      Damn…no matter where he goes, or what he oes for…same reaction. Adults, kids, males females….it’s the SAME reaction he gets every time. You cannot “stage” this. It is real.

          You are all sweethearts to help me find the photo. And I did find it. Amazing.
          Wasn’t it all so deeply satisfying and heart-moving, seeing our PBO in all settings,
          leading the world with grace and humor and wisdom and his big heart.

  10. 20 globalcitizenlinda
    March 30, 2025 at 2:43 pm

    amazing to see voters who find it so easy to undermine the people (like PBO) who are working hardest to improve their very lives.

    yes, it is depressing to keep reading stories of republicans who have enrolled in Obamacare but still claim to hate PBO with a passion;

    however, as I commented a few weeks ago, this taking one for the team and enrolling republicans in Obamacare is something we must do for the sake of the future of this law and for the nation;

    true, some die-hard republicans will NEVER say a good word about our exceptional POTUS, PBO, but if they can eventually be convinced to vote for politicians who will protect and strengthen Obamacare then this short term crap is worth it

    The newest Republican talking point that our media is more than happy to repeat is that we don’t know how many people have paid their premiums. When you purchase a car you sign a contract and generally have 30-45 days before you make your first payment. That car is sold once you drive it off the lot. No one says, oh she hasn’t made her payment so that sold car doesn’t count. The fact that our media will run with any Republican talking point out there just shows that we have the most pathetic media on the face of the earth.

    Got a little chuckle on slide #52 or the 4th down here. The caption said “President Barack Obama tours the Colosseum with Barbara Nazzaro, Technical Director & Architect of the Colosseum, in Rome, Italy, March 27, 2014. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)52 of 62. I think she is too young to have been the architect of the Colosseum. Or am I just sick? ;)

      I was watching Italian Television and they did identify this woman as the Museum Director. As for architect, I think not, unless she is the architect of the restoration that is going on, which is likely.

      RUSSIA CHALLENGING TRUTHS THAT ONLY A FEW WEEKS AGO SEEMED SELF-EVIDENT

      For Immediate Release March 26, 2025
      Remarks by the President in Address to European Youth

      Palais des Beaux Arts
      Brussels, Belgium

      ———————————————————————-

      So I come here today to insist that we must never take for granted the progress that has been won here in Europe and advanced around the world, because the contest of ideas continues for your generation. And that’s what’s at stake in Ukraine today. Russia’s leadership is challenging truths that only a few weeks ago seemed self-evident — that in the 21st century, the borders of Europe cannot be redrawn with force, that international law matters, that people and nations can make their own decisions about their future.

      Bob, I was hoping that federation business was a nonstarter. Looked like Putin was trying to get international approval for reinstating the Soviet Union as if a) any of the so-called Federation countries want to be affiliated with Russia; and b) Putin had any credibility whatsoever since ‘loose’ federation would actually mean “I Putin control everything you do.” Total BS.

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/03/30/rick-santorum-uninsured-obamacare-enrolees-are-deadbeats-and-wont-make-a-payment/

    Well, howdy! I bet Mr Santorum knows a “deadbeat” when he sees one!! As we are so nicely reminded from a PA commenter:

    Kelly McGee • an hour ago
    those of us who payed taxes in Penn Hills, PA while you charged us for your children’s homeschooling (that was done at your home in VIRGINIA )will not forget who is the deadbeat . Only a real scumbag like you would keep an empty house so that they could shift their educational costs onto the middle class taxpayers in Pittsburgh. Maybe that’s why you lost your re election bid in a huge landslide??

    What a has been idiot. Shame on MTP for even thinking that Santorum could add anything of importance to a conversation.

          yes, the one and only ;

          you see this is how the rightwing garbage travels through the system and riles up people to hate others they consider “unworthy of help”;

          do not be surprised if by tomorrow, this will the talking point from “journalists” who are bound to ask the WH Press Secretary that nonsense - bet on tapper, karl or chuck tood

    So I have seen here today that it is VanGogh’s birthday, and Goya’s and the Irish playwright Sean O’Casey (TO THE IRISH!). My son just came back to tell me (he is a race horse fan) that 44 years ago today, a red colt was born in Virginia, with 3 white socks, and a white streak on his head. They named him Secretariat! And today is my birthday too! Yes, it is DaisyDem’s birthday and I am having a quiet at home, watching HGTV, checking out my backyard, and hanging on TOD looking at all the Souza pictures. The weather is nice; I should get out and do more ….. but I don’t wanna. There will be a martini for me a little later and some Kung Pao chicken from my latest fave Asian restaurant.

        You are absolutely right, Nena. John Kerry is “a Work Horse” with incredible stamina. I am only a couple of years younger than Sec. Kerry. Two months ago I took a three week trip to Europe and Africa. When I came back I was so wiped out. It took me a couple of weeks to recover. And my trip was for pleasure; Sec. Kerry has to deal with bullies like Putin and Bibi.

      This is impressive, by any standards! I clearly remember when Medicare was enacted. It took time to catch on. Yes, Medicare also faced GOP opposition, but not as sustained and vile as the ACA has faced. Besides, Democrats controlled Congress; which means that Congress didn’t waste time voting to repeal Medicare. More importantly, opposition to Medicare was not aided and abetted by the National media. Contrast to our current, so called mainstream, media, which have been aiding and abetting teabag/GOP opposition to the ACA. The media have done that by amplifying and sensationalizing ACA websites glitches, white refusing to cover all the good news about the ACA.
