! flying squirrel indeed!
Bwahahahahahaha!! Flying squirrel!!! Please…. stop…it hurts when I laugh this hard!!! :-D
Yes, I’ll be praying for that one. Might start up a novena. :)

Sorry, susanne!!
those people were already scary! :)
Hilarious! Except I think they forgot the one that comes with pizza and a side of creepy!
The thugs blame steele for choosing tampa when it was a collective decision thrust on him. Typical rethugs. Blame your failures on the blacks.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/08/steele-to-critics-get-over-it-133212.html?hp=f2
HAHA..it’s just a matter of time before Steele endorses PBO on national TV.
Deep, abiding love right here…
So tell me, how effective is the RNC going to be in emphasizing their “We built this (with no government assistance)” theme when Rick Scott and other governors in predominantly Repub states are asking for government help for hurricane/weathe-related disaster relief? The governor of Alabama has already cancelled his trip to the convention entirely. Something tells me that Bobby Jindal will follow suit very soon.
This does make me believe there is a god after all. :)
When Ann Romney was on Rock Center and she talk about how honest Mitt Romney is. I could not believe she said that. Ann Romney husband is a bold face liar, and if I ever met her I would tell her that to her lying face.
Ann lying husband is still running that lying race baiting welfare ad.
Thanks for the kid show. Made me tear up. So cute!
Chips,
Thank you again for creating TODville…where I come for all things positive about PBO.
I agree with everything you just wrote, just wanted to say ditto!!!
Me too. Not sure how I kept it sane before I found this site. Thanks Chips and all who post here.

Very good read. Thanks, amk.
I can never get enough of this… FLOTUS is AWESOME!
Right On Dudette, FLOTUS is Awesome.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My man Jace knows his presidents, including our illustrious Prez Obama. Love this kid!
Cuteness quotient through da ROOF!! :-D
i was noodling around, looking for info on isaac, and found this informative site provided by the national weather service.
http://www.weather.gov/com/weatherreadynation
very informative and helpful for all-and clearly a result of pbo’s initiatives in putting govt info on the web where folks can get it easily. ironically, it should help the rethugs with their tampa problem!
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/com/weatherreadynation/news/050112_pilot.html
seems tampa has received a lot of preparation and support from the weather service—your tax dollars at work! so, hmm, who built this?
Seems like former GOP Governor Charlie Crist has become an Obama supporter. Had his fill of tea bagger craziness:
We need some more prominent and sane repubs come out and endorse Obama. especially after the thugs’ kkklowns show.
Yes, where exactly are these prominent and sane Republicans? Other than the Women Republicans for Obama, I thought they were an extinct species.
Here ya go. :)
I think we’ll be seeing quite a few between now and the election — especially after the DNC. I’m gonna enjoy this ride.
I yeah wonder how that whole Marc Rubio thing is working out for Florida?

Darlene McBride’s “Take Back America” tour
Guess who said this: “As America prepares to pick our president for the next four years — and as Florida prepares once again to play a decisive role — I’m confident that President Barack Obama is the right leader for our state and the nation. I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility. It is a vision of the future proven right by our history.”

BOOM!
Rita, it is a stunning endorsement by former FL Gov Crist - Republican - and needs to be as widely distributed as possible. Thank you for posting it!!
Bob, he left the party! He’s an Independent now.
I read that full bodied, Full of Facts, endorsement of Gov Charlie Crist, Rita..It’s brilliant! Thanks~
Beautiful pictures Chipsticks. Thanks for this. Any parent with an ounce of sense should be voting Obama.

“The $716 billion in savings his opponents decry today extended the life of the program by nearly a decade and are making sure taxpayer dollars aren’t wasted in excessive payments to insurance companies or fraud and abuse.”
Was just going to post the link to this excellent Crist endorsement of the re-election of PBO, nice greeting for the GOP convention and conventioneers also.
http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/columns/article1247631.ece
Oh Dotster, that’s a thing of beauty - thank you so much for the link, will include it in Rise and Shine.
Mornin’ Obots and deep thanks Chips for the beautiful photos!
Morning everyone:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/08/26/rise-and-shine-279/
The beautiful kids pictures inspired this video :-) http://youtu.be/_tLHD7ZjaR0
