Here is the comment from the lady that I wrote about a couple of weeks ago who I interviewed and she told me about her company making her an independent contractor and thereby dropping her from company insurance. She went and “got covered”. Read her reply to me:

    “Great to meet you, too!

I will write about my very positive experience with getting insurance under ObamaCare. It was nothing like the twisted tales spun on the 6 pm news. That horrible coverage was probably the biggest hindrance to signing up! That was probably the goal of the for profit pharmaceutical and medical industry. Doctors have huge loans from medical school, and they, too, struggle in this economy. The pharmaceutical companies and religious medical conglomerates are scary. Folks just keep drinking the Koolaid and are too comfortable. I think we need more hippies….

I am no spring chick, but I am willing to get out the info to bring in the votes.

If you need help on that end, you have my info.”

This is EXCELLENT GGail! Glad you were able to convince the good lady to check it out for herself - now it’s win-win. She gets coverage, and can then help to promote the ACA to others who might be skeptical. Thanks for sharing with us :)

Thanks HF! She felt so powerful that her company couldn’t leave without an option for coverage. She is an excellent spokesperson!!

We are doing what we can to place her on one of our projects.

Then I want to recruit her to work with OFA on the November Democrat candidates.

Friends, what all the pundits are ignoring is the elephant in the room: These Obamacare success stories. Hopefully, Democrats will be smart and tell all these people in red states with Obamacare that what the GOP wants to do is take it away. That should be enough to drive them to the polls.

What a schedule for our dear President.

Check out this article (one of the most e-mailed today) from the NY Times about how inluential the Catholic Church was for young Barack Obama.

If part of me remains Catholic—and part of me does—it’s because of the example of social justice put forward to me by my teachers in high school. Social justice is the Church’s mission. It has been for 2000 years. Everything else has been the temptation of the Devil, to which all humans are susceptible.

    Under Good News:

“Putin was in such a hurry to snatch up Crimea that he tripped himself up. Ukrainian lawyers started voicing their confusion about the current situation: with his decree, the Russian President acknowledged “independence” of Crimea (because only an independent state can be included in the Russian Federation). Whereas the Crimean separatists were expecting an immediate inclusion as a part of Russia.

But here’s the ticket – at the Crimean “Referendum,“ no one voted for Crimea’s independence that was “acknowledged” by Russia. The option of independence was never on the agenda. The ballots had an option to be included into the Russian Federation, but formally, that is entirely different from independence.

Therefore, the “referendum” staged by Moscow was entirely worthless from a legal point of view. The smarter thing to do would be holding a referendum on the independence [of Crimea], and only after that vote to be included into the Russian Federation.

Obviously, such serious legal flaws mean nothing to Putin himself. But for any reasonable state, this is yet another piece of evidence of how Putin’s heist was a blatant violation of all legal norms.”

The article is about 6 weeks old.

$60 million, 10 states, 4,000 paid employees. Remember: MSM/Koch’s biggest nightmare is for Dems to control both houses of Congress after Nov 2014 elections. The vast majority of stories from the MSM will be targeted to reduce Dem voter turnout. This may be the last of these stories appearing in a MSM outlet.

The exercise, which started Friday. is called Saber Guardian and has been planned for about a year.

It involves 700 soldiers from 12 countries. In addition to Georgia, they are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and the United States, in addition to 15 Ukrainian staff officers and representatives from NATO.

Did you read about that threatening email (from Russia) that a congressional aide received? The media will not talk much about it. It was vile and disturbing, and it will certainly have all the Putin backers in the US who think this is about PBO, rethink their position.

        • 71 hopefruit2
          March 23, 2025 at 8:05 pm

You will not hear this in the media - they’re too busy pretending that it’s only PBO that Russia has a problem with.

// Kyle Parker, the senior plan advisor for Russia at the Helsinki Fee, gained threatening e-mails in Russian from a mail.ru email handle declaring “sorry I are not able to personally execute you Anglo-Saxon geek&hellip now whore, put together the vaseline,” amid other threats.

BuzzFeed obtained a copy of a person of the e-mail, together with Parker’s communications with Capitol Police about them and his trade with a Russian Embassy official about the threats. The name of the Russian Embassy formal has been redacted. The electronic mail cited in this trade also contains threats towards Alexei Navalny, the Russian dissident activist.

Here’s the gist of the email after translation from Russian to English:

// [Nicely, properly, American bitch, get your cosseted ass completely ready for a fucking. And we’ll do the exact same to that rat identified as Lyosha, you properly know in your scenario it’s greater to convey to the fact, the complete reality about your selfish intentions&hellip sorry I can not individually execute you Anglo-Saxon geek&hellip now whore, put together the vaseline hahahah] //

Today’s Fareed Zakaris GPS was pretty much worthless (think he may be on Sping break), but his opening “Fareed’s take” gave successful examples of states which were exiled/abandoned expelled that are now thriving entities:
    -1965 Singapore (expelled by Malaysia)
    -1949 Taiwan abandoned
-1994 rwanda ravaged by history (small African miracle)

Michael Mcfaul on @maddow on Friday: he believes that President Obama issued a veiled threat to Russia when PBO said on Friday that additional sanctions to sectors of Russia’s economy are on the table. If Russia attempts to annex a “land bridge” from Ukraine to Crimea (or other portions of eastern Ukraine) then Russia should expect broader sanctions from the United States.

This illustrates the folly of the “all-or-nothing” advice that PBO’s critics offer. PBO is playing one card at a time, not laying down all his cards before the entire hand is dealt.

Shouldn’t the focus be on the EU? Gonna be an interesting time in Brussels this week.
